Do NOT move to switzerland BEFORE you have your medical degree from your country. Its just too expensive and doesnt really help. If you do that, you will be studying AND working for money for the first 6 years.

Man dermatology is like the crem de la crem of medicine. Extremely rare emergencies ( anaphylactic reactions only maybe? i dont think dermatologists even take care of anaphylactic shock), easy life, cosmetic stuff to make a lot of money from people with age insecurities (sorry for stating it that way ) and in general the pros of being a doctor without the cons. It is a given that it is very very competitive and your girlfriend would have a hard time. I mean, ok maybe it was a little too much given that she has schweizer experience and stuff but the way you put it its like in every specialization it is like that which i personaly think it is not.

I have a swiss nationality and i want to do my residency in Switzerland but i ll have to do the indirect way to get my diploma recognized and that includes me working 3 years in an eu country as a doctor and then moove to swiss and start my residency all over again . I was wondering if its worth it and if i choose to finish my residency in germany and then go to swiss is that a beter idea and will my specialty that i earned in germany be recognized in Switzerland
