You know, all the techniques you shared with us were amazing - all of them, but what I keep coming back for is your talking through your stitching, I am learning how to stitch, make stitching decisions and freedom to create - priceless. Thanks
Hi Jane - thanks so much for you comment which makes me really happy to hear as I aim to make stitching adventures approachable for everyone so everyone can discover the pleasure of this art form. Happy stitching. 🤗Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you - the bluebirds are so beautiful and I’m happy to be stitching these for myself and for friends 💙🧵🪡 I hope you’re having a lovely week. Cheers, Christine 🤗
Thanks,Christine for experimenting with us! Love that green on all type of fabrics and especially on the crochet doily. The flowers and the little bird are really sweet and look wonderful fotocopied too. So many creative ideas❤
It's amazing where our mind takes us. Your journey led us from experimenting with paint on fabric, then the copying of a transfer onto it, resulting in a lovely finished piece of stitching. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Christine for your video and sharing this technique with us today. It is interesting that the 3 hankies seemed to accept the paint differently and yet they were meant to be the same fabric. It is good to know that the fabric is still easy to stitch through,in my head I saw acrylic paint and imagined that it would be a struggle. I also did not expect the inktense to stay within the lines so to speak. My goodness the possibilities are endless here. Personal cards lovely idea.
Christine, this came out really well. I kept hoping you would use some of the gold paint to spatter onto one piece as highlights, and maybe a little gold onto that lace! So many ideas. So fun! Acrylic paint is what artists paint on their canvases before painting their scenes, so I think that is why the Inktense stayed where you put it. 😊 Love the photocopies to make cards from!
The colour looks lovely Christine . Your blue bird / flowers look great . I love playing with different things to see how they turn out . Not had much time lately to do any playing but hopefully after Christmas it’s chill out and do some different crafting apart from sewing and card making , not saying I don’t enjoy doing that but … TFS xxxx
Loved this video xx TFS XX I'm glad I didn't throw an old cotton sheet away the other day, I gave it to hubby for a drop sheet..... ( hoping it would inspire him to do some much-needed painting in the house ... HE DETESTS PAINTING 😂🤣😂🤣) .... so I am going to retrieve it from his shed & do my own painting ( on it ) 😁😁😁 I love the piece you stitched at Fleurs class xx love & hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I love those aquatic colours from the acrylic paint. They suit your inspired-by-nature style perfectly. The flowers look so rich. Using tiny seed beads instead of the French knots could be an interesting possibility, lie you suggested! Do you think the paint technique would work with two contrasting colours?
Hi Christine, I have found that some paints are light sensitive, meaning any area facing the light will be darker than the side that is facing down. For colour on both sides I hang my coloured pieces up to dry.
That is a really interesting insight Diane and I definitely will experiment more. It’s interesting Fleur warned the colours would run off if we hung them up. So many experiments to be done! Hope you’re having a wonderful creative weekend. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you for sharing some of the things you learn at fluers workshops as many of us can't afford to attend so it's lovely to learn new stuff. That's handy to know re the Inktense don't bleed. L must ask where did you get that amazing floofy brush that you used when you painted the fabric.
Thank you Lesley - you’ll laugh when I tell you the brush I was using is meant to be for mineral makeup and I got it as a gift with purchase about ten years ago (or more) from a company called Everyday Minerals. I think they went from being small and great quality to a bigger corporation with drop in quality so I haven’t purchased from them in a while. But suffice to say I repurpose whatever I can rather than buying new 😆
@@createandcraftwithchristine wow who'd have thought ay, well in my opinion you've scored a great brush. I repurpose heaps too, well I accumulate with the intentions of repurposing 🤣

How cool did that turn out printing on the fabric. It looks so real.
I love the realistic look of it too! 😊
Love the green interesting I've used acrylic and it's stiff so you answered that lots more water!,,,
Yes, definitely lots of water and a more diluted paint for a softer finish 🤗 Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
👍🧡💐
Thanks Anita - hope you’re having a lovely week. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Hola 👋, me gusta lo que haces por qué cambia mucho el color, pero yo también le salpico con una brocha de otros colores 🌈 quedan muy bonitos también 😊
Thanks so much 🤗 Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡

Do you think the paint technique would work with two contrasting colours?
If you used two colours with wet acrylic wash I think they would mix but definitely a good experiment for the future. Cheers, Christine
