The Sudbury to Timmins Adventure Route, Ep2.
Over 700km of Northern Ontario overlanding with a group of 8 trucks.
On this episode, we end up going down two more rigs as we past the half-way point of the expedition.
Nonetheless, we soldier on and eventually find the most idealic of Canadian camp sites to enjoy.
But the pesky beavers haven't made it easy! Nor have the Sasquatches!

    Hello from Calgary!! The 11:50 time stamp was the sweetest…super cute how she lets you lead her up and down. Love the option of being close to the stars w your dog…best. Beautiful video. Question, have you added an inflatable air mattress to your foothills? How do you find it? Any tips you have learned since your last video? Any additions or adds on you have obtained, like the insulated cover-ever needed it? Have you ever slept with the outside cover off your tent so you have windows for days? Love it all. Keep it up :)

    My main advantage of solo off road driving-exploring-camping, is freedom. Freedom of scheduling and navigating. Lake Matagami, on QC side? Close to the entrance of James Bay? Please try to get google translate for Lexi lol

    Do you have any issues with tire balance after rotating? If so how do you determine where to put the clip on balance weights? In additon does the TPMS automatically pick up for the 5th tire? Thank you.

      @@jasonfanphotography the TPMS will in fact pick up the new wheel location after some miles. If you're tire is out of balance, you need a tire shop rebalance it on a balance machine. You can just guess at the location. With that said, the Goodyear sasquatch tires can have pretty poor QC. I had to have one (brand new) one replace for wub-wub noise while driving. It wouldn't balance.

      @@cparker777 yupper, she LOVES getting carried up onto the tent! Have a look thru my short vids. I have one of her getting carried out 👍🏻 Jackson, my old Catahoula, was too big and heavy to go up into the tent. He slept in the Bronco alone 😔

      @@cparker777 thank you for the comment! Did you also see my episode on flipping the Foothill cover around? Game changer! After awhile, you'll be able it all setup in under 10 minutes. I usually keep the inside side of the fly buttoned down and that saves setting the fly poles up all the way around. (Which is probably the most time consuming part of the setup.) Make sure the hinge corners of the tent fabric are sealed well or you'll get mosquito's! There is an inner 'flap' and Velcro there. My sister spent many years in Calgary. Awesome town! You're so lucky to live in such a beautiful province like Alberta!

    TY for the window removal demo! Thought they looked like just the glass itself could come out. Alas, removing the inset roof panel is EDIT: it *can* be done. Bit of jiggling and it popped right out when I went back to try it... 😑🙄

      @@TLOverlander I'd already spent time scrubbing tree sap off of Baby Blue... 🤦🏻‍♀️ (fancy topcoat already paying for itself) I was worried about scraping the paint with the tight fit of the panel under the roof rack, but the factory one is mostly plastic so wasn't as rough as it could have been.

    I would like to poit out that, while turning the cover around is a great hack and certainly makes life easier, it is worth noting that the cover is reinforced where it covers the ladder mounting brackets. If you turn the cover around, you lose this extra protection and risk damaging the cover where the brackets are. Otherwise, I can certainly see how this makes it a lot easier to replace the cover and save climbing on top of the vehicle like I do.

      Good to know! If that’s the case, then maybe I’ll do the same! I only picked mine up this morning. Love the design, it’s just a lot more fiddly to put up and take down than my old RTT. If this works fine, then that will defo save time and effort.
