Great video Ant, Fred was and still is a national treasure and God most definitely broke up and threw away the mould when he made Fred because he knew his job for creating another legend was done and there will never be another like him. yes it is annoying and I have experienced this quite a few times, and have gone total apeshyte. The thing is these young guys will learn... eventually. The thing is .Are they annoying us or are we annoying ourselves?

This is why I stopped going to the popular spots. There is no real standard practice for wild camping as it’s each to their own although I would not personally pitch so close to someone. The one bug bear that I have is fires on the hills, the damage lasts for years. Go into the woods if you want a fire.

I would go for a different tent altogether. Why buy such a tent then add a tarp to the system. Get the correct tent for what you it for in the first place.

Regarding the handle-mounts, I wish Kelly Kettle would make a folding "double-D" handle like those found on many cups and pans, and this would make for a one-handed pour AND you could pick up the kettle without the comically complex two-handed ritual required to prevent your hand from being right above the chimney. I opted to get the Petromax iteration, as this has the folding "D" handles AND a threaded bung so that the kettle can serve to transport water in your pack.

First ive seen of the kelly ketttle. Definitely a nice bit of kit. I wonder, though, can you use the pot stand, hobo grill, whatever it is, on *top* of the kettle? It seems like you give up the rocket stove/chimney aspect of it otherwise. Maybe there's no real jeed, but it seems like a lost opportunity for more efficient cooking.

You’re all mad going camping in those conditions. Maybe it’s an age thing for me I’m almost 70 and my rule is when the cricket season is over so is the camping season . But if you guys enjoy it keep doing it because you all seem much younger then me but please stay safe👍

The main thing that would put me off the lightweight option is definitely the colour. Green or brown was definitely a must for what we do.
