A lovely beautiful vintage haul Christine, those strawberry hexies are so sweet, you could even use them like you would a Suffolk puff. The sets of 3 cloths are sometimes called a duchess set here - is that when you were thinking of? Travers looks like he was enjoying himself, he looks such a sweet dog 🐾

Hi Christine, I'm so sorry it's been 3 weeks since I've been in contact! Our city took a direct hit from Hurricane Helene and it was the worst storm in our city's history and caused the most catastrophic damage in our history. Thankfully I, my family and friends were all spared. Not everyone was as fortunate and our hearts go out to those families. Because we live out in the country in the woods, we had a lot of trees down which caused us to lose power. It was down for 2 weeks. Because we weren't expecting it, we were caught off guard and unprepared. I was able to take a few bags of food over to my parents house as they were running a large generator which allowed them to keep the refrigerator running but I still lost a refrigerator full of stuff and some freezer food. The worst part has been having to clean it all out after 2 weeks! Pewie it has not been fun or quick. I'm just now finding time to sit down and watch a video or two and just wanted to check in. I love, love, love all your thrifty Thurs finds! They're all beautiful! And the day at the beach looked like a very lovely day! Was that a picture of coral I saw? If so, where'd you find it? I wish my Bayley liked the water like Travers does! They have so many other traits in common but that's definitely not one! I can't believe some of the places I find her hair, I think it just floats around in the air. Bayley and I send puppy hugs and kisses to Travers and air hugs to you and Alex and pray that you're all doing well! TFS 😊

Wow! You hit the jackpot! What a lovely assortment of handmade and vintage goodies. I've been collecting haberdashery items for some time with hopes to make that type of journal. I've sewn and embroidered for many years. I'd better get busy! I'd love to know the source of some of Carol's items that appear to be digital. Is she in the U.S. or Australia?

Thank you Christine for your video and sharing this amazing exchange of beautiful goodies. It is so lovely in this world we live in at the moment to see the kindness and thoughtfulness of this community. I had an on line chat the other day with some of my colleagues from work that I had not seen since I retired. They could not believe I was still stitching (never mind,knitting painting dyeing thread and fabric etc) I then of course was talking about you,Annie and all the different people we chat to on line. I would say they were stunned. I think they saw me sitting alone and trying to fill my days. No I do not have enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to is the reply and I am never alone, there is always one of you lovely ladies to keep me company.

What a beautiful bundle! I love those richly coloured fabrics, and the hexies are gorgeous. People are so generous! A vintage find video would be really interesting. It’s always fun to see a peek into your stash (as your happy mail bundle shows!)

Dang it! I missed the chat again! That lace edging on that kerchief is just glorious. I’ve started wrapping scraps of fabric around my hoops for better grip - that might be a good idea to protect the lace too? I was struggling with bullion knots last week - so I’m glad you’ve demonstrated them again. Thanks for the mention though! Yes, I have started my crazy quilted bag - it’s a good opportunity to challenge myself with different embroidery stitches that I haven’t yet practiced. I’m loving the results so far and I’m really excited to share more next week! I’m also starting some christmas/seasonal patches that will be turned into cards soon. You’re so right, these little boosts from more practiced RUclipsrs definitely helps - it’s very much appreciated! ❤ I love how that couched thread looks on the frame. It looks very opulent, especially with the richness of the inktense dyed threads. They look so good! It’s such a beautifully done design - you’re so good.
