I offer lessons in the Initial Alexander Technique, which are conducted one-on-one with a teacher over Zoom. They are designed to help you gain conscious control over how you move your body. Most people have no idea what they’re doing with their body, and as they misuse their body, they end up with discomfort, pain, and other issues that they may not even realize are caused by what they’re doing to themselves. But ho...

I'd be interested in knowing if people in these primitive civilizations have the same issues with snoring that we have in modern culture. I'm thinking that if you asked someone to stop snoring a few thousand years ago, they knew the cure to reduce or eliminate it. Have we lost this information? Or is it like some other things, there is no money in free.

i have a question. when the pelvis pushed forward, the legs joints are splayed forward. but at the same time if the pelvis has anterior tilt, the joint will again be splayed the opposite direction. i wonder if the forward posture is a compensation for the shortening and anterior pelvic tilt

Bro ever since i tried the adjustment of moving the tip of the elbow forward, out and down, i keep having pops and clicks in my elbows. The nerve keep jumping out and in. What do u think is the issue here? Also do you mean to have us never rotate our arms any other way? (I don't really understand how we could use our arms the way u say) So far tho, only the directions for the torso have been useful, thank you for that❤

These Videos have helped me a lot. I'm 27 and had a back injury 2 years ago that never went away. The instincts of avoiding pain has had their toll on my body and posture as to where often muscle groups have learned to be used wrongly and asymetrically. Since 1 Year I'm about healing - I went to 2 physio-therapists but both weren't really helpful or seemed interested in finding the deeper issues around my posture. Anyways. I found your channel to be one of the only external resources for me I seem to be able to work with. It has helped me a great deal to figure out how I should feel. The rest was a lot of stretching and massaging myself on doorframes trying to free myself from contorsion and learning about how my body feels - how the weight I put from left to right on my feet changes how the muscles around my calves wrap until they become the most extended part of my pinky finger. Even though some days just drive me mad. It has gotten a lot better overall. Every new video is an important impulse to further my personal process. Thanks a lot for all your advice man. 💪

My Adam's apple is to the left of the center of my neck. My right side of my face goes deep into the face (more cheek, less cheekbone, less eye, more drooping eyelid), and the left side is more convex (less cheek, more cheekbone, etc.). • @reyki3576

True, but is not normal to have any exaggeriton or nocitable assymetry. To fix this problem you got learn to control you fascia, starting from legs, it could the way you walk, you have a muscle imbalence maybe, but they way you describe things im 100% you have left aic right bcc parten. You can fix this by knowing first how to diagramh breathing, second looking videos to fix this problem, try to look a guy on RUclips that goes conor harris. The way a fix my assymetry is because i was walking uneven and over the years my fascia was chanching because of that.

This is the first video of yours I've seen, and I have a comment about sleeping on the floor. I was looking at the theories for why thin mats and Japanese sleeping mats are effective and it occurred to others and it makes sense to me that it relieves stress on your frame. In a soft bed your body has to keep tension in order to keep its shape but on a harder surface your body can relax on the anchor points that you've provided by your posture and position. When I mess up my back, either through activity or through sleeping improperly, laying on the floor for even 30 minutes will dramatically reduce the discomfort. Having tried some of these positions and observed my children sleeping in them, that you provided in this video, I think that maybe sleeping on the floor flat on your back is unnecessary for people with better posture, but medicinal for modern people with poor posture and sleeping positions derive more from falling asleep while consuming media on a phone than trying to respond to an environmental concern.
