Few weeks until the best and worst of cartoons 2024

My favorite animated sequels of the 2020s so far are Puss In Boots The Last Wish, Sing 2, Inside Out 2, Trolls 3 Band Together, Despicable Me 4, Spider-Verse 2, Minions The Rise Of Gru, Trolls 2 World Tour and Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

These movies feel like they’re ai generated, but sadly a real human being made something as lifeless as a skydance film.

Another shitty review about the moana sequel. Yet record numbers of people around the world are flocking to see moana 2. Just goes to show you shithead wankers know nothing about movies.

By the end of the movie, I didn't realize that they were kinda leaning into the theme of having to deal with divorced parents. It just left me wanting some depth to the characters. I mean the writing didn't was certainly underdeveloped.

Since Moana 2 is not good, shall we now apologize to “HITPIG”?

Underrated Channel, this is channel just amazing 😀

This film reminded me of Raya and The Last Dragon: solid film on its own, but just needed a little bit of something extra to be truly great. If Disney films were food, Moana 2 needs an extra bit of spice to bring out its true flavour that makes it great.

The worst part if it was that they didn’t even bring back Tamatoa.

Ultraman Rising could have been pared down, but I enjoyed the film for what it is.

The film is alright, I’m kinda glad that I didn’t get too excited for the sequel because it’s no big surprise that it was going to be a tv show. And with Zootopia 2 coming out, I’m honestly more hyped for that film, especially that it is going to be straightforward.

Still better than Spellbound, but then again Moana 2 is just another Frozen 2. Just harmless, yet not worth it.

Just going to wait to stream it on Disney Plus; I'm not in the mood to see it in theaters when it was originally a streaming show, and those 10 episodes are now most of the 100 minutes. Hoping that Walt Disney Animation Studios' Vancouver can survive longer than Pixar Canada.

Will be seeing this tomorrow. And considering the circumstances this film ended up going through… …oh man, the Disney Animation team absolutely did the best they could. They really did. They should have had just made it a film from the start.

Well, hey, at least Zootopia 2 is not going to have that because Zootopia 2 has always been planned to be a movie from the very beginning and I don’t have to worry about it too much actually and also Byron Howard is coming back to direct the movie as well, which is also very exciting and very awesome at the exact same time as well at least Zootopia 2 Moore going to feel like an actual movie rather than stitched together episodes from the canceled TV series like Moana 2 at least it is going to feel more like an actual movie than Moana 2 honestly I’m still so hyped up for Zootopia 2 it’s going to feel more like an actual sequel movie than Moana 2 so I don’t have to worry about it too much actually and even the same team who also worked on the first. Zootopia is also coming back to do the sequel to Zootopia as well, which is very awesome and the story feels less episodic and more theatrical like Moana 2 and also making a sequel to Zootopia is pretty much like making a sequel to Inside Out because there is a lot more you can do with it and it’s less money and more on creativity for Zootopia 2 considering that they’re introducing reptiles in Zootopia 2 definitely very intriguing and very promising as well and I think it’s going to feel more like an actual movie than Moana 2 I don’t have to worry too much about Zootopia 2 at all

Why is his name "Hitpig", when he doesn't kill any animals? More like "Bounty Pig."

How do you make animals look so uncanny? And then cartoony at the same time like they were trying to be like Shrek and Paw patrol?

Man, this movie is so forgettable that i even forget what's going on throughout the movie. I'm serious.

Well i did sometimes chuckle during the movie, not because the comedy in this movie was good(since it's actually not), but because the moments that were supposed to be serious and/or dramatic and/or something like that are actually pretty HARD to take them seriously(such as the "What About Me" scene for example, the way it cuts to Katrina approaching and back to elian and her parents is pretty funny). Before you ask "who the heck is Katrina": Katrina is actually how i refer to "tHe DaRkNeSs"(GET IT!? BECAUSE IT'S A TORNADO!!!(despite the fact that real life Katrina is actually a hurricane and there is actual difference between a tornado and a hurricane)), btw Katrina is pretty lame, like why can't we have a proper villain instead of a tornado of "dArKnEsS" that turns people with "DaRk FeElInGs" into monsters, like imagine how interesting the villain would be, but oh well, we didn't get a villain and now we're stuck with Katrina the tornado of "DArKnEsS"

this movie lacks the magic and tries to be a Disney Rip Off

Alan Menken has made the worst soundtrack. Which is disappointing because he and Glenn Slater gave use Sister Act, A Bronx Tale, Galavant, The Little Mermaid(Broadway) and Tangled/the Series. The music is so boring and unappealing. The music doesn’t move the story forward and is constantly play it safe. It’s Diet Disney

I liked the movie quite a bit. It was entertaining and did a good job for what it aspired to be: a fantasy movie that told a story about how parents fighting can bring out the worst in both the parents but also their children. The Oracles looked kinda creepy when not in their silhouette forms and the John Lithgow musical number could’ve been cut entirely, but aside from those, I actually enjoyed it. I know it might not be for everyone but I didn’t find myself getting bored with it, or hating it for that matter. Animated films of 2024 ranked worst to best in my opinion: Megamind vs the Doom Syndicate, The Sandy Cheeks Movie, Despicable Me 4, Kung Fu Panda 4, Moana 2, The Garfield Movie, Thelma the Unicorn, Tiger’s Apprentice, Ultraman: Rising, , Orion and the Dark, Transformers One, The Wild Robot, Inside Out 2 I wonder how That Christmas will turn out…

I found out about this movie when I was looking for showtimes for the latest Venom movie in a theater near me.

Are we ignoring the fact that a literal sex offender made this movie? Don't give John Lasseter any further engagement. Make him fade into obscurity.

i really wanted to give this movie a watch but GOD the over-advertising was so infuriating everytime i tried to watch something on netflix- BOOM, ADVERTISEMENT OF THIS MOVIE- it was goddamn everywhere, it drove me nuts omfg. especially since the advertising team was awful ...also everything in the movie just looks, terrible. bad designs all around. i couldn't even get through the first few minutes and i clicked right out of it as soon as a song started to already play good lord i am thankful i didn't watch this

The Story for Spellbound feels like it was written by a Disney hater.

Me after watching this video: went to see spellbound on Netflix After halfway the film? I just stopped watching. Nothing in the film impressed me. It’s just…. Boring. Say what you want about the sandy cheeks movie, but at least it HAD ideas that could have worked. But sadly, the movie ignored these ideas, followed by a lot of problems Spellbound was just too boring. Plus I’m not a fan of musicals

While I don't think the film is that bad, I can agree that similar to Luck, alot of potential was squandered by John Lasseter. I feel really bad for these people. I hope they can work somewhere safe from that monster.

The director of Spellbound also did Shark Tale, so... I hope the studio's next films can be better, such as Brad Bird's dream project "Ray Gunn", which he has been trying to make for decades. I'm also interested in the Jack And The Beanstalk adaptation, and I wonder if it is a ressurrection of the cancelled Disney film Gigantic.
