Appreciate the video, finished installing the RC high mount on my 24 Heritage. Followed your suggestion regarding additional reinforcement brackets. I did it with minor modifications. Enlarged the outer holes on the frame to utilize a 1/2 inch mounting bolt, washers for spacers to get a more flush mount on the frame and replaced the 6 bolts that mount the bumper with longer ones-all Grade 8 hardware. Really please with the outcome.
I installed the winch mount kit on mine 21 2 years ago. It works well, your right about the rotational downward force when stuck real bad, I haven't torn it off yet. I was to wondering about the frame brackets too. The front end will sag out about an inch after about a year so had to install a leveling kit to bring it back up. All said I'm very happy with it.
Enjoyed the video as usual. Had some trouble with the audio due to an inexplicable age related increase in ear wax production! Someone should do a video about that! Now I have to go try and figure out how to install these dadburn Broaddict mud flaps :) (de-bedazzled of course! I'll try to cuss in Canadian during the install to show my cultural acumen)
@@TLOverlander I did the Ozark Overlanding Adventure trail the week before last (purposely left the mud flaps off to avoid damage - trip was GREAT btw) and got home to seemingly be a month behind at work so I will let you know after this weekend as I finally get around to attempting the install.
I am not sure why RC states many of their winches cannot be installed on the capable bumpers. I installed their hidden winch on a capable bumper a few weeks ago without any issues. Seems like they would have a broader market if they adapted their marketing to match what vehicle/bumper the winch actually fits.

Nice! I've since removed the included spacers that came with the Rough Country mount and spaced out the control box away from the grill. Tight 🤘🏻
Mt Forest! High, Healthy, Happy. My old neck of the woods.
Wicked winch Eric, you and Lee did a great job, see you soon my friend
Thanks Dino.... Looking forward to the weekend!! 🤘🏻

I've been considering a leveling lift as well. Thanks for the info!

STILL trying to work out the missing hardware with them. Is your kit complete?

Right?! Did you have to make some mods for the hidden winch to work?
@@TLOverlander No mods were needed in addition to the directions.
That’s amazing. Even people in Canada are rooting for Trump. Lol
