I rented a car last year in Tokyo - 2 week booking. Used Toyota. What was amazing is that they took no deposit and bank details. I was a bit concerned that I’d show up and no car. But arrived in Tokyo and sure enough all was in order. Driving in Japan is good. I suggest keeping some loose change as there are some small occasional rolls. It’s really cheap.
Hi awesome Japow video's again. How did you get to Nagano in the first place ? I go this january with my son for 12 days in and around myoko, Before hitting the slopes overthere, we would like some days to go to mt fuji, and some other things, for which we would require a car. Renting it in tokyo and dropping it off in nagano is not possible with times-car rental. Is travelling from tokyo to nagano do-able with luggage and a big skibag ?
I'd do all the sightseeing and getting to Nagano with public transport (bullet train, bus, etc). You can send your ski bag ahead from the airport (NRT or HND) with Yamoto Transport. I'll release a separate video on how to do it in early January.
@@TheSlipperySlope thanks for the info, talking about skibag, did you have multiple skis in the bag or just your bent120's ? We consider putting 2 pairs in one bag, against lufthansa policy, but we read everywhere they don't check as long as you stay under 23kg. Any feedback on this ? Cheers.
Ich war echt fasziniert, als du plötzlich japanisch gesprochen hast. Respekt!
How do you only have 8k subscribers? That makes no sense. I always enjoy your videos and the production quality is great :)
absolutely nuts isn't it. think the algorithm just wants the sensationalism which is a shame..
Can the algorithm PLEASE show my man some love???
I love that you learned the language! Lots of people don't bother...
Thank you for the video :)
I was just about to say the same thing 👍 And I love these Japan vids!
Western man speaking Japanese should already be rewarded with 100k views by the algorithm. Awesome video, do please make more.

Thanks for the great video! Exactly what I was looking for!
Great content. I would love some info about parking or could you point me in the right direction? Thanks, Scott.
Very helpful, thanks 👍
Hi I see on website they always include car waiver Incase of damage but also says to purchase additional insurance is it needed ?
Just wondering since there's an option to pay when you pick up the car, can you also pay everything in cash (fee + deposit)?

@@christophebuyck3660 Yeah, Lufthansa doesn't really check. I've done 2 pairs + random stuff in the ski bag as well before.
