Also, just to be clear. I did want to highlight this change to the Hot Wheels collector display's packaging, as I do think that it affects the overall aesthetic for collectors that want to enjoy this product without opening it.
I definitely like this Porsche display set and as a UK collector they are also surprisingly great value for us brits too! With this said. There is also so much to enjoy about this product and if you are still undecided whether or not you'll be picking this one up, then I hope my video will help you better form a decision going forward... also, go for it! All 4 castings are a WIN!!
Although I will be covering this officially and more personally in my next upload. For everyone who has read down this far. Saw 2 sets this morning at my local Walmart (Temecula) and bought one!

Hahaha! 63 year old guy here glued to the screen - like a kid - wondering who's going to win the race! lol - geez that 935 turned out to be a real dog! 911R was awesome. I'm going to sleep well tonight knowing that the 935 will fit into the 959 transporter though.....whew! Great video!!!!! I like the set overall but that volkswagon looks out of scale - would be interesting to see how far off it really is.
Greetings! Thank you so so much for taking the time to post this comment. AND age doesn’t matter at all when you’re passionate about a hobby. My dad used to buy me Diecast models after he’d finish work and it just stuck with me. I’ll be collecting always I’m sure. Very very pleased you enjoyed the race and most importantly found this video entertaining! Plenty more content like this on my channel and more to come in the future too. A lot of other collectors do mention that team transporters scales feel slightly off compared to the cars and I must say that I have to agree. You have a sharp eye. This set could have had so much potential but hot wheels missed the mark as usual. It almost like they don't want to make a perfect set because it's sets their bar too high. The VW pickup is the highlight of this set and considering how many great porsches hot wheels have, it really shouldn't be that way.
Nice man. Very well said too. I can see exactly where you’re coming from. As a collector of primarily loose models. Once opened these cars and the transport will melt into my collection accordingly and will rarely sit together. Man!… when you said they could have picked so many other Porsches a huge wave of possibilities washed over me lol! You are so right. Wow. I like that you prefer the transporter in this set and I always think that the transporters in these sets go straight on eBay as not everyone loves them. Appreciate the awesome comment mate. We pay about $29 usd in US at Walmart. I only buy the sets with at least 2 of 4 cars I want/need. If a set like Porsche I buy 2 so I can open 1 and display each vehicle and save 1. Other sets I may buy just 1 to save if they are cars I don’t display. If a set like the last J Leno set I avoid all together.

Is that before or after sales tax? I have two of the Porsche displays now and I’ll grab two of that new Greddy display when it comes out next. Looking forward to it for sure. @@customcollects hey that is pre tax. My online hobby dealer had the set at $54 plus tax and shipping.

@@customcollects yep but the online hobby dealer can kinda be considered the secondary market though most new stuff is at retail or close to retail.
I saw it for over $70 on Aliexpress 😭 and it's the only place I saw that ships to Poland. I want that '67 Porsche 911 R, but I'll wait until the casting pops up in cheaper line, or simply until it releases as part of the mainline.
Woah! Yeah please don’t spend 70 dollars for it. Was that including shipping costs to Poland? Maybe you need a UK contact who will post one to you? Andddd… did you watch my Amazon Japan video? Make sure you sign up and see if your basket total is worth it. I would say you need to put 8-10 things in your basket to make it make financial sense… I spend about £100 per order on there to make my cars cheaper than what I would pay in store in the UK. @@customcollectsok, so they started popping up in Poland. Around $40 for thr full set brand new, I'm seriously considering picking the set up. I do like the VW transpoeter, 935, and I absolutely need that 911 in my life, even if I need the casting for a custom 😭
Okay youve thrown a curve ball here...wasnt expecting the all yelliw porsche race. I cant apply my 99% success rate science to this as i cant clearly see the ride hrights. Dam lol. Can you tell i love the race segment 😂 👍

I thi k that plastic cover on the cars could helo to prevent people from stealing the whole set. I hope employees pay attention to that or else qe will see hotwheels mainlines in exchange for the premiums

Really digging that Porsche 917 LH! I've also purchased many a premium set like this just for one car.😁 Props for opening it up -- my Jay Leno's Garage set with the Ford GT and Mustang GT 350R is still mint. Maybe it's time to free them? You've definitely inspired me to free a lot of my others!
Hey man. Thanks for leaving this awesome comment. How long have you been collecting for? I started collecting with my dad since I was a child and opening cars and building an epic display with them just stuck with me. I also really enjoy displays / dioramas and other creative ways that you can display your loose models and once you start opening them it’s a lot of fun moving stuff around and having your collection look a certain way that is unique to you. The other side of the coin is that this hobby gets super expensive and you then also like the card art or it’s a particular limited edition RLC car and you want to keep it carded. I definitely open at least 85% of what I buy without thinking twice. It’s the difference between being a collector of Diecast or an investor. Don’t worry about its value. Enjoy being a car guy who enjoys car models today 🙌 I just wish Hot Wheels were a bit cheaper here in the UK so I could buy more. Ultimately. You do whatever you want with the things that you buy with your hard earned money bro. There’s no one right way to collect Diecast. These collector display sets are great to open and I like their variety as I enjoy mixing things up like you saw in the video and finding other cars in my collection that look cool on top of the transporter etc. it’s a lot of fun. @@customcollects I've been collecting for about 5 or so years now! Initially only scooped up Mustangs, now I'm crazy for Porsche castings as well. Your dad sounds like one cool cat. I've been keeping the STH/TH/Chase/RLC ones carded, but it's getting tougher to do so with all the awesome dioramas out there to display them with - especially that one lit up by LED you recently posted! I managed to snag an Advan Boulevard van, so I'm considering popping open the Skyline I got via RLC this year so I can pair them up.

I actually feel very lucky that I have never really considered keeping anything locked up in its packaging and if I ever do it’s for doubles or only something rare / very expensive. But even some expensive stuff I open. Or I’m just saving it to open another time. Definitely agree that the final step is creating your own display with the cars you own and making your collection special. That’s what this hobby is all about. I wanna see what the size difference are. I really like that green one from Boulevard. Hot wheels do some fun branded T1 buses that I still need to add to my collection for sure. I did think about the corgi 935 but I decided it was too close to the one in the display and didn’t want to bore everyone in the video so just stuck to one comparison. And no mate sadly I’m not sure how many old skool Boulevard cars I have but also I know that I didn’t pick up the yellow 993 gt2. It’s become one do those casting that everyone wishes they bought 5 of now in hindsight, right? Ha! Super happy you enjoyed the races mate. Shame about the pickup. I even tried to balance it out but that just made it heavier. What was the last few cars that you added into your collection recently mate? I have a pre order down for Slide Street 2 and I’m on the hunt online for that silver label Porsche set as it was never sold here in the UK. Big shame! Wish you a really great day 🚗💨

They are $28 plus tax in Walmart stores. They are actually $27.97 plus tax. I normally buy not every single one though.

@@customcollects tax at checkout actually. Also there's a silly bag fee too. Unless you bring your own bag/bags. I'd definitely get this diorama display when it hits stores in the USA for me.
Same here. We have to pay about 10p / 12 cents for a bag in stores. What percentage is the tax in walmarts? 6%? Sorry to ask some many questions but as you can tell from my videos I love to know the prices of hot wheels from around the world. It’s super interesting to me. Doesn't matter how much you pay, you're still paying too much for that one car in the set that you want. And who needs another random Team Transport truck.

I personally don't buy these for 2 reasons:
1. They're quite expensive and don't catch my attention
2. They don't appear in Spain lol, only can get them through resellers
How much for one in euros mate? Have you tried purchasing anything from Amazon Japan yet? Don’t forget to check out my video. If you pick up 8-10 pieces it’s very good value. @@customcollects I have no idea about store price, some people sell them for 25€, others for nearly 40€...
And yes, I saw the Amazon Japan thing. As I always say, I don't have a good source of money so I can't get the good stuff from Japan since it'd need to be a big buy for them to be profitable.
