Thank you for another inspiring video! I actually followed my meal plan for the first time today and feel so proud and extremely guilty at the same time. I'm not even underweight at the moment, which is such a big thing my ED uses against me. But seeing you eat and fight your ED really inspires me to try recovery as well.
Thankyou so much 🫶🏻 I’m so proud of you for sticking to your plan honestly it’s going to feel uncomfortable but it will get easier and when it feels wrong actually it’s right so you should be proud of yourself ❤️ remember as well that weight does not determine your ed, I know it’s hard to block out them thoughts but you are so deserving of recovery and freedom, keep on going!
Agreeing with Demi here: your weight does not designate the fact that you have an eating disorder. And ~ underweight according to whom? ~ forget the numbers and the BMI charts and the bullshit. Your body knows what weight it's supposed to be at, and it will continue to communicate with you so long as you listen. Honour your hunger ~ mentally and physically
Keep going Demi, you’re pushing through and showing you’re so capable of recovery especially with how you talked yourself in to the reasons for having the icecream.
I love baked oats. I'd like to share my recipe with you!❤ 60g oats 1tsp baking powder 1tsp vanilla 1tbsp maple syrup/honey/agave 160ml milk (I use oat) Put in a blender and blend until completely smooth. Pour into an oven safe dish Put 1tbsp of biscoff (or any spread you like) in the center of the mixture, and push it down just a little until covered. Bake on 160c fan for 20 mins. You can also add half a banana, walnuts, (I love pecans and cinnamon) It's so amazing!!
Thankyou so much for sharing ❤️ I actually made them this morning (but I didn’t blend them) I couldn’t find the blender but they turned out nice and I loved it so thank you for the idea xxx
@Demiproudman I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Such a good and simple recipe! If you can find a blender I definitely recommend, the texture is just so good. I also bake them 5 mins longer, let them cool and cut them into oat bars, they're a good lil snack! ❤️
I love these videos. I just want to remind you to keep going and make sure you're having enough. as sometimes anorexia makes us forget how much we actually need. could you do a day/week in the life or a what I eat in and do, so we get to see a bit about your day x
Thankyou so much ❤️ that’s so true it’s so easy to underestimate how much we need, yess for sure I will do a video like that thank you for the suggestion 🫶🏻 x
I think you have gotten a bit of a sun tan. Also, therapy being unexpectedly cancelled is such a massive blow, especially when you have been waiting all week for that space. It can totally throw your day off as well.
I think it did catch me on the nice couple of days we had which have soon disappeared 🥲 Honestly yes that’s so true, it has really thrown me off, trying to keep positive and not let it set me back
Thankyou so much that really means a lot!! The stir fry was delish!! I’m not sure if your in the UK or not but I got the stir fry from M&S they have a deal where you can pick and chose different noodles and sauces and veg and meat 🙌🏼
Did you happen to have mayo, or any other kind of dressing mixed into the tuna? It looked kind of dry, as did the side greens. I notice that when you have toast/bread, you stick to small pieces, maybe you could challenge yourself to the deli style sandwiches on the menus in restaurants.? Also, perhaps another cereal, besides the shredded wheat? Going out for walks alone is likely reinforcing exercise symptoms. You're not taking in enough to burn calories on walking. I realize getting fresh air is needed, but eating more does not mean you have reserves to promote weight gain, early on in recovery.
I don’t like mayo but I do use olive oil in my tuna. I like it that way it’s more tasty and fresh but that’s me others may prefer mayo ☺️ that sounds like a really good idea will definitely have to challenge the bread :)) I appreciate your comment, I’m allowed to go for walks and always make sure I’m fuelled before and after! Also shredded wheat is my favourite 🙌🏼
I love your content demi and I am the first person to give you a huge congrats for your recovery when you push yourself. I love that you are eating more regularly, but I think we also need to speak to that sneaky ED of yours that is creeping its way in... there was barely any avocado on the toast and only was on one piece, the bread is soooooo thin, the tuna was pretty restrictive... I dunno... the whole day looked like someone really trying in recovery but being tricked by her ED. I would love for you to try foods you "don't like" to see if that's actually true or if the ED is making you believe that. I hope this doesn't come across as not being supportive because I really am one of your supporters but I also think your ED needs to be called out too if that makes sense. Keep on keeping on... you can push this demi!
@@Demiproudman perhaps you can ADD to the shredded wheat since it is so plain and fat free. A lot of your meals are VERY low fat if not fat free. (barely any avocado for example and nothing with the tuna). You need to be increasing the amounts and the right types of foods. For example, breakfast should have MORE nut butter. At least 2 tablespoons (a GOOD amount). And adding some seeds on top too or butter in the oats. Your body is crying out for these nutrients. You NEED them and A LOT!!! You cannot eat small or 'normal' amounts. You need to be going BIG with everything. Switch the apple for a bagel or toasts. And no skimping on the nut butter. Walking is having you burn energy you don't have! You are not even eaten ENOUGH to begin with so when you exercise you are just prolonging the recovery process. IF you do physical activity in the future, you do need to replenish. AKA, an extra FULL snack (bagel and peanut butter AND butter and a glass of milk, an energy bar and glass of milk and banana, granola and FULL fat yogurt and nuts. etc.) But you shouldn't risk it now. XXX REST is what you need.
@@Kleigh8484 TOTALLY agree! Not being mean, but caring. Barely any avo on the toast :( And no drizzle of oil on top. Thin bread, dry tuna, barely any nut butter, fat free light dinner, light snacks etc. Recovery happens by eating BIG AND eating the right foods. Adding the oil and butter and doing the hard stuff even if we don't like it. It means using mayo because that is how you make a tuna sandwich. If you were in the hospital they would serve it and have you eat it. Recovery is NOT about doing what we want. It's doing what is needed. No I don't always want to put coconut oil on my sandwiches. But I do. Because I know it is what is right and good for me. Buttering bread is just NORMAL. BUT it is also important in recovery. An apple for a snack and a bit of nut butter will not cut it for someone in recovery. You CANNOT eat 'normal' portions or foods. This is a medical diet. You HAVE to be eating more than others. It's science. You need to MAKE UP for lost food.
What about trying something like pancakes or French toast for breakfast? Or a bagel with Biscoff or something? You are doing great! Coming from someone much older than you who’s anorexia is also older than you comment. I have just constructive criticism and not hate or not saying you’re not doing a good job but a lot of your portions look quite tiny… Especially poor ice cream!! It just looked so sad in that big bowl!! keep pushing because I have had glimpses of the other side and it is so much better❤
