I wonder if the prior crash and engine and flight control damage had a factor in this crash? I think it might be possible. Plus the flight they say may have been carrying munitions. And there wasn't really any issues on the flight in.

Plus a terrorist organisation in Egypt took credit and the terrorist investigation branches foreign and domestic also confirmed that it's highly likely they did take this plane down, and that terrorist organisation was who that unit deployed to fight.

It wasn't ice that took that plane down, there was no sign of ice before or after or with other planes that same day. Witnesses saw it on fire and a possible explosion. The flight engineer and ground crew did a thorough check and didn't notice signs of icing. Allegheny County PA coroner Cyril Wecht investigated this and said it was not icing that took this down, from my home area of PA. Also, the weather bureau did not say that weather icing conditions were that severe to effect the plane that much if at all.

So far, no official reasons were published. Everything points out to ice in the wings. Yesterday, another ART-72 had electrical problems and was diverted to Minas Gerais State. Its final destination was São Paulo, Guarulhos. Also, it did fall in the backyard of a house.

There's no doubt in my mind that this WAS a fatal depressurization due to what I heard and how it resembled Payne Stewart's plane crash. As for what caused it, I still have no idea yet.

My grandparents' property was where the wing clipped the tree. I was scared every time we visited them because someone told me about the crash when I was a little kid, and every time a plane passed, my heart sunk. I still have dreams of planes crashing as an adult. My mom lived on the other side of the airport, but one of my sisters was near the crash when it happened, at a friend's.

My mother always talked about this and the other Scandinavian one that crashed nearby 3 days earlier. I was 2 when my mother and twin brother all flew to central Mexico earlier that year around December or January. My dad said he saw a lot of ambulances and fire engines that night as he was traveling along a highway or freeway to LAX to pick us up. He later heard about sharks eating the bodies and thought we were on that flight. It was very frightening for him and others because of the previous plane crash that also occurred in Santa Monica Bay. 30 survived that one but all perished in this one.

Well, now we know why…
