    Hi Demi, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m at the same residential as you where at, I knew immediately when I saw your hand print on the thumbnail! I’ve been here for just under a month now, and this video has just come up on my RUclips recommendation, crazy! Thank you for sharing this video, I wish I had found it before I came here to CWS, but happy to have found it now, it’s made me feel a bit of hope that people do leave and live there life after there time in hospital, so thank you.     I think if you're going away on your own probably your best bet is Japan or Canada (very low crime rates). Unfortunately not very hot! I've looked a lot into going away alone as a female and these are some of the safest countries. If you can afford maybe Singapore? Personally I felt very safe in Vietnam and it's such a beautiful country. A lot of negativity regarding recovery and I do agree you are possibly verging into orthorexia but the alternative is so much worse. I'm in the same situation and I'm starting to believe full recovery doesn't exist for some of us. I think in today's society everyone has some sort of disordered eating! We just have to do our best and hopefully one day we'll be free if it. X

    Hey Demi, I don’t want you to feel bad or feel unmotivated but there are a lot of ed behaviors that come through that maybe you aren’t aware of and so I thought it maybe helpful to point them out and make you aware :) firstly you are allowed to eat things that don’t scan well on your APP! You don’t need to eat everything that is “unprocessed” I never see you have anything that isn’t a “health” food and just remember everything in moderation is good! Too much of one thing isn’t! For example too many tomatoes isn’t good for you even though tomatoes are deemed “healthy”! It seems as though you are sort of going backwards? I don’t want to make you feel bad but I think it is worth pointing out - you aren’t having your “ part 2” of breaky, you aren’t having as many snacks, you aren’t having any sort of “dessert” after dinner, you managed to get yourself to have 2 normal slices of bread at one point and now you are back to one which isn’t enough :( a portion of protein is 2 eggs, not one - it’s just really worrying :( and I hope that you get the help and that you heal because I can see how much you want recovery but it’s a battle and you can’t do it alone!     Some good meals there, yum. Were you using an app to scan food in Saino's at the beginning? I hope its to help you choose higher protein? Using full fat dairy is ok too. Great for your gut health, and you are not eating huge amounts. Fat is vital for health and good skin. Red curry looked fab and I'm a huge fan of avocado on toast. Ive started using a SAD lamp now and vitamin D spray. Like you say its gloomy now in the UK and I find it lifts my mood loads. Would live the banana bites recipe please ❤ Have you tried making quesadillas with the wraps, so good! X

      Thankyou so much 🫶🏻 I do use the Yuka app but I find it really useful, that’s true possibly I don’t consume enough fats I’m not sure it’s hard to know, the curry was so goood it’s one of my favourites along with avocado toast too 🥑 SAD lamps are great especially this time of year in the uk!!!! The banana recipe is 3 ripe bananas, 1tsp vanilla extract, 1tsp baking powder, 2tbsp cacao powder, 60g maple syrup you can add more or less depending on how sweet you want them, and 150g nut butter, chopped nuts for the top, mix it all together and bake for 25-30 mins, quesadillas sound amazing I will have too try ❤

    I tried the banana bites but added a tsp of instant coffee powder to the mix, amazing! Where did your 2 breakfasts go? Come on Demi! You got this! Dont give in to the idea of having a body that resembles a 10 year old. Im all aboit health, but be mindful of the fact that being under weight is also very unhealthy. I love your content and think you're an incredible person. You've got to fight this though, if you want any form of freedom in your life. Sending you so much love and strength 💪🏼 ❤ you got this!

You are doing super well but some little things that could benefit your recovery is adding things like another egg to your sourdough, maybe add some seeds to your meals etc. And yes to changing the way you think! putting things into perspective is so important.     Hi Demi 🥰 just wondering why not try have the Fage 5% yogurt instead of the 2% or 0%? You said in another video they didn’t have the one you wanted so you had to get the 0% but why not in that scenario just push yourself to get a full fat yogurt of even another brand? Idk I just feel like getting the 0% yogurt isn’t a very recovery wise decision if the higher fat yogurts do scare you

      Hi Demi, You are doing so well, but as somebody else commented I am a little concerned about your choices, like why not take the 2 % yoghurt in another brand, if the one you're used to is out of stock, or even give 5 % a chance - I even think you've tried that before. Can it be that the ED feels like it is a good excuse to pick the 0% one?? Maybe ask yourself why you chose it, not a failure if it was the ED, just a realization, acknowledging it - a step towards making your healthy self stronger? Also in your beloved oats In the morning, the banana has been gone for a while? I am just a little concerned, you are worth so much more than being stuck in this semi-place, you're so beautiful, inside out, please take a step back and look at what you are doing, just so that you're not slowly getting sucked back deeper in anorexia. I wish from the bottom of my heart that you manage to take the steps, actions, that I know you know, deep inside, that you need. You are such a beautiful person, I love your videos, and I wish so much for you to feel better, to finally be able to leave the ED behind - I know you can 💕

      Hiii, to be honest I do prefer the 2% over the 5 and often get the 0% fage because I do really love fage yogurt most supermarkets only stock the 0 or 5, I eat a lotttt of yogurt and having the volume of yogurt that I do in a full fat version probably wouldn’t be good for my cholesterol hahaha, I appreciate and value your comment sooo much but it really isn’t coming from a eating disorder driven perspective because it’s not the higher fat percentage that concerns me, I do genuinely prefer the texture of the 2% ❤️

      ⁠​⁠@@user-mr5pe7de9jheyyy, with the yogurt there is no ed driven thoughts or behaviours towards it, I don’t like the texture and body of the 5% and I do eat a lot of yogurt so my preference is between 0 and 2 but I will always get 2 if it’s available. I love that you have mentioned this !!! I have stopped having the banana I don’t know why I should try and have it again because I have made up some strange rule around it all of a sudden!!!! I should definitely have it again on my oats 🤩 thank you so much for the comment and I’m sending all my love 🤍

      @@Demiproudman I am a medical student and I know very well that full fat yoghurt will not elevated bad cholesterol levels . It’s actually the opposite, full fat dairy helps to decrease the bad cholesterol (LDL) and thus reduce the risk of heart diseases and blood pressure. It also helps with satiety . I know how you feel about having it because I have ed and i worked so hard to let myself have it and now I have it every day and I love it I am proud about that . Just let yourself to try it once with a different mindset don’t let your ed control what you like or what you don’t like . At the end i said that because I am really proud of you and you helped me so much and I want to help you too ☺️💕

      @@Demiproudman I think everyone just wants to help you and it’s difficult when you’ve verbalised a few times how stuck you’ve felt in recovery. Yeah theres more fat in the 5% yogurt but if it is truly about the potential to raise you’re cholesterol, for the brief period of time just having it to recover, there realistically would not be much of a impact in the long run on your cholesterol. and needing it to be the 2% or 0% yogurt in order to be able to continue to have the large volume of yogurt that you would like to have still just feels a bit disordered to e idk. I do wish you the best in your recovery but these decisions just make me feel under the impression that your recovery will continue to take a longggg time xxx Also no one is telling you have would need to continually even after recovery to eat the 5%. Yeah if it turns out you like it more then go ahead but if it truly is a preference sure after you’re recovered or are past the stage where you no longer feel stuck, have the 0% or 2% to your hearts desire. Or if it’s a worry that the 5% would raise your bad cholesterol then be mindful of that being the fear, and have the 0% or 2% but make up for the lack of fats by adding unlimited amounts of HEALTHY fats like nut butters or granola etc…. I think if there is a hesitation to do this aswell then I think it’s about more than just the potential risk of raising your cholesterol 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I have LED lamps that I can set to any color so I put my bedroom lamp on red, turn it down really low and set a timer so it turns off after I fall asleep. It’s supposed to help with melatonin production I think.

    also, if you like overnight oats, please try making overnight weetabix and add raisins and chopped apple in it, its so delicious and has a nice texture ! <33 don't either forget adding cinnamon!:)

    highly recommend visiting Krabi in Thailand! <3 been there 2 years in a row cuz its that good! its versatile (compact as a city, lots of activities to do) great beaches, beyond delicious food, and good vibe and nice and friendly people:)

    Hey Demi, I’d love to see you do a video about the things that you really want to speak about. I do love watching your videos but the ones I enjoy more are the ones where you actually speak about thoughts & feelings on more of your in depth emotions. I think I actually get a lot more from those & I like to see the real Demi. Not saying the ones where you prepping meals & going shopping etc aren’t enjoyable to watch. But do you think you do more of these to try & mask how you’re really feeling? It’s just a question not any judgment or assumption. Maybe it’s not something you’ve even thought about yourself. Whatever you think I just want you to know that it’s ok to show your vulnerability & nobody on here is going to be judgmental or say anything that’s inappropriate. But you may get a few challenging questions, but that’s only a good thing because it will make you think. There’s probably a lot more to Demi than even you know ☺️. One thing I’d like to say is, PLEASE be careful when you’re out walking in the dark. Even just in general, walk in more public areas (I don’t mean all the hustle & bustle of town) rather than through wooded/secluded areas on your own. I think that comment comes more from my side & experiences I’ve had. Basically all I’m saying is please stay safe. Sending you lots of love 😘💕 xxx

      @ Oh, that’s so annoying. What I was saying is that Its so good to see you back on RUclips as I’ve been really worried about you. I just don’t want the anorexia get its claws into you & send you back down a slippery slope. You’ve worked so hard & I don’t want to see that taken away from you. I see Demi & anorexia as separate individuals. Anorexia is loud, brutal & abusive. Demi is kind, caring, amazing & strong. But YOU are the one who needs to be louder & that’s NOT easy. But don’t let anorexia undo all the hard work you have done. Maybe you could write down some positive things about yourself, put them somewhere that it will be the first thing that you see when you wake up. If you can’t write the words with, I AM _________ then take what others say about you Eg: Sarah says I AM caring! Write the persons name how I’ve just typed it, __________ says, I AM ___________ . (Hope that makes sense). You don’t have to feel it or even believe it straight away. But start to gradually take one message, look at yourself in the mirror & keep repeating the phrase that’s been written. Write in big bold letters, Anorexia, **** *** ! (I used the strongest words which maybe why it was taken down 🤦‍♀️.) I just want to see Demi, and NOT Anorexia. Right now it seems like to really aren’t eating enough to fuel your body. I’ve seen some meals on your TickTock pages. Maybe if you write down what you’re eating in a day & look at it, think about what you would say to another person in recovery who would eat the same. And don’t forget you are also working now so in reality you need more fuel. Writing down what you eat in a day may not work for you. I don’t want you to become obsessive about writing down your intake. So if it’s something you’ve done in the past & it’s triggering then DONT DO IT! I’m Sure you said you were seeing a therapist? Might be an idea to run these things past them because I’m no professional. Keep pushing through Demi, you deserve to have a life rather than an existence ♥️. Sending love and hugs, 🤗 xx

    Honestly, now I'm OBSESSED with pesto. I don't now, why, but my extreme hunger kicked in so much, and I'm craving for things like this. (I'm eating with just a spoon... without glutenfree bread or something "side". Just the pesto... 😅)

    Well done for cooking with your dad. I always find that I get really irritable when I try to cook or bake with other people. 😬 I don't know why. Also, I really empathise with the battle in terms of other obsessions creeping in. I find it so hard to not be busy as well.

    I can relate to this so much. I find batch cooking helps me as it means that I’m spending two hours cooking once a week and the rest of the time I just heat up meals I’ve already made. About becoming obsessive about things, keep challenging it, but most of all I have found that as life moves in your need to do certain behaviours moves out of your mind. You’re doing amazingly well, if need be try to schedule in down time. I’m doing an access course as well as working and juggling that as well as relaxing to prevent burnout is hard, but it can be done.

    13:30 I completely get you. And the icky thing is, the only way to combat that, is to take ‘the other thing’ away as option. To do a thing, knowing you cant step back to the familiar tomorrow again. I started with three days before i could. Then a week. But we need to train our mind things are okay, even when we cant run back to the safety. Because plottwist: things are actually not unsafe to begin with. Much love

    Demi, Ive been watching you from the start. You've made such great progress but I notice especially this video you seem to especially be struggling again with the thought processing and getting sentences and words out like your maybe under nourishing your brain or maybe just suffering from extreme stress/ fatigue. Please don't take this as criticism or hate. I say it as I genuinely care even though I only know u through a screen as a viewer. Please take things easy and give yourself permission to nourish yourself well. Hugs. Xx

    Yes i struggle with other obsessions now , routine, constant movement , been productive , house jobs , tidying etc the list gets longer so try keep check in urself if can hun xx Exercise and food still there to so life gets impossible !

    also one tip. try not to over think or plan everything. it doesnt matter if sometimes you just need to buy on the go, or maybe a quicker option. or not plan or someone makes something. It shouldn't over ride your whole thoughts. whether its out of anxiety about what your eating, or if its a rule, you need to work it out. as it can go from one obsession to another. Ingredients are important don't get me wrong but it has a time and. place. if your truly interested about them its fine, but you have to find a healthy balance. so your brain isn't constantly consumed. Maybe finding some sort of passion or hobby, for your day. I know it's not easy! you can work on it I believe in you :)

    I understood you so much!! when I do something un normal that I dont feel good doing, to make myself feel better I just say in the back of my mind "its fine I can always make up next time" even if I dont do it, which I don't it just makes me feel better, I guess. it used to be a good thing to make me do things. but you start to know it keeps you trapped, you need to find other reasons and work towards the actual goal. I was/ still a bit in a constant cycle, luckily for me im a bit younger then you, but also thats not a good thing as it ruined my teenage years. the sooner you move away from it, the sooner you can get back on with your life

    Oh Demi x I know exactly how you feel and mean, my daughter had exactly the same thoughts and feelings, she had to do this at a certain time and had to prep this a certain time, crying about her body, wanting to go back even though she was a prisoner and very unhappy, she was so busy during the day, she had to get up at 4am then was shattered by 5pm it was very distressing for me as a mum to see because at that time the ED was stronger than both of us. Her mind was always on overdrive and the problem was that the ED wanted her always to be moving and doing things to compensate for any food she was eating. So what I did to try and release this (as you can gather my daughter lives at home) when she was younger she absolutely loved jigsaws, we brought loads to second hand ones, I gave her a task so when she got up at 4am, instead of doing her prepping I asked her to look for any jigsaws near us then I would arrange for us to collect them, that meant she was sitting still doing that, we would then spend hours up the table just sitting completing them, focusing on them especially for her brain.If the ED crept up which obviously it did I would change tactics saying I needed a cup of tea and should we have a break on the sofa, she would agree as she would sit with me (she was very vulnerable and needed for me to be close all the time) so while making my tea last forever, she would sleep for a little while and have a rest. What I am trying to say is that at this stage of recovery its about distraction tactics, try to think what you absolutely loved but not food related, my gorgeous girl is now through that stage and so will you Demi, give yourself a big pat on the back and say I’m here because of ME because it’s you doing it. I always praise my girl, I supported her 24/7 and still do but I always remind her that it was HER who did it, it was her who tackled the Ed thoughts and moved forward.     awh demi! having an ed will never make sense hence the feeling that you want to go forward but also go backwards. I’m sorry you are feeling like this, it’s hard to try make a reason for how you are feeling, this path you are taking is going to be difficult of course, but later on you will find comfort in the small things that you don’t do anymore, later on in recovery your head won’t seem to re count everything you’ve eaten, when someone told me that i was shocked and accused them of lying, but trust me they were not. I didn’t even notice that I don’t do it anymore, my head was just less filled with horrible ed thoughts. food is just a small part of what the problem actually is, these feelings are completely valid but it’s super important that you don’t go back to your ed. Super super proud of you for everything! sending you the biggest hug and all my love to you xx 🩷
