I drink beer and wear glasses !
Question, please? I’m thinking about skiing in Japan at the end of March. I don’t want to lug the skis and was thinking of only bringing my AT boots. Do you know if I can get a pair of reasonable skis rented? Thanks!
You want to rent touring skis or alpine skis? Depends. Where are you thinking of going? Niseko?
Da geht der Puls am Ende mächtig in die Höhe.
Just found this. Subscribed straight away. Cracking content ❤
This guys hilarious. Why doesn’t he have more subs? Really good content too for someone who’s never left the US for skiing. Glad I found him
how long is the powder season in japan ? i mean when are the last safe powder days?
Disappointing they do not recommend descending on the tech toe . Would be nice to save on the weight on days with more uphill than down.
What size of skis would you suggest for Japan? was thinking my 107mm touring skis
My kinda adventure! Empty road, beautiful places, car camping, hot springs...dry squid is GOOD! May be not in negative nineteen...
3:18 is hilarious, love it
They are building a shinkasen station in Kutchan, which is supposed to open by 2030, which will speed up the connections to Niseko.
Is that Yuki AI assistant an actual app?
Did you find out or see anyone doing skimo or uphill skiing at the resorts ? I know it’s generally accepted in Europe but severally limited or restricted in other places. I love getting around a resort or mountain on my own power.
Killer plaid shirt ! What brand is that ?
$16 a night in Niseko right next to a lift and the place is spotless and great facilities. A golden find and amazing host.
Monkeys came and saw you bathing.
I use different settings actually the experiments took me while for Night & Day shoots also for my Cycling Adventures the Handlebars device works well + the Colar I love the 1/4 magnetic mounts One for the stick and for the small tripod 28Inch Aoka 10x fiber + the two which comes w the Adventure pack. Personally iIm not in to Vlogging or postings Its for Cycling & fun Vid's to look back years later:) BTW Mastering the Dji 4 results can be Amazing!!
you're a real one for this, thank you
Thank you!
Did it in 1992 without a guide. You could ski to Chamonix. Once was enough. 😛 At times frightened
The largest difference between the North American and European skiing is Corporations. Since the 90's when Vail started to buy all the resorts and resort towns price have skyrocketed. European Ski resorts are government subsidized to help discourage price gouging as ski resorts are seen as a public benefit. The EPIC and Ikon pass will ultimately be the downfall of skiing and snowboarding in the US as the last of the privately owned resorts get snatched up. Long live Purgatory and Wolf Creek
I need beer goggles 😂
i went to japan last summer but i nevr tried skiing there. how does the terrain compare to Rocky mountains
Could you make a video on how you afford to live the ski life, given the skiing is typically amongst the most expensive sports?
So many ski resorts, so little time..
Hey, In Japan, is terrain off the groom not considered inbounds like many areas in Europe, or are there ropes and gates for leaving the ski area like America? Thanks for your help.
No!!!! Not quite yet done, you've forgot to mention that the pilot is required to login DIPS account on fly app after physically arriving in Japan ( due to geolocation) in order to bind the remote ID.
It rains at Baker.
Everyone advertising Japan for a Ski destination is slowly ruining it. In the past 10 years its gotten noticably more annoying and expensive to hit the slopes here for the locals.
You should get an award for this walk-through. Well done sir!
I went skiing in Les Gets earlier this year and had a couple of Americans staying with us. They specifically came over to Europe because the skiing was so much here compared to the USA. Not just the lift passes, but hire and accomodation too.
Great channel. I ski tour Hokkaido back country each year. Amazing. Heading there next week ❤
going to a rave on a mountain and than skiing down after. sounds awsome
Please do a review of the ski areas around Nagano and if any have public transportation - that would be great! Just don’t mention Nozawa Onsen as I love it there and we don’t need any more visitors!
Achtung baby
Are the lens magnetic or clip swap?
Ssshhhhhh, you're letting everyone know the secret of Asahikawa 😛 Another city to add to your Honshu list is Morioka.
Looks like an amazing trip! Thank you so much for sharing! Beautiful editing!
Love your video's. 6:44 would be nice when you make another ski video, if you could get a bit deeper in this topic. ND filter / schutter speed for filming in snow with the 180 rule. Thank you.
February last year I stayed at Sounkyo Kanko Hotel, near the bottom of the Kurodake ropeway. It has big rooms it’s pretty cheap and has a great indoor and outdoor onsen. There are two convenience stores in the village and the Sounkyo ice festival was on while I was there, so fireworks every night. I was there two days and I the ropeway was closed for both of them due to a blizzard on the first night. The wind was so strong I couldn’t go out of the building yet they still had fireworks. Public bus to and from Asahikawa was good and reliable. I also went to a day onsen at the village near the Asahidake ropeway. I highly recommend going there but make sure you have cash… no convenience stores so no atms anywhere. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I didn’t have enough cash for food or to take the ropeway but I could afford to hire cross country skis or snowshoes from the visitor centre and they have a great course there. I ended up getting free entry to an excellent onsen and a free bus to Asahikawa so it was still a great day despite the setbacks. I was very worried whilst waiting for the bus, at night when it was snowing heavily, that the bus would be late or the driver wouldn’t see me but it was only 5 mins late and I was the only passenger. It was a long slow drive with very poor visibility but we got to Asahikawa.
I live in japan, but I haven’t really tried too many resorts yet. I’ve tried sugadaira kougen (nagano), niseko, and fuji. My favorite one was sugadaira kougen - it is smaller than niseko, but less crowded and not as crazy expensive. Fuji was the worst of the 3
Thanks, very informative! But what about Remote ID? I can't seem to understand this part.. a little help please?
That's actually much better than I expected...
The registration website is the hardest part 😅
go buy a bucket of HARDEN THE F@&K UP.🤣🤣
Thank you for sharing. Awesome review and shared with my friends.
Please make a video about the logistics of staying in Nagano and visiting a different nearby ski area every day!
Bin auch immer wieder über das Essen in der Stüdlhütte erstaunt. Was die dort raushauen ist legendär!
Video just in time freund
I went snowboarding back in 2017 to Nozawaonsen Village, It was fantastic, about about had about 4 meters of snow in 3 days. From the states so deep pow, unless in the back country is like 8-12 inches. Up to your arm pits was at a whole different level.<<metric shit ton>> Flew to Tokyo, to the bullet train. Awesome time, love the videos.
That's a REALLY high quality content. Well earned subscribe here. Well done! The beer part was good) Question: if I will set a fixed WB in the morning of my ski day, and it is cloudy, should I change the WB when the sun comes out and vice versa (when sun goes behind clouds) ?
I mean you could but I never bother because it's just one more thing to think about. Especially if the light is constantly changing.
