Thank you very much for commenting about me. I did my best to explain how to install the kit. You Explain better than me. Great work. I just happen to stumble your video.
I’m hoping the engines and the related parts will continue to get cheaper and easier to obtain as their popularity goes up. But if I’m needing a cheaper side shaft replacement the predator 212 will still be my go to!
That seems like an interesting engine, and starter kit. I think I would want to move the ignition switch to the tractor dash. (Which I assume you will) One thing about working on new equipment is, it's clean. Most of what I work on is pretty dirty. An interesting and informative video sir. Good quality. Have a wonderful weekend sir. Thank you for taking the time to show us how it's done.
As much as I watch, I thought I was already subscribed.. anyways, problem solved. Really digging this little engine and there's just something about a Wheel Horse! Blessings and respect!
You might have to reset your rpm with that adjustment screw to where it was before the kit was installed since you made a custom spring. This really is no big deal and you can do it by ear if you dont have a tach, but a tach is the best way.
Maybe I missed something, but why do you need the stator and ignition part of this kit? The starter and flywheel I get but I dunno I must be having a brain fart on the other stuff and it's purpose... wait fog from the fart clearing up a little bit. Ya wanna keep the battery charged, okay I was thinking of my application which is on my snowblower on which I use the 110 volt starter that is onboard so exsqeeze me so sarry😅
Technically you don’t! But the kit came with the all those components so it can charge a battery as well. If you’re going to go through all the work of changing flywheels etc, you might as well give it the ability to maintain onboard power.
I have 2 Yanmar L70s and I’ve thought abt doing this to them but for the cost of the kit I can get a whole predator 301 or 420 and use gasoline instead of Diesel and easier to get parts. I can’t seem to find parts or an injection pump for these smaller 3hp engines at all. It is pretty cool tho I’ll say that.
I agree completely. They are cool engines but not quite practical yet. I'm hoping more suppliers in the states will start carrying more of these and related parts to decrease our cost! Thanks for watching!
Mount your motor on an aluminum plate, then your tractor or the steel will flex and periodically attack your four mounts. During long break in, beware of very high oil consumption. It can go low fast.
@@andycallow5052that would work fine. I know normally on the small gas engines like these you can pull vacuum from the valve cover to run a pulse pump. Not sure if the diesel would be the same or not. Also, the firing of the diesel injector might be enough to draw fuel without a lift pump. I haven’t tested either of those options though.

Your video helped me greatly!
That’s really cool, I know from experience how much it sucks to pull start a diesel

I love your videos! I have learned a lot from them!
Thanks for watching !
Good job
Thanks ! Electric start kit is still working perfect !
Thank you for the video, helped me a lot!
Cool project for sure! Can't wait for the next vid!
Will have the next video out this weekend! Thanks for your support!
GREAT VIDEO.
Thanks! Hopefully it'll help some people
Great video.
Thanks!
Do you have a part number or a link where i can get the same e-start kit also thanks for the information i didn't know a kit like that Existed
Links are in video description. Thanks for watching

Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Can you put the links in the bio for the starter kit?
It is……

Where did you find the kit and what's the part number
All the info is in the video desscription
Where did you get the kit?
i’m also wondering
It's in the video description...
can you leave the gas tank off the engine and use the one that's on the tractor?
I don’t see a reason as to why not. You’d just need to run a transfer pump to get fuel up front and run a return line back to the original tank.
@@LaidOffGarage maybe small electric fuel pump ?
