You can always count on me for some honest first hand opinion here :) as a free upgrade we can not say anything bad about them. Others are charging, but that’s not the point here. Neural DSP are faking with loudness a perceived better first time experience compared to all others. That’s just one thing that I find disturbing, once you gain match it to the others, there’s not much left. I could replicate any Archetype with the Helix Native, with advanced routing and fx option. With better distortion behaviour. Even Tonocrazy which is free blows any neural archetype to it’s ground. Better sound, feel, distortion behaviour the whole thing is awesome! Looking forward to hear your opinion on it, time to break it down:)

If can bring something to this great community I’ll share it, in times where most guitar influencers became industry klick puppets, misleading and shifting products in the the wrong direction, we have to point things out. Luckily you’re not one of them, and that’s why I support your channel. Spending your money on the right product is key, if iveould start from zero and you’re asking me wich software amp sim would I recommend, it be Toncracy all day ! It’s free, this is where we are, I would say it’s even slightly better than tone x. Something is going on with the feel of it that I’m missing with tonex. Check it out buddy

@@jorvten360also, I bought their Cory Wong model, I can’t tell if it’s the same for all NeuralDSP plugins but it’s f***g way toooo heavy on CPU (got an M1), takes half a minute to load and a latency going from 13.5 to 59ms at low bitrate (depending on the amp model). The sound and UI was pleasing but the coding is awful. As a fair’comparison, Amplitube 5 takes 2 or 3 seconds to load on my Mac and doesn’t make my CPU being saturated.

Hi friend!! Although I don’t have Tonex Max I can imagine that there’s a lot of fluff (less useful gear) in there. I think that when it comes to captures, you have to be more deliberate and just choose the things you really need, I find that captures get really expensive, really quickly. Talking to friends and colleagues, it seems to be consensus that there’s a few great companies with great captures, that you should probably buy directly to save some money. But just make sure you are getting captures you know you like already. You can find great captures from: the studio rats, amalgam or tone junkies. Those 3 companies are really doing a killer job! I own a few of their captures and they’re stellar!! I hope this helps!

@@Itsjorgelanzas technically the original Guitar had the classic Danelectro headstock so it is correct but more people do like the banana headstock so it’s cool. I like them both.

I like that old school headstock in like a Martin acoustic or a jazz guitar 🤣 It just looks so weird on the star to me.

Hi my friend!! I honestly think that an ultra may not be the right decision for smaller hands. Even though it’s a bit thinner neck, it’s a wider (taller) fretboard. It makes it harder to make chords with your thumb over in first position, for example. I literally like this guitar because it accommodates my thick fingers better. It does give you the 2 extra sounds, but that’s an easy $30-50 mod. Usually if one fender feels too big, most will, they’re very similar unless you’re getting into like mustangs or jaguars. If I had Ultra kind of budget for one guitar, I’d probably look for something in the PRS S2 catalog, but only either the 35th anniversary ones, or the new 2024 models. They have a couple great options that are very versatile and they do make a neck that is better for smaller hands I think. Maybe a standard 22 or even used CE24. I’d go to the store and test the necks. I hope this helps my friend! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I agree, they’re definitely not the same. Even different single coils are very different, but I always come back to the thought “does it sound like a strat?” And then I relax a bit more, there’s a time and a place for everything, as long as the quality is there. I personally like the newer noiseless more than these. I feel like I can hear the chord better, with less overtone interference. But, like you said, they can get the job done in most cases. @@Itsjorgelanzas Try the SCN pickups. I've played virtually every noiseless pickup including the Ultra (which I know you like). I think you'll be very impressed with the SCN.

@@Itsjorgelanzas Sorry to ad to my thought: "hearing the chord better" means more compression. That's not desirable for me. You can always ad compression with a pedal etc but you can never remove it.

That’s not what I mean. What I mean, is that there’s less overtones whistling that are out of the harmonic structure of the chords. Nothing to do with compression at all.

Also the cabinet changes how the amp interacts with the cabinet. You can verify this by using an external cabinet loader. Now go change the cabinet/speaker. The mic won’t matter. You’ll get totally different results say using Recto amp with a 112 cabinet vs. the actual Recto cab. Even tho the cabinet is bypassed it will change the sound. As said yeah you didn’t change the cabinet at all. The eagle cab defaults for whatever reason.

@@Itsjorgelanzas have you tried the tonex amp loading to amplitude 5. ? I bought it. Some of tonex amp looks like amplitude 5 amp but sounds different such Marshall amp.

I have! To me, that’s the only way to enjoy the tonex captures. The tonex app feels very limiting to me, like it was meant more to set yourself up for the pedals. Im pretty sure you’ve already seen this, but I got this video showing about tonex in amplitube and what I think, which I think you’ve already seen! DON'T USE TONEX!
