When you are trying to shape metal, put a big hammer behind the piece you are hammering on. Works like a dolly.

Sanding the cut off lip to get that wicked edge off it....yep- MUCH safer now. Definitely going to make something like this. I think more exposed blade would be my plan - inch or two would help me with our brush.

It does seem to make quite a difference when getting heavier material like brush underneath, without bogging the mower as much.
