    What make and model is the compressor pump?

    The Sichuan Sifa MB168F diesel has all steel gears, except for the governor. The high oil consumption will surprise most people. I made a 20 MM to1 inch crankshaft adapter to mount an 8 inch pulley on mine. It stays mounted on a thick aluminum plate or a hard fake wood plank, but a steel mount will always work loose. I turned the throttle stop bolt way in and I pour oil with no funnel to keep dirt out. The factory muffler will drip oil, so I expect to wipe it off a lot. This is a real premium diesel purchase at a reasonable price. Even the tall air cooled diesels don't come close.

      Interesting, I don't have a need for another diesel right now, but if I ever do, I'll have to look into these.

    1. Clever use of spare lawnmower wheel!
    2. I'd be wary of grease flinging into the clutch shoes.
    3. You could try nylock nuts to mount the engine, which could be almost loose so that your rubber washers are less compressed.

      Thanks for your comment, those are some good ideas, if grease does get on the clutch shoes, I'll just clean it off with some brake cleaner.

    Well this thing is cool although its a little bit sad for the engine because i thing the engine has a way bigger potential than only running an air compressor since diesel are made for long time usage but its a nice project and good work! 👍

      Yeah, I think it'd be better suited for an application like running a generator where it could get up to operating temperature and run for a long period of time rather than just running for 5 min max. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

    get a drain zit for the engine, its a hose that attaches to the drain plug that makes oil changes on small engines easier

      @Differentthings2006  4 месяца назад

      That would be a good idea.

      @@Differentthings2006don’t it takes absolutely forever to empty your engine with oil I took mine off cause I was so frustrated

    • @Differentthings2006

      @@dmilladakilla2487 I might just buy a little pipe and extend the drain plug away from the engine a little bit. It'll also of course help if I run the engine first, so the oil gets thinner.

    2 things...1 you got intake and exaust valves backwards...2 you put way too much grease in that clutch, if your gonna try to be informative in your videos then maybe you should inform your self first so that you can then properly and accuratly inform others...

    • @Differentthings2006

      I did get the valves mixed up, although it's not important, they both should be set to the same tolerance which is around five thousandths of an inch. I put way too much grease in that clutch for a reason, the clutch has a lot of play in it, and therefore it will not allow the engine to idle, because it vibrates so much. The heavy use of grease helps take up the gap, and allows the clutch to work correctly, if any grease gets on the clutch shoes, I will just clean it off with brake cleaner.

    You should add idle control, I did on mine. They call it a pigtail for some reason.

    • @Differentthings2006
      @Differentthings2006  4 месяца назад

      That would be a good idea, would you just add a little notch for the throttle to sit at idling speed?
