‼️I was having some issues with my pre-production unit, but Saramonic assured me those issues are fixed with the final production units. They’ll be sending me one so that I can confirm it on the channel.
I constantly work in dusty fields, gardens, and factories. I almost bought rode wireless pro with the November discounts. I'm glad I saw your video. I have hollyland lark max duo 2. I will definitely buy this. Sometimes 32 bit is needed. Thanks for video. im a lumix user. Gh6 and s5ii no overheat 45 celsius fully sunlight 4k60k bessttt
The Saramonic is better in mostly everything except a killer feature that DJI Mic 2 has: Mi Shoe 24-bit digital audio integration into Sony cameras. Saramonic wireless mics were my first back in 2018. These look really elegant and the water resistance feature is insanely important to me during our monsoon season with daily drizzling/light raining.
I would encourage you to test it with other far more high end lavalier microphones like the Sennheiser MK2, Countryman B3 (since it has some solid waterproofing), and Sanken Cos11, these are more realistic for those using these for markets outside of RUclips. These manufacturers need to get it into their heads as well that these don’t actually have a timecode feature if they cannot be jammed externally. It being the master only IS NOT TIMECODE.
Sure thing! I own the Sennheisers myself and obviously prefer them. But they’re not in the same price range. To a point agree with you on the timecode issue. However, it is still timecode. It’s just going to have to be the master. Not ideal and I’d like to see that change, but considering the price I think it’s a reasonable trade-off
Time code is such a complicated thing! Why are there always problems with it? It's probably not for nothing that when filming movies, a clapperboard is still used for synchronization between takes!
It's kinda complicated for sure. But I've never had any problems with my dedicated timecode devices. I think the main problem lies in cramming a lot of functionality into an affordable device. It'll get there eventually I'm sure
Unfortunately the kit without lavs is not going to be in stock until January on Amazon US. If you follow the link in the description to Saramonic's website and scroll down, you should find a link to the kit without lavs.

Ultra does sound like a great option for what you’re doing. Thanks so much for watching!

Great point about the DJI mics. Hadn’t thought of that.
Yeah, the water resistance is one of biggest its selling point imo.
@@RedFrameTech If you can reach them out, please give them this feedback if it's possible to add. I really like Saramonic products.

Great review, though no Jam sync is a dealbreaker for me (with a bunch of TC1 / PR2).
Thanks! I'm hoping they can add the ability to jam sync both ways with firmware 🤞
@@RedFrameTechI emailed them about accepting external timecode. Yesterday they replied that they have no plans to add it.
its not available to purchase anywhere
If it’s not available on Amazon yet, check out my link to Saramonic’s website.

Any idea of the model # of the Ultra kit without the external microphones?
I contacted Saramonic about your question. I’ll let you know as soon as I have an answer
