      Hey there Tom! Thanks for watching, the compliment, and commenting! It's just one of those "easiest" things to do, yet seems to pose so many questions. As you know, it's actually not only easy, but I kinda think it's better on the entire coach's inverters and electronics if they can be powered down. Though commonplace with other brands, Newell has resisted recommending it for the "normal" user-base.

    What a detailed explanation that you gave. Thank you for that. There are so many systems to check and detail is important. I've been following stories, clips and presentations about Newell and it seem to be a very impressive company. Lastly, a bill of around $3500 for such a big and impressive machine is a bargain. Really well explained! -- QUESTION -- We are looking for a Class A and have heard from Liz Amazing and many others, that he best models are made prior to 2008 due, in part, becuase they are pre- all that EPA nonsense that supposidly ruined diesel engines. However, while we are targating Country Coach of that vintage, we are wondering how important all the modern driver aids are, such as lane keep assist, "Comfort drive":, adaptive cruise control etc. Would you prefer to own a Class A with modern technology, over an older but excellent condition Country Coach without DEF and all that stuff? How would you consider this issue?

    • @RVSquaredSteve
      @RVSquaredSteve Месяц назад

      Thank you very much! This is a personal decision that is based upon upon my technical ability and desire for modern features. So, as much as I hate the concerns of DEF systems, it’s a fact you can’t get around if you don’t want the “aging” hassles of a coach that’s going to be 25 years old. In and of themselves, dealing with aging motor coaches and the problem with parts availabilities, they both have distinct disadvantages.

    I posted my new 2023 F150 Hybrid on a F150 board. I was excited to use the pro power from my new toad. The vile, ignorant responses I received were insane. Do you know how to correct the powered air dam hitting the front plates on 2023s?

    • @RVSquaredSteve

      The ignornet can be cruel, indeed. I have no experience with the Active Air Dam, but it sounds like your Air Dam was NOT trimmed correctly to provide a relief cut around the plates. This cut should be ¾" x 3-5/8"; according to RoadMaster.

    Is it a double female coupling like you said or double male coupling?

    • @RVSquaredSteve
      @RVSquaredSteve Месяц назад

      Yes, the plastic coupling is a double-female which, normally, would screw into the male threads of the tank’s outlet. But, since I’ve converted the entire system to quick-connects, the threads become reversed; hence putting the males into that double-female in order to make the correct connection into the outlet.

      You’re welcome! Enjoy…and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure you’ve engaged Neutral Tow as well as supplied your Raptor with a 12v charger lead.

      @RVSquaredSteve I went with a Jackery portable power to run mu patriot portable braking system to run it vs trying to run a hot lead from rv or any battery in towed vehicle. Works well.

    Hey I noticed that in the description you wrote the EMS-PT50X but when you click on the link it actually takes you to the SSP-50X. Is there a difference? Which is better? Thank you!

    Your list has 3 quick connects but I count at least 4 , maybe 5? With 3, I have to keep it me permanent on in side of filter and one on water softener. The 3 are then on one side of filter and softener and regulator? Do you concur? You show at least 3 - 2 on the softener and one on the filter.

      The systems I design and build have many sets; ranging from 5 to 8, depending on the components put in play. The list is there as a reference and the QC come in sets of 3, so 2 packs are needed for most applications. Thanks for watching.

    Why would the trans be low unless you just worked on it or a leak? Also what I got from this is check the dipstick once past 100 degrees. I would live to have one of those dance digital shifting panels like you have. I wonder if it can be installed in a Dually

      Good question. Oil does have the chance to leak or dissipate on any trans, really. Shouldn’t be very much, though, and if it’s an ongoing issue, it should be looked at.

    Will your clamp measure voltage also? Your pigtail is a good idea.

      Absolutely! It’s a full functioning Multi-meter and will measure AC/DC voltage, Resistance (ohms), as well as NFC for sensing live circuits!

    Steve, great video. It is amazing to me the number of people that don't use water softeners. I also put together your 3 stage water filter system that you posted a while back. I ordered all of the components that you suggested. It works very well and several people have come up to me in parks and ask what the heck is going on!! Ha. I point them to your video explanation. How about a video on importance of 4 corner weighing and adjusting tire pressures accordingly. Safe travels.

      Thank you, Dan! Thanks for the suggestion on the Corner Weighing; I'll see what I can put together. Appreciate the suggestion.

    Great job I run a sediment filter before the on the go and then a carbon filter and virus filters on the output to eliminate the salt and any other stuff. I also bought an inexpensive water meter to monitor usage. Rather than buy the super expensive triple filter in the metal case i bought 3 filters at home depot and three camco filter holders. More hook ups but easier to store. I use clearsource ultra filters

      NICE! Yes, I run my 3-Stage before the Softener. It's gives 5, 1, and 0.5 micron filtration. Thank you for watching and the compliment!!
