That's one of my favorite mugs. Turkey hunting is quite special to me as well.

Majority of my reels that I used 25-30 yrs ago are Quantum that they gave to me during a Bassmaster Classic. Great reels very smooth.

Great video as always. I would love to see a video on the Winchester model 72 if you have one. Great competition for the remington 512/582

When I was a kid the neighborhood men would have casting contests darning barbecue or cook outs. Put hula hoops down the road and try to get the weight in the hoop. Was always fun to watch. Good old days Richard

I have some old Mitchel reels that are still going strong. They just don’t make anything to last anymore. 👍

Good morning. I bought a old Ryobi bait caster couple weeks ago for cheap. Good little reel.

I also have a Ryobi baitcaster. It is much the same as the Daiwa PMA series reels. I upgraded mine with bearings instead of the bushings it came with. That really made it smoother, and it actually casts better now.

I too have some old Shimano baitcasting reels which I should clean up as you did. I see one little spacer left over when you took the drive gear off did you end up putting it back in? Sometimes they put in extra parts that just aren't necessary LOL I know this for a fact because I had plenty of Parts left over rebuilding carburetors and everything else when I was young and things still ran fine. Always looking forward to your next videos thank you.

What looks like a spacer or washer is actually a stain print on the cloth where I placed the drag washers.

Nice video Tom. What line do you like on your baitcasters?

Clean is the name of the game. Small parts make this exercise tedious.

When you work with your hands like I do (mechanic), those things happen.😄
