That stove seems VERY efficient, and i do like that the pot/pan support is not a seperate item, although i would like to see insulated pot handles and possibly insulation around the measuring cup just purely for secure hand holds ( i hate tiny thin pot handles they always feel flimsy in my hand). Bobcat is not for the kit heavy, but lucky for me I'm like tom thumb's little brother 😂 Good cast 👍
Yeah I couldn't believe the speed. I'll be doing a full boil test this week mate so stay tuned. Full stats will be on there too. You do get the cork option to help you out with the handles if you have a big grip, it is removable too. Haha yeah I don't do too bad in the Bob, I never really go light. Big thanks matey for your comment and for watching the vid too!
Nice one Ant. Good to see you out again. Although, it looked a testing one with the weather and being stuck inside. Cooking isn’t easy in those conditions. That stove looks interesting. I’m not usually a fan of those upright stoves, but I like that you can take the pot off and place a frying pan onto it. And it’s got a cup and all packs neatly together, so I might be a convert! ATB mate 👍
Hi Joe, thanks mate. It was nice to be alone with my thoughts buddy. Yeah the plan was to cook outside under the tarp, just couldn't happen, way too windy. Yeah I was struggling keeping e everything upright due to the elevation I had pitched on but it managed OK. What I'd like yo have seen is a lock system on the pot to stove and I'll mention that on the next video I do on it and the stats. Absolutely fabulous though. Haha yeah I'd be surprised if you didn't like it mate if you purchased it. As always Joe, thanks for your support pal
@@AntSurviveTheNight yeah, great suggestion, I think a latch or twist lock is a must on a tall stove like that. Too top heavy to just sit on top loose 👍
I've tried there before. Went waist deep nearly on the way up and yes very boggy. Was too slanty for me to be happy there all night. I'm just to big for the bobcat for it to be enjoyable but at least it held out. It's good to get a quick solo every now and then, but weather definitely wasn't on your side. It is a good looking stove too.
Hi Phil, Yeah you have to be real careful on the Moor at the minute. I've heard some horrible stories mate. Yeah it's a tough spot, two small places to camp really and they aren't perfect but tbh mate what wild camping spots are. Yeah I needed to go out and just take a little time, which I did, 14 hours lol. Thanks pal
When I’m struggling with been on an incline I take something like the tent bag and put it under the table on the lower side or if your not using a groundsheet a couple of spare tent pegs can be pushed into the soil on the lower side and then pop your table over the top of them. Good review of the stove looks interesting and locks in place well 👍
All great tips the Marc, we are all forever learning, nobody can clearly say they master everything so good advice is always welcome pal. Yeah this stove is spectacular 👌
The stove looks like a great piece of kit, the rounded bottom gives a much larger surface area to heat. Next innovation would be to have little dimples in it like a golf ball to increase it further. I'll be sticking to the trangia, but I can see it's attraction to stove-aholics. Great to see that grin back and hear that laugh.
Hi Si, yeah it's gonna get a serious hammering over winter pal, that's for certain. Yeah, I great design idea from them, it truly heats up water fast! I'll be getting a test vid do this week with all the stats pal. Thank you pal, it was good to be out on my own with my thoughts. I'll ring ya in the week buddy
When I saw the weather and then the tent, I thought you were starting another "Can Ant kill the Bobcat" series 🤣 Cracking camp and really entertaining, nice stove review too. Many thanks for sharing, really enjoyed this one.
Aww nice one Ivan, that's a really nice comment to read man. Yeah, count on me to use and abuse but truthfully, I wasn't expecting this weather, rain yeah but not the wind. I'm chuffed you enjoyed it pal, and I'm in love with this stove. Thanks mate, much respect Ivan 🙏
Great to see you back out fella even though weather has been pants but the positive is no basket midges about.. That stove is pretty amazing and very rapid. Glad they sent it to a top notch fella to test it in the field who will give it a good real life test. Take care pal and thanks for your help in all my queries. ATB buddy
Hi Andy, thank you matey. Yeah rough night that, 14 hrs haha! Yeah I'm loving this beast, great that it's all in one. Thank you mate, I try to give you guys a true to life test on all my gear and you know hopefully that you can trust what you see on camera. No worries Andy thanks and contact me whenever you like if you need info or anything.
I regularly use the msr windburner, this new version looks awesome. The high surface area at the bottom is a great idea. Hope you are well mate. Another great video.
Yeah I've heard that the Windburner is a good stove mate. Yes, I totally see why they went for that shape at the bottom, no word of a lie it did not take a min to boil that water. I would say it wasn't a brews worth of water but I reckon it wouldn't take much longer for a full cup. I'll be doing another vid this week on the stats so we shall see then pal
The cooker is too tall and unstable for me. I've had too many pots topple over and ruin my brew/dinner. I have switched to a remove stove from a SOTO Windmaster in the last year.
It was unfortunate that the ground wasn't not great hence the sloping cooking which I don't like as you have to constantly keep your eye on it. In normal pitching if there is such a thing 😆 you wouldn't have a problem matey
Hi Tarmac mate. Yeah it's a special one, I know this for sure after trying, it's gonna be up there with the best of them. Haha, I know now I should have took the OG 😆
Hey Ant Good to see you out, especially in that weather. The stove does look great but I think you can't beat the Alpkit Brukit that does most of that at a great price. I'm looking forward to seeing you out again 👍👍👍
Hello Simon, thank you sir. Yeah it was a miserable evening, I never know how well videos will do when you're just inside your tent, I love them especially if the weather outside is rough. Well, if you was to give this a try I don't think you would be disappointed, top quality kit with great features. Thanks mate for commenting and for watching
You know me pal, no fair weather camping on my channel unless it's nice when we head out the door haha. Yeah I had to hold the door out with my knee due to the wind.
Aww haha! I only realised a couple if hours later that two people had already said it lol. Yeah I'd definitely be looking at getting it mate, lovely bit of kit
No problem matey all the stats are coming. As the vid title says, it's just a first look. I'll be out again in the week and I'll bring you the stats your searching for pal. Haha I'm always hungry buddy haha! Big thanks for watching though
Great to see you back out again, Ant👍 Nice little field review. Looks a decent bit of kit.
Hi, cool stove. Amazed you were able to cook in the Bobcat, I would not have managed that. All the best.

@joehusband8479 giving its due Joe, the pot drops way below giving it more room and control at the bottom
I want that Stove!

Kind admitting that you are going to pee in the empty water bottle. Real bushcraft
