Hi, thanks for the review. Does the head have a thread on the bottom so I can fix the head on a cstand for example? Thx
cool! Nice plants also :D
Nice plants indeed 😉🙏
Saweet!very intresting. Thank You
What a great review. It's almost been two weeks... have you heard any updates from Saramonic regarding to accepting timecode?
thanks man! im thinking to get a g9 😅
Hi do you now how to celebrate a lens whit no stops?? Can I just stop the lens whit my finger. On the DJI focus pro
The intended use of the Focus pro with focus motor is for lenses with hard stops. You can’t calibrate a lens without. However, what I do is set A and B points on the grip to manually set the stops
I think I like it.
🙂
Any idea of the model # of the Ultra kit without the external microphones?
I contacted Saramonic about your question. I’ll let you know as soon as I have an answer
Unfortunately the kit without lavs is not going to be in stock until January on Amazon US. If you follow the link in the description to Saramonic's website and scroll down, you should find a link to the kit without lavs.
The batteries aren't interchangeable and using a gimbal battery with the focus will destroy it, if you wanted to add a disclaimer.
Interesting. How did you find out?
The Saramonic is better in mostly everything except a killer feature that DJI Mic 2 has: Mi Shoe 24-bit digital audio integration into Sony cameras. Saramonic wireless mics were my first back in 2018. These look really elegant and the water resistance feature is insanely important to me during our monsoon season with daily drizzling/light raining.
Great point about the DJI mics. Hadn’t thought of that. Yeah, the water resistance is one of biggest its selling point imo.
@@RedFrameTech If you can reach them out, please give them this feedback if it's possible to add. I really like Saramonic products.
its not available to purchase anywhere
If it’s not available on Amazon yet, check out my link to Saramonic’s website.
what diameter are the aluminium rods the legs are made of?
They’re 14mm
@@RedFrameTech thanks, man! I am trying to build a set of tripod legs myself and I was concerned that 16mm (2mm thick) was too fragile. I will use a 3d printer and hopefully get the legs done with around 80 $/eur..
@@ovi-diyCool! 🙂
The high spl weather resistant seems very tempting.start stop internal recording when cameras record start and stop is what im really waiting for🤪🔥🫶Thank You
I constantly work in dusty fields, gardens, and factories. I almost bought rode wireless pro with the November discounts. I'm glad I saw your video. I have hollyland lark max duo 2. I will definitely buy this. Sometimes 32 bit is needed. Thanks for video. im a lumix user. Gh6 and s5ii no overheat 45 celsius fully sunlight 4k60k bessttt
Ultra does sound like a great option for what you’re doing. Thanks so much for watching!
Time code is such a complicated thing! Why are there always problems with it? It's probably not for nothing that when filming movies, a clapperboard is still used for synchronization between takes!
It's kinda complicated for sure. But I've never had any problems with my dedicated timecode devices. I think the main problem lies in cramming a lot of functionality into an affordable device. It'll get there eventually I'm sure
Great review, though no Jam sync is a dealbreaker for me (with a bunch of TC1 / PR2).
Thanks! I'm hoping they can add the ability to jam sync both ways with firmware 🤞
@@RedFrameTechI emailed them about accepting external timecode. Yesterday they replied that they have no plans to add it.
I would encourage you to test it with other far more high end lavalier microphones like the Sennheiser MK2, Countryman B3 (since it has some solid waterproofing), and Sanken Cos11, these are more realistic for those using these for markets outside of RUclips. These manufacturers need to get it into their heads as well that these don’t actually have a timecode feature if they cannot be jammed externally. It being the master only IS NOT TIMECODE.
Sure thing! I own the Sennheisers myself and obviously prefer them. But they’re not in the same price range. To a point agree with you on the timecode issue. However, it is still timecode. It’s just going to have to be the master. Not ideal and I’d like to see that change, but considering the price I think it’s a reasonable trade-off
‼️I was having some issues with my pre-production unit, but Saramonic assured me those issues are fixed with the final production units. They’ll be sending me one so that I can confirm it on the channel.
Iam using a dummy blk22 with 9 volt pd, noproblems is 9 volts too much
If it’s a dummy with USB C there should be a little box in the cable. This is the voltage regulator and should take of supplying the correct voltage. Sometimes the regulator sits within the dummy itself. It depends on which one you have
FYI not sure what you're editing in but Resolve has a 'smooth cut' transition which would avoid the little jump cuts you have, I'm sure other NLE's have something similar
Thanks for your input. Sometimes I have more time to hide jump cuts than other times. But the ‘smooth cut’ transition in Resolve only works like 5% of the time in my experience.
hi just a quick one its the dji liadr working whit dji rs3? just need for tracking no focus motor need
As far as I know it is indeed compatible with rs3
@RedFrameTech thanks for replying I will try out. I good now the raveneye but not happy with tracking. Hopefully the lidar it's better for tracking humans.
Great video! May i ask if there are some further camera control features trough the grip? I am.planning to pair the system to my BGH1, and controlling the iso and the recording start by the grip itself would be amazing.
As it stands right now, there’s no iso control. However, you can start and stop recording via the grip. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi! Thanks for the review of this Sirui SH15. At arnd 5:46 of your video, I noticed that you screwed or attached something on the other side of the fluid head. Looks like a cold shoe adapter. May I know what do you call that one? Thank you.
It's a SmallRig friction arm (screwed onto the fluid head) with a cold shoe adapter. Thanks so much for watching!
Did someone test with a ipad or ipad mini ?
FieldMonitor works fine on iPads; both iPhones and iPads are tested during development.
I've just rebought the G9 after buying a GH6. Hoping to use these together to shoot weddings. The G9 is such a fine camera.
Awesome! Indeed it is. I'm still using mine regularly
@@RedFrameTech I won’t sell it again that’s for sure! I think the 35-100 will be glued to it when it arrives.
I currently have an Azden model SMX 30. My GH5s will power this mic when it is set in the auto setting on the microphone itself. No matter what option I choose in camera on the GH6 or GH7, the Azden model mic will not come on via auto mode, and instead I have to set it into battery mode. Any idea on why?
That's a strange problem to have. I don't really know what that can be, but my guess would be that the GH6/7 put out a slightly different voltage than the GH5s.
Love the video. Thanks. I’m new to film. Is there a way for me to control my r5 settings on the monitor while shooting? Or do I have to unplug to playback or adjust settings?
There are a few monitors that allow camera control. PortKeys have one. But make sure you check compatibility with your camera
Have you tried any of their other lights from newer ? Looking for something 100-200w - tried the COLBOR cl100x but it won't go full power on silent fan mode unlike the cl60 which we have or any other recommendations - want it to be quiet like the colbor.
I have seen most of their line-up at IBC2024 and their more recent light are pretty decent. It was hard to judge fan noise there though, because it was a noise environment to begin with 😅
Air jet cooling
Yes I’m so annoyed by the boot up Time of my Ninja V…
Really interesting review, especially as I'm looking to get lighting for a studio environment. May I ask how this light works inside your studio setting as a key-light with the lantern and/or skirt? And how far away you'd have it from you when filming please?
You're building a studio? Cool! Btw, it was nice to see a face with the voice (watched your latest video) 🙂 Using the light as a key-light works well with the lantern. The skirt keeps the light from spilling into the room. One thing to note is that I now have quite a bit of space in my new studio and so it's not an issue to have some amount spill. For a smaller space it might be better to use a parabolic soft box with a grid, to have the light be more directional. As for the distance: rule of thumb is that the bigger the light source is and shorter the distance to it, the softer the light will be. It all depends on the look you want to achieve with the mix of focal length, distance from the lens/framing, aperture and softness of the light. The CB200C is powerful enough to basically do anything you'd want in a studio environment, but depending on the amount of space 80 or 100watts could definitely suffice.
@@RedFrameTech I can't help being so handsome, can I? 🤣🤣🤣😇 As for the studio, it's not for me, it's for a friend. Honest 🤣 He's got a modest amount of subs on his main channel, which is an out and about vlogging channel, however he has a second channel with only 8k subs which is perfect for a studio environment to present from. I'm trying to do a bit of research to get lighting to make it look more professional. No point having an expensive camera to film if the lighting is rubbish creating so much noise that it looks like a crappy webcam. BTW I can only dream of hitting 8k. 🤣. I can easily see you hitting 20k within 12 months. Traction is building and you are pumping out solid reviews.
I think the 200w and 100w share the same housing but u could be wrong. I think this light had gotta be quieter than the Zhyuine
It’s quieter for sure. Fan noise is one of the main issues I have with the more compact lights.
Man my most powerful RGB tops out at 120w so that’s pretty crazy! I love these budget manufacturers shooting their shot at the big boys!
Yeah, it’s extremely powerful. And for the price, it’s incredible. I was at Neewer’s booth at IBC and they’re definitely starting to come out with some good stuff!
Just found your channel and subscribed. You are doing a good job! And I appreciate the outdoor testing in this one.
Thanks for the sub! I’m glad you like the video 🙂
There must be a GH6 user out there who has purchased the 'ARRI upgrade' who can answer our questions!
I recently talked to someone who did purchase the ARRI upgrade and told me he had returned it almost immediately 😅. Didn’t install it. He initially got it because of the lower ISO with DR boost on (1250), but changed his mind because it’s not that big a difference. I tend to feel the same about it. I’d still love to try it out, but also still can’t justify purchasing it just to try it out..
@@RedFrameTech that's very interesting. I wonder of that would be same for the GH7 as well - by the way have you picked one up yet!? Might get one next week.
I am actually an ARRI AMIRA owner operator, but I get so excited about using the GH6 (hopefully 7 soon) for some reason - love the chunky small body, wish the VF was a little bigger or there was a good alternative to it other than a monitor.
@@thenintendohub3873 An Amira owner? wow, that's serious business! I guess it would make sense for you the get the upgrade just for the arri post workflow/matching. I haven't picked up a GH7 yet. I'm still debating getting another GH6 for cheap OR getting a GH7 for the PDAF and 32bit float capability. What would get the GH7 for specifically?
@@RedFrameTech I love my Amira and have some lovely lenses for it, but you know using the GH6 is a lot of fun for me, I really like the body and the 'feel' of holding it, and of course it's like a toy with the weight difference. I think one thing you can't cut corners with though is using a good tripod with the camera, so the moves are buttery smooth and not juttery that can happen with cheap tripods. So I am now using my Miller tripod with the same legs as the arri set up, but using a smaller head. One thing I'd love to adjust on the GH6 is the waveform monitor on it, so it just shows 0 to 100 - at the moment it shows about -10 to +130 IRSE - and that makes it harder to set exposure quickly - I wish the top line of the display was 100 irse so you knew exactly where you exposure lay. Even if you peak at 80 IRSE on the current display, there are still about 5 lines above this - wish there were just the 2. Perhaps the GH& displays it a little differently. Hope this makes sense as hard to explain. I think I could sell my GH6 and the switch to GH7 wouldn't be too bad as I have all the accessories. Also, if I am asked to pop out to an event, dinner function etc to capture some shots, to be able to bring the GH6/7 with me and a fast lens is so so much easier than taking the whole ARRI rig. One thing I do find though, is that when people see you using it, they assume your are taking photos so freeze and set a pose! With the ARRI they know you are capturing footage and carry on with what they are doing. The answer though is probably having a nice and fast lens around 85mm so you can stay 20 feet away and get what you need. I'd also love it if there was another view finder option you could use on the camera - I can manage with the one there is, and dont want to have to cart a monitor around on it - but even if it as 25% better that would help. Keep us the great work and sorry for the long answer!
interesting video. I have been looking hard to find some footage of a GH6 after purchasing the ARRI Log option, but can't find a thing. I wonder how different the GH7 and GH6 would look side by side with recording with it? I'd love to know! cheers
Me too! If I do get the opportunity to test that out, it’ll be up on the channel for sure!
@@RedFrameTech I am sorting of hoping there would be a noticeable difference. Real shame the same ARRI upgrade wouldn't work on both cameras if you had them both, think it only works as a one time upgrade.
Thanks for this, very clear, I understood it first pass. As a newbie moving from a DSLR this was a great introduction in how to use wave forms.
Happy to hear it was helpful!
HI Brother, can Black Magic Assist be capable of capturing 16-bit raw from SOny fx3 (without compressing to 12-bit) & Sony a7s3 in B raw? Please advise
This from Black Magic’s forum: The image data is stored in BRAW as 12bit log. Resolve can decode that to 16 bit linear. For what it's worth, ARRIRAW is also 12bit log
Does it work on a action camera like DJI Osmo Action 4?
As long as the camera has a 3.5mm mic input, it works
Huge thanks to Daria and to you mate, this is incredibly helpful.
Pure gold!!! Thanks! Great content and delivery! 👌👌👌

How does it work with Sigma AF L-mount lenses? Still no need for focus motor? Thanks
I’m not sure, but I assume it would work since Panasonic says those lenses can be considered native
Yes, it would be nice to see your comparison video of the monitors, please. Thanks for this one!
Coming soon 😉
@@RedFrameTech Take your time 🥰
Nice review mate! Well done. :)
Thanks man!
Must say this monitor is quite appealing. Price to brightness/features ratio is amazing. How was the color accuracy on F700? and does it support 10bit signal? I would be very interested to see the comparison between many different monitors you have 😊 Especially interested about the color accuracy, build quality and possible bugs/funtional problems but also perks against other similarly priced monitors 😃 But I will watch the video no matter the content and the level of deep diving 👍 Ps. I really like your content and your calming voice. Thanks for all the videos you have made and upcoming ones as well 😊
It honestly has become one of my favorite monitors. Colour accuracy looks pretty good to me, but I have no way of measuring it. It does support a 10 bit signal. Whether it’s an actual true 10bit monitor, I doubt it. There are very few that are true 10bit on the market anyway. A comparison video will come for sure! Perhaps I can manage to figure out a way to accurately compare colour accuracy for the comparison. I’ll do my best ;) Thanks so much for watching!
NEEWER really does it cool but EL Zone is the most important thing in a monitor, even more important than brightness. Well, in general, 7 inches is too much, the display is too big. And the main thing is that the screen is matte and not glossy. I know the only matte monitor and that's only because it has a VA matrix, that's why it is necessary to calibrate it, it's osee t5+
I agree with you on most things. However, I really like the bigger screen. Sure, a matte screen would be preferable, but I think for the price point of the F700 it's a fair compromise
The vol and brightness adjustment is cool aswell as powe usbc! I would love to have a monitor w airglu record control. Atomos😂Great video🫶🔥🫡.Thank You
Asking the real quesitons! Is NEEWER always BETTER?
Haha! Definitely not, but this monitor is honestly pretty nice
