Great Series, Sir! My favorite among your most excellent offerings. Please least us know if the double-grouping in your fine 39A resolves. Interesting quandary; one might suspect scope or Clean Barrel Syndrome...? We await your next!

Just saw this video today. Blazer has been good for me. All the new packaging is good but I loved the old boxes of fifty with 25 right side up and 25 upside down. Saved room in my tackle box. A brick of ten boxes was $4.29. A singe box of 50 shorts was .49 cents. But that was the early 50s. Good Old Days

Thanks CO,very accurate shooting from all three rifles, and you would always never go hungry with any of them in the woods.i have the model 60 and definitely dont shoot it enough, but my plans are to take it to the outdoor range soon.22 ammo is still pretty affordable and in a pinch it will do anything from feeding you to protecting you.

I shoot a lot of 22lr, since about June of last year, I have bought over 8000 rounds of 22lr. My go to is CCI mini-mags, but I have also bought Aguila 40 grain target ammo. And I have lot of the Federal Punch 22lr, but not all of my guns like the Punch...🤷‍♂

    • @CumberlandOutdoorsman
      @CumberlandOutdoorsman 6 месяцев назад +1

Federal Punch is really intended as a self defense ammo, so it may not be ideal for rifles. CCI Mini mag ammo, especially hollow points, is premium ammo at a decent price.

Nice review! The CCI Blazer 22LR is far more reliable, consistent and accurate than Remington's Golden Bullet 22LR. It also burns substantially cleaner. The Rem GB suffers from reduced-power shots in about one of every 20 or 25 shots. I stocked up on bulk packs of both brands back in 2013 when they were on sale and the differences between the two are remarkable. The Rem GB ammo is now relegated to my 22 revolvers because of how dirty it shoots.

Good morning from Barren County, Kentucky Tom,
Nice video, thanks for sharing it with us.
The CCI Blazer .22lr shoots very good out of my CZ-457 Jaguar, and my Marlin 39A.
Have a great week. God Bless.

Sir, your Marlin 60 came to play.
My old 1988 Model 60 was the most accurate 22 I ever owned. I gave it to my nephew and I think he appreciates it. Except that he uses Remington ammo sometimes which is disrespectful in my opinion.

I haven’t used the Blazer .22 ammo very much, but have shot quite a bit of the 9mm Blazer. The economy of the 9mm has been an attractive feature and the performance has been good for informal practice. I was pleasantly surprised with your results. That 581 is one fine shooting rifle. The 39A redeemed itself on the 50 yard targets. Is the 39A your older gun with the Ballard rifling? I have one of each, a Golden 39A (1969) and one of the pre Micro Grooved models (1946) and enjoy shooting these lever guns. I enjoy all of your .22 rimfire series videos where I seem to learn something valuable from all of them.

I've probably still got a few boxes of 15-yr old Blazer .22LR around but haven't shot any in about that long. I used to get 525rd bulk-packs of Rem. Golden Bullets for $8 on-sale 10 years ago which were very adequate for plinking but always 10-12 duds per box. Marlin Model 60 for a win over the Ruger 10-22 IMO.

I tightened the take down screw on a Marlin 39 Mounte that grouped side to side and it took care of it. I actually used a coin but used a pair of plyers on the coin to be a little tighter than my fingers would get it. Probably the recoil of a slight movement of the receiver side to side.

It has a squirrel stock and a medallion of the Alamo on the right side of the stock Found it in the back of a pawn shop but haven’t shot it yet. Love the video. Thanks as always

The CCI Blazers in the red milk carton are only 38 grain. Not the same bullet as the 40 grainers. I wasn't sure that I liked them, but they are starting to perform pretty well.

These CCI Blazer rounds are a CCI Minimag charge, with a CCI Standard Velocity slug. According to my local gun shop. I find the Blazers to be more accurate than the Minimags.

    • @CumberlandOutdoorsman

Good question. That stock came as a walnut blank from Wenig, and I added the rosewood for-end tip and grip cap. I then finished it and checkered it with an 18 line per inch classic pattern.

Cumberland Outdoors Man. I’m going to upset you but when looking for accuracy out of a rifle with any ammunition you never change your aim point. If you think a reflective needs leaded in shoot mor3 rounds but keep the aim the same. I have used Blazer ammunition for small game on and off for 30 + years..🇺🇸✌🏻🙏🏽😎👍👍👍

I say yes. It's boxed and in a tray whereas most other cheap bulk plinking ammo is loose and tends to have more dud rounds do to being jostled around and breaking up the priming compound around the rim of the case. It is also liked by my rifles. In fact my Stevens Model 66 LOVES Blazer. Clovers and ragged holes.
