Me and my brother having fun around the property. Tearing apart old engines, or getting them running again. Cutting ridiculous amounts of grass in odd ways. Modifying and ripping around with the go kart, and other random things
Servicing a FREE Husqvarna mower! (Honda powered)
In this video, I fix up a free Honda powered Husqvarna lawnmower. Multiple people had tried to get it running before me. It turned out all that was needed was a simple carb cleaning. It will definitely be a good candidate for selling.

Working on the mini quad (It's a basket case!)
Просмотров 18914 дней назад
In this video, my brother and I continue working on the mini quad project. We tie up some loose ends and do a lot of much-needed maintenance, including fixing some major fuel issues. This project is still a work in progress. The main issue is obviously the engine smoking and being likely worn out. This is far beyond the scope of this video to fix, and I'll have to worry about that at a later date.

Black Widow Go-kart gets new tires!
Просмотров 179Месяц назад
In this video, we finally get new tires for the go kart changing the tires was a bit of a challenge, so I ended up giving in and letting a tire shop do it which wasn't exactly cheap. But the new tires have definitely improved the off-road grip quite a bit.
Testing propellers on a 25cc weedeater engine! (RC prop car build Pt.1)
Просмотров 640Месяц назад
In this video, I make an adapter to fit the flywheel of this weedeater engine so I can bolt on propellers and test them out. I tested two propellers and got some pretty good results. I'm quite pleased that my sketchy looking test rig worked. If few notes: The lawnmower deck with this engine was about 30 lb. Which is quite impressive that the little weedeater engine was able to push it as well a...

Просмотров 2633 месяца назад
In this video, I tear down and rebuild an old weedeater engine. I decide not to keep the weedeater part because it has numerous issues. But the engine although worn is still good and I have an idea for an interesting project that I'd like to use it for.
Husqvarna 130BT blower missing MANY parts (Can I get it running?)
Просмотров 3723 месяца назад
In this video I work on a Husqvarna 130BT backpack blower we got for $10. It was missing many parts including the carburetor, air filter, assembly, and fuel tank. In the end, I was able to get it running, but not well. There will be more videos on this blower.
Why 2 strokes engines are rarely used on lawnmowers!
Просмотров 8473 месяца назад
In this video, I talk about some of the main differences between 2 stroke and 4 strokes small engines for powering lawn care, equipment, and machinery. There's a reason why lawnmowers almost exclusively, use 4 stroke engines. And why small handheld equipment almost exclusively, uses 2 strokes over 4 strokes.

Restoring an old snapper mower! pt.1 (New carburetor, getting it working)
Просмотров 3214 месяца назад
In this video, I start the process of restoring an old snapper hi vac mower. The old leaky carburetor is replaced with a new one. I also clean up the valves. The project is nowhere near complete, but the mower is in a mechanically working condition. In fact, I used it to mow the lawn and it worked great.

Liked your video young man. I had recently refurbished a 1983 Yamaha G1 Gulf Cart . I included the F & R transmission since the rear differential doesn't include reverse. Powered by the Predator 420 cc engine. This setup has plenty of takeoff power but does take a few seconds to get up to full RPM. At that rate i measured around 42 mph. Handles well at this speed on a straight away. It steer's more like a car than a gocart since it has a steering gearbox and tie rod ends. Although its got all new brakes. Tires, engine, shocks and springs i don't feel really safe running at 40+ mph. Anything could fail causing a serious accident. Besides, Gulf Carts were never designed to travel much more than 15 to 20 mph tops.
Gr8 test young man! Cant wait till you start flying yourself around the yard!!! Lol Love the Prayer!1😇🙏👍
Hello, thank you for making this video... All the other ones I could find were in Russian or other languages that look like various versions of kaopectate spellings
You're welcome, it is something I have been interested in for a while.
Go Squishy!! Get your exercise!! 😊😝
You need bigger rear tires
It would improve the clearance, but this is the only size I could find these tires in that would fit the rims.
I reckon that sound is rod knock, at least from what I hear early in the video
Scary, well, I'm waiting for the engine to give up the ghost.
@@Differentthings2006 I need to watch the whole video...not sure what the extention is atm 😂
@@jetstream454 It did seem to go away after a while, so I have no idea.
@@jetstream454 Oh wow, it took me this long to figure out my spelling error. lol
@@Differentthings2006 Right that makes sense now hahaha. Yeah you just enjoy those engines while you can lol
What do you guys think of the name Baby Blue, my brother hates it :) lol. I would also love to hear your suggestions on a name for this little ATV.
YES I do hate it Adrian, and I think a good name is just mini quad or blue quad
Well this thing is cool although its a little bit sad for the engine because i thing the engine has a way bigger potential than only running an air compressor since diesel are made for long time usage but its a nice project and good work! 👍
Yeah, I think it'd be better suited for an application like running a generator where it could get up to operating temperature and run for a long period of time rather than just running for 5 min max. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Awesome! Just like me when i was your age! You have a new subscriber! Keep going!
Thank you, I love learning about mechanical things.
It uses the same engine as the famous Honda Dax 70 motorcycle. 1969-1999 6.0hp-9,000 rpm. It would be interesting to change the piston rings. There are many spare parts for this engine.
Interesting, I believe it does have more horsepower than what I originally thought, because once it gets up into the higher RPM range, it pulls pretty hard even with me on it. I hope I can find some spare parts for it because it smokes a lot. I might have to rebuild the top end.
Important note: I realized after posting this video that the starter button actually does work I just had to depress the break while hitting it... Silly mistake on my part.
Crimping the connector: on top of the tool are 3 slots with a colour dot equaling the sleeve colour. The solonoid needs 4 connections. The 2 twelve gauge make contact to suply current to the starter motor. But you need a + and - to make it operate(steering current). - might be the unit bolted to the frame and - batterie bolted to the frame or a wire. + comes from the starterbutton. Flywheel with magnets and coils give electricity. When a magnet passes a coil it generates current. Gen 1(coil1) is feeding the ignition system. Gen 2 (coil 2) is charging the batterie. When you have a batterie it should read aprox 12 v with a non running engine and 13/14 v running. It might already be burn. Please make a second on how it goes further.
Thank you for your comment, I found out after the video that the starter button does work, you just have to depress the break... dumb mistake on my part. The starter solenoid did have the plus and minus that causes it to switch on and off, they were just coming out the back covered in a black sleeve, so it was hard to see. Spoiler we found out it actually works fine. I will be coming out with another video in which we continue working on this ATV and get a battery for it and testing out the electrical system more.
Do you think someone thats 6ft could fit in one of thoses?
I'm 6ft so yes, but it is quite tight and if you're any taller you will be eating your knees.
@@Differentthings2006 okay thank you so much!
Someone was working Very hard to help you make this video! 😇🙏👍
Thank you for your comment, I also believe God works in our lives. Did the video help you with your project?
@Differentthings2006 all info is helping, I just bought a frame, stripping it down. It had been sitting for a very long time.. I'm not in a rush, witch normally I would be lol😇🙏👍
@@Robert-k7m Well, I'm glad to have helped, have fun on your project.
Label says. Diesel fuel only. Can't fill other than Diesel.
Could be, they just left out the all important "than" part.
This is the kind of stuff i live for lol.
I was doing some further testing with this after the making of this video, and the nut that holds the propeller on came loose, even though I just tightened it. So I replace the nut with a nyloc nut.
You should of stood on it 😂😅
I actually did sit on the thing after the video was uploaded and to my amazement it managed to move me across the floor although slowly at first by the end of the shop it picked up a little bit of speed.
Rudolf diesel not invented product as a junk, just about quality maintenance of engine user is junk.
I'm not sure what you're trying to communicate, I am not calling the concept of a diesel engine junk, I was questioning whether this particular Chinese made diesel engine was junk or not.
cut off the cooling fins from the flywheel, they just make un nessesary drag and the coolin from the prop will be more then enough, maybe even cut off some of the cooling fins from the cylinder for waight reduction becuse of the better cooling from the large prop
The flywheel fins are not necessary, but the fins on the cylinder help conduct heat away by adding more surface area. The only thing with breaking fins off the flywheel is, you could end up making the flywheel unbalanced.
At 7:03 I calculated I was revving that little two-stroke to over 12,000 RPM!!
When you said "bru..." to Anthony. 😂😂
Im actually looking to get an old yazzo brush and field mower and upgrade the engine to something with a little more torque... Only problem is would a pully with a 5/8 bore fit the 20 mm shaft
Unfortunately not, 5/8 in. is a lot smaller than 20 mm. Your best bet would be to get a 3/4 in. pulley and sand 1 mm off the shaft, which is what I did. Or you can try to find a 20 mm pulley but they are very hard to find.
You save my day bro same problem in my brush mower thanks 🙏
I'm glad it was helpful to you, it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that it was the fuse.
̶W̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶d̶i̶e̶s̶e̶l̶,̶P̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ , Please change to " With (Use) pure diesel,Please " The explanation below is Please use pure diesel, Biodiesel and other types of diesel cannot be used!😓😓😓
I see, I've seen videos of these engines, running on bio diesel, and other alternative fuels such as vegetable oil. It makes sense that the manufacture doesn't recommend this. But it's pretty cool that they can run on different fuels.
Thank you,
You're welcome.
I did this many years ago for crazy thick grass in the backyard. Works like a charm. I had to weld a brace across the front though. The wheels start to camber after a while. Also i left the big wheels on the back like normal.
Interesting. Yes, I made another one of these with a more powerful engine, and they do quite well in tall grass and weeds.
This is honestly one of the best vids on all of RUclips! This is a hardcore rebuild, very impressed with your work and you came out with a pristine and awesome machine at the end of it :)
Thank you very much, I enjoy working on small equipment. I use this blower all the time and it still starts 1st or 2nd pull every time!
Always check the intake boots on those. The 4 bolts loosen and they run lean. Sometimes the carb will have a slight wiggle. Seen two recently with the same issue.
The Intake manifold was tight, thanks for the suggestion though.
Hi there Good job have good day be safe.
Thank you, I will.
The all come with a hole in the crate, mine was not even bolted down.
Interesting, not the best packaging, but I have seen worse. Thankfully nothing major was broken.
I don't know why and I don't know what I would do with it but I WANT ONE!! (Heh)
Great video, but just a bit of advice: Never start these on concrete. You'll run the risk of cracking the block.
Thanks for the comment, these days I usually start engines on a rug if they're not attached to any equipment.
Never thought of that, great tip!!
Swap the wheels over leave it low at the frunt when you get high grass the big wheels on the back will help to leaver it over the tall grass when you push down on handle
I made a 2.0 version of this and it has larger wheels in the rear.
I bought one and put it on a go kart but it was too slow so I took a junk four wheeler engine and made it into a standalone transmission and hooked them together
Interesting, I'm guessing the extra gearing made it easier on the engine.
Moving too fast for me, wanted to see which hose went where on the purge/primer bulb but.......
For this model it's quite simple, the line coming from the purge bulb connects to the top of the carburetor, and the larger outlet at the bottom of the carburetor goes to the main green fuel line that comes from the tank.
What cc is that engine. Also I was thinking of just getting a centrifugal clutch and having a chain going straight from the centrifugal clutch to the back axle. What tooth gear is that?
This is a 212 cc engine with some intake and exhaust performance mods. A centrifugal clutch is good for certain applications, but it will make your kart pretty slow off the line since you'll have to gear it for the top end. Once you get up to speed though, a centrifugal clutch is actually more efficient because you're not wasting any of your energy through a belt. It's also a course simpler and lighter.
Try to be less white😮
Time out for a teaching moment. Always pick up your trash on every trail, even on your dads property.
Yup, it took a while to find out the little pieces, but I think we got them all.
What make and model is the compressor pump?
That extra gasket material often acts as a heat shield
Okay, that makes sense. I imagine you could also make another gasket out of it if you needed to.
@@Differentthings2006 yes I’m sure you could. I would leave the carb one whole though. Without it you might get vapor lock
Job well done guys!!! I have a very similar Stihl that makes a knocking noise at times. You have me wondering if the clutch is going out. And yes that RC car sounds great. Hopefully some vids on building it
Smoke Fest 4 coming soon?
Oh yeah, it's coming! Towards the end of July is when we usually do Smoke Fest. It's gonna be pretty good this year.
I own a chinese 6 kw, 230volt diesel generator and it works fine. Brandname lawntop. Rather loud though, so I placed it in a free standing janitor for gardening tools made of concrete blocks. Have it running out in the open would cause my neighbors to complain.. The fueltap is crappy and leaks. I catch the leakage in a small container. Good emergency power supply.
Nice, mine has a little fuel leak as well unfortunately. They are very noisy even if you put a good muffler on it the diesel knock is quite loud. The nice thing is they just sip on fuel. I only refill mine every few months and I use it for a diesel powered air compressor.
Sticker means no black diesel WMO or veggie oil WVO as fuel. Cheers Graham
I'm not sure if that was meant to be an insult or a compliment... I've heard different alternative fuels can run in these engines quite well, such as vegetable oil and biodiesel, etc.
that was very cool
those Pumpkins looks cool
They weren't too bad, mine was better. :) :) :) :)

Important note: I meant this video to be a general overview of the differences between 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines in the small engine world, and why they are typically used in certain applications. I was not trying to say that only 4 strokes are used on lawnmowers, and only 2 strokes on handheld equipment. There are exceptions that work quite well, as I mentioned in the video.
