My local Tesco has apparently stopped selling Hot Wheels and Matchbox entirely! Last week their HW dump bin was completely empty and the price was down to 53p "reduced to clear" - this week, no dump bin, no HW singles, just loads of overpriced five packs I don't want. A local Poundland also closed down, and if Tesco doesn't restock, that leaves only two places to find HW and only one that sells MB. So I've been more focused on ebay and collecting older and vintage models recently.

You picked a great time to get the app. AliExpress has these "choice" events. Which means you can view a curated selection of products that are a part of the event. These products are somewhat discounted and if you're smart about what you buy you can definitely get a great deal. AliExpress prices are wild and what you pay one day will vary to the next. I think that £20 - 30 for any display is fair. The free shipping is crazy good but I understand that it's built into the price (from their perspective). I hope I managed to hide it well in the video but in all honesty. The reason that this one didn't go up a couple of days sooner was because my kids infected me with a top tier cold / flu which wiped me out for a good few days lol. I'm not one to cry about an illness and I'll happily soldier on. Hasn't stopped me filming and editing in my spare time and also going out hunting too. I've had to really hold myself back from opening cars so it'll be a great release to get things open on camera and make a cool video about my finds! See you there 👍 take it easy brother

Hey man! How's it going? Cheers for the great support. Yeah I had to watch the 333 SP up close in editing. A lot of bouncing around coming out of the loop slowed it down big time. It has a very flat and pointed plastic base which restricts the wheels for sure. There's so many great cars inside that 5 pack. Try and pick it up if you don't own one already. @customcollects Hey I'm doing great, how have you been? I did manage to find an e case from last year this morning and grabbed 2 more R32 Godzillas and 2 Honda Civic EF mainlines. I may pick it up here soon as I have been getting into Ferrari castings here lately, my collection consists mainly of Nissans and Hondas, all my dioramas are full with Nissans right now, hope you have a great week sir and will catch you on the next video.

Sorry the 156 let you down too my dude! Ahhh, what a really great idea!! I'm so strict with my races that I just take the final race as facts and let the rules dictate the winner. I didn't think to make a 3rd race but now you got me thinking. You could technically keep running drag races and get different results if you're patient enough. Sadly, it takes wayyyy too much time as it is to make a lot of races and edit them. The real truth is that the vast majority of races never fail enough to justify filming it again. Both of the races in this video were filmed only once each. The drag loop is simple and has enough speed and force to make 99% of all hot wheels, including premiums, able to reach the finish line! So far just that premium mustang boss cannot complete the drag loop. It's the only car that fails 100%. Sadly though. Another truth is that we can both see that no one cares about these stupid races anyway 😂 I must focus my time and effort efficiently. But also this doesn't mean that I don't care about the people who care. It's just unfortunately the way things have to be. Even if we don't like it. New video in a few days bro 👍 then I got some good footage of hunting in store and unboxings for the next one. See you there! Thank you always brother for your great kindness and support. @@customcollectsI snagged the two Real Rider sets on sale and the quality is top notch - however, some of the tires are far larger than expected. I still think they were a great deal, but be advised you may have to mix and match them among your vehicles on hand. Also, the axles are welded so it will require drilling to install them. Can’t wait to see it! Glad you finally snagged some 904’s. ❤

Imagine if hot wheels were putting out 333 SP real riders and had now moved on to a metal wing! I can see it now with shell tampos in yellow kinda like the Team Transport. Haha! We can dream right. Yes I love all Ferrari with moving parts. And again. Imagine RLC F40 / F50 in 2024. I had a refreshing look into Ferrari history again and looks like the split from FIAT group was a great decision. But you can tell Ferrari likes to move around a lot. It's a tricky one. Your restored 575 GTC sounds amazing. I wish I had more time to set up and chat more on a discord channel. I did make a custom collects account but honestly with everything that goes on in my life I just don't have the time and I want to make great videos and not sacrifice the quality. If you want something similar to the 333 sp with real riders, Hot wheels did a casting called the Riley Scott that looks so similar and has versions with real riders.

@customcollects I have no Riley Scott castings and I have 4 Ferrari castings in total in my collection, the F40 and 575GTC I mentioned, and then I have a carded 355 and a Testarossa. The 333 sp looks like it would fly on track but looks can be deceiving. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to talk to me man.

Mate that's so funny! You made me want to check an inflation calculator and in fact £2 back in 2007 is now worth about £3.25 today. You're right to mention this though as 5 packs back in 2003 at £5 each is about £9 today. Wow I'm a nerd! lol. Thanks always for the best and kindest words my dude. @@customcollects to be honest I've been trimming my collection down. As you know, when you first get into diecast you go a bit crazy and it's not til you stop and think ..."what is it I actually like ? What is it I want? Its far too easy just to think you want something because of hype from all the channels. There's constant new releases of endless permutations. You really have to think and just relax and not worry about missing out. I don't think anyone really wants everything ...its just channels making you think you do. What's your favourite casting of all time?

I definitely understand what you're saying. My origins are rooted in opening cars and building a collection with my dad and that whole collecting mentality really stuck with me. For me it's opening the cars and setting them free that's important and best part of the hobby. Every car looks so different outside of the packaging and I like to explore new releases and check out all the details. Displaying loose cars is a lot of fun too. I only don't like the hot wheels that have less than 4 wheels if you know what I mean. But I respect the product design. My favourite casting is BMW M3 E30 '91 and '92. Also hot wheels bmw 323. Old skool classic 👍 Love the 2023 recent M3 RLC car. That one sits at my computer and also the supreme TT version is fun. I wanted to make this RUclips channel for many many years. I'm very happy to work hard on this journey. It's my pleasure 👍 chatting with real and best collectors has always been one of the greatest parts of this hobby too. Car guys rule 🚗💨

Especially play-worn secondhand listings on eBay can still fetch as much as 10 bucks each! $$$ scoring a 5 pack for 25-30 dollars is a huge win in my opinion and by the sounds of your collection. Everyone reading this should be careful not to enjoy Hot Wheels Ferraris too much as they are very addictive with their metal bases. AND very expensive too! Congratz on your amazing finds dude. @BoomSwingerNZ that’s ok. All in all most Diecast is still a children’s toy. Only the premium stuff and premium brands are specifically marketed at adult collectors. Nothing wrong with opening a car worth that much and appreciating it out of its packaging.

I have very little in my collection as they are some of the most expensive pieces to buy now and when hot wheels released Ferrari I also wasn't collecting as hard as I am today. Which Ferrari pieces have you picked up recently? Those hall of fame releases are calling for me 😂

@@customcollects hey. My issue is I’m terrible at researching older sets etc from that period when I took a break so I have no idea what’s available. I try and document what I buy with lists upon lists on my phone. As for the HOF cars, I think I have 2 or 3. Part of the challenge is a lot of the premium stuff comes out in multiple colors. Currently been trying to grab original Speed Machines and have maybe 4 or 5 castings in 2 or 3 colors. Also been going after that Ferrari line with the odd blister cards tapered at the top like a triangle with the top cut off. Do t know what that series is called but I might have 15 or more of those. I try and grab them all the time.

Well I have 16, since I gifted one to my little nephew & two to a good collector friend of mine. His son collects & loves the Ferraris so yeah I surprised him with those & they loved it. That's what it's all about. I hope you're able to build up your Ferrari collection to where you want it & within a steady pace lol no need to stress it of course. The only one I don't have is that 333 SP & 516 (by the way I like the silver one better lol even though red is my favorite color). Opening that 156 was one of the best decisions I've made in 2024. The cars come to life outside of the packaging. They look different and once it's done the packaging always feels like a massive waste of space. Another great Diecast model added to my collection for sure. I will buy some HOF cars in the future 👍 stay well and hope you add some more great pieces into your collection soon.

There was is a empty spot under too ( most likely is the spit where the HL tampo goes ( also besides info slip there is a NOTE SLIP amd it has YELLOW is a BLACK PAINT OVER and as the 2002 not yet had the HL tampo on 5pk Blk the EARLY Yellows also DID not have HL I will be posting IMAGES on Wiki also added it to the listings YOU can see in the edges creases STRONG black undercoat under the YELLOW NOTHING beats a 60's RHD Ferrari one of me favourite HW Ferrari is 1/18 166 MM Barchetta ( RED )

I had my last video recorded and edited in advance as I didn't want to leave a gap in my content. Couldn't agree with you more that the Ferrari brand belongs back in the hot wheels universe. MCG have the license and I'm not interested in many of their products at all. As a diecast collector, no matter how hard you try, the hot wheels "magic" is real and you're 1000% right in saying that when it comes to toy cars. It's just not the same. Without the flame 🔥 any fun hot wheels hunting to report? I actually haven't been checking stores for a couple of weeks now. Need to get out there and see what's about in my local hunting grounds 👍

Highly recommend keeping an eye out for it. Sinister casting - looks superb in silver. I’m actually about to wheel swap one from 1992 later this week when the tools show up from Amazon. I also found a kit at Target I’m gonna attempt to turn into an outdoor diorama. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got coming up!

I'm not paying employees to open unrealistic amounts of sealed cases. I want to report the truth and show my experiences just the way they are. Another important aspect for me is replying to comments. One of the top 3 best part about making these videos is chatting to you guys. Just like I would if I was standing in a shop looking at hot wheels with another collector. I am a chatty and happy person so I really like the social side of social media. This channel is about every single aspect surrounding collecting hot wheels so I won't say that customising won't happen. Personally for me I do see a lot of silver label hot wheels that could use a wheel swap for sure! I am also a fan of watching customising content on RUclips so who know what will happen in the future for this channel. I am also a bit of a purest so changing the original car I will say isn't appealing to me right now but also in the same breath I haven't ever customised a hot wheels and with a channel name like custom collects it could definitely be a subject I should cover! Hey! Thanks for being here. I appreciate the support. Yes. For sure. I will 100% make more content like that and I have 100s of hot wheels Diecast related video ideas that need planning and organising. Remember I've only made 30 videos so far and I'm really keen to make different types of Diecast related content as I know other video creators feel trapped making only one type of video just for the money. For now, I want to have fun cover all aspects of Hot Wheels collecting and test out which videos do well as if I don't make them then I'll never know. But yes. 100% you can expect more diorama display videos in future content and in fact I'm already working on the type of video you would like to see 🙏
