Guided Meditation: Yoga Nidra - Deep Rest
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation. During this guided meditation the body is asleep while the mind is awake. This state allows the mind and body to restore and regenerate😌.
A single hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as four hours of sleep. This is my favorite reason to practice Yoga Nidra, it offers deep rest in a short amount of time. The ability to rest deeply is beneficial, especially for parents. Parenting requires a lot of energy which may lead to a feeling of depletion. This guided meditation will help you feel nourished and restored.

      I would wait maybe 15 min after you eat. It’s a gentle practice and shouldn’t really cause any issues. If you wanted to be extra cautious, you could wait 45 min after you eat and then do the sequence.

      Great question: although this video is for heartburn, the chest openers will help with shortness of breath. Shortness of breath may be caused by hormones as well as baby’s positioning. Opening the front body will help in creating more space for you and baby though.

    i did this video it was so relaxing.But when i wasnt like i shifted then my alert from my phone sound and said something stupid and rlly scared me.But i did it again and after that i was very straight like i was free from staying unstraight Its my first time meditating and i wil continue i felled like the real world didnt existed anymore.thank u.❤😄

      I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing discomfort. If you feel like you are having symptoms of pubic symphysis, it would be best to see a pelvic floor physical therapist. They can give you a diagnosis and help with treatment.

    Thank you! This is a lifesaver. I’ve been having SI pain since about 12 weeks, but now that I’m in the third trimester, I’ve been getting desperate to find relief. Sleeping in the bed has been something I dread rather than cherish because it aggravates my hips so much. I had a chiropractic adjustment a couple of days ago and have been doing this routine twice a day, and I feel SO much better. A lifesaver!

    These didnt seem to work for me. I am 37 weeks and for most excercises you had to keep your legs closed with the block between them which really provided no space for baby or my tummy. However, I appreciated the different approach. I've noticed some major differences in other youtube videos in terms of execution, and your explanations made a lot of sense.

      I appreciate your feedback🌸. I’m sorry the postures didn’t work for you. I would recommend keeping your pelvis as neutral as possible throughout the day. Stay mindful of your functional movement to keep your pelvis stable. Hope you are able to find relief!

    It was so encouraging to hear Violet say her pain stopped! Since I started getting this pain I’ve looked up exercises to help out and have been resting from walking (which is hard because I love waking) but have been discouraged that this is what I’ll have to deal with the rest of pregnancy.       Yes! There is hope! If the pain does not improve, I highly recommend seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist. They are able to give you an individual assessment and diagnosis.

      You may try placing a pillow behind your spine length wise to provide a sort of wedge. This way you can lean back into the spine, but still be supported. You will also be off of your hip. The important thing is to keep the pelvis as neutral as possible and to move the pelvis as one unit whenever you can. Being mindful of this during the day as well

    Hello...the video is very helpful,I've a doubt.....I'm having si joint pain even I feel the instability at joint level while in supine position, but I'm doing prenatal yoga without keeping any support between thighs and gradually my comfort level is improving,can I continue like that or else I should keep any support between thighs

      I’m happy to hear the video is helpful💜. If the SI joint pain is improving you don’t need to have support between the thighs. That is just a suggestion I give to keep the pelvis neutral. I would continue practicing internal rotation and keep the pelvis neutral until the pain goes away completely. Hope that helps!

      I’m so happy the video was helpful! Triangle and pigeon are safe during pregnancy, however, pigeon may aggravate SI joint pain. SI joint pain feels like lower back pain, but it is more on the right or left side. The postures in this video are supportive for lower back pain as well. Happy you were able to get some relief 🌸

      @@YogiMomLife yes! I even woke up feeling mostly better today, even if it does hurt to pick up one leg to shower or put pants. Overall, I’m not in the miserable pain that I’ve been suffering for almost a week now. Ive had a really good day today! Can I do this sequence on a daily basis to make any remnants of pain go away?

      So glad you are feeling better today! The sequence is gentle enough to do daily if it helps you feel better. But it’s not necessary to do every day. Continue to listen to your body and practice only when it feels good.💜
