There is a problem with taking Musk's statements on sustainable zero carbon mass automobiles at face value. It is probably hype to suggest that Tesla have plans to produce a £20K car. At some point there will be a 25 or 30k car because that is as cheap as it needs to be to undercut the opposition. Europe and US are going to block the cheap Chinese cars so that competition is pretty weak currently. Henry Ford didn't build a new car to give the world a cheap Model T, he carried on building the by then obsolete Model T. At some point in the future an existing Tesla model will cost £20K. Possibly it will be built under licence by Lada.

Only if your forced to buy one.

I'm in the US on the West coast and so far I haven't seen any non Tesla vehicles on my few Supercharger sessions, during the last few months. However given that most of the non Tesla Ev's will use two charging bays with V3 Superchargers, I'm quite leery on opening up the V3 network to non Tesla's. The V4 Superchargers have started to be installed in the US ~ 4-6 months ago, however still today ~80% of new installs are V3's. V4 chargers are quite slow to roll out right now. I personally feel that Non Tesla's that cannot use 1 bay only should be limited to V4 Superchargers only! The other EV manufacturers didn't make any effort at all until just recently to provide publics fast DC chargers in the US. Tesla did right from the start, and that's one of the primary reasons I bought a Tesla!

That looks like an amazing place, and it’s great to see classic cars mixed in with the future. It annoys me when a conversation pops up about electric cars and they say but I’m a car guy 😒 I’m a car guy and I love classic cars and going to motor sport events, a Tesla is a car its just got a modern form of propulsion 🤣 so this is a great video to highlight the love for all vehicles and to stop this madness of electric being bad.

Wait till the market in the US finds out there's soon a HUGE need for a "Tesla Refurbish Center" Unlike gas cars, it's incredibly easy to "refurbish" a 300K mile Tesla to brand new status.

What beautiful cars! A hundred years from now, these classics will still be beautiful as museum pieces... The billions of ugly, huge ICE vehicles will be represented in a different section of the museum -- the section that discusses the near-miss climate disaster that was averted by the transition to sustainable energy. America's massive SUVs and pick-ups will have a 'special' section in that display.

Standard nah definitely not not enough range, crappier stereo, go for the Long range rwd or AWD with the upgraded sound system makes a world of difference plus battery life chemistry is different nickel batteries for LR instead of the LFP for standard which battery degradation I haven’t lost 1 mile yet over 2000 miles on my model 3 LR. standard range would think get better battery life or degrade less it definitely doesn’t.

A 2 door coupe as a taxi? Sure that's s great idea, if it's only you and maybe 1 other. Don't forget that this thing is supposed to drive itself. If not then it's either going to have a driver and more your down to one passenger. Or if it has back seats then if you likem pissing around with putting seats forward to get in the back, sure that's nice 😂 Or perhaps one of the passengers is supposed to be the 'driver' and takeover if SFSD gets it's knickers in a twist or loses its mind and tries to run someone off the road. Yeah great 😂. So this becomes the equivalent of a Rental/City Hop vehicle. Awesome 😂

Took a new M3 for a test drive while waiting for my MY to get serviced. Wow. It is so nice and zippy, felt like a “normal” car. Its suspension is much better.

I went from a performance model Y to a SR model 3. It’s only been a few days. The difference in speed is noticeable but I don’t think I made the wrong choice. The updated interior is worth it alone.

LFP for the win! I’m biased because I’m using and abusing that battery….and 80% of long range v 100% of LFP isn’t that far apart for everyday….and as an Old Duffer I have to stop quite often anyway….and I have my PCP down at exactly £400pm because it’s £10k cheaper, yet has nearly all the same benefits. My “old” one still gives 260 or more (started at 272) after 14 months, 30,000 miles…that’s (IMHO) pretty OK for first year (c4%), real world, living with it long term…

Tottenham, where I grew up, is always a busy place to live and work. I can fully imagine these cheap, superfast, reliable, convenient chargers being continually swamped. They were probably used as parking spaces too. I am not surprised that this location, also a service and sales centre, would soon get fed up of non Tesla EVs clogging the forecourts and obstructing actual Tesla customers. Such is the price of popularity I suppose. This situation also shows the huge pent up demand that could be exploited by companies set on making a viable alternative to Tesla chargers. But what do I know.

There is no way to tell anyone the "real" range of an EV, as it highly depends on the personal situation and driving behaviour. The only thing that is important is context. How is a certain range achieved. That said, I think WLTP sucks and is of very little interest to most consumers.

Agreed just get a Model 3, but a Model Y Quicksilver with a white interior parked next to my MG4 yesterday and for the first time ever I think I started to long for a Model Y… The best part about lower M3 prices is used prices are really becoming accessible for many more. Rather than being given PTSD by a leaf new EV owners in the 2nd hand market can start to drive more mature, efficient models.

Call me old-fashioned but I wouldn't want to drive any car around the UK's roads without an indicator stalk.

Would love if this thing can fit four occupants. Looking at the image it seems unlikely. To me it looks like a small utility vehicle. Suspect the boxy back is where luggage and other things will be stowed. Hoping Tesla give the public a chance to buy one. Needs to have a steering wheel though.

We are not allowing in the hoi polloi, because it's bringing down the quality of our neighborhood. The way it's presented just has that vibe to it. As a business decision, it's understandable, but it just sounds wrong.

Long range is just fantastic, well apart from the price. I’d love that real world range on the standard, here’s to battery improvements that seem to becoming quicker. Anything under 5 seconds is just silly, honestly I’d not want ludicrous if you said here pick one for free as that’s too fast and after you showed friend a few times I think why would get bored of taking off to that extent.

Bought the LR 3 2024 in March. My wife got the RWD 3 2024. We are in Canada. In short, I am not an acceleration guy. The LR AWD 3 is very fast. But I don’t use it. Well maybe sometimes :). I drive her car all the time with her for groceries and some roadtrips. Outside of the acceleration it’s the same. Oh and I am also a musician and enjoy a fantastic sound system. Of course I have more speakers. 2 subs etc. But listening to both the RWD is more than enough. So in short they made an incredible base model car. They are both shockingly incredible.

Talking of sheep, what is it with so many people parking! The place is empty & they have to park alongside! They can’t compute without reference to others. I watched a silly old geezer not only park alongside me in an empty carpark, but his driver side door too meaning he struggled to exit his door - in an empty car park!!!!

I am glad I went for the RWD Model Y. The performance is very good and as it turns out the range is perfectly acceptable. I’ve not had any need for more than a 200 mile range. I’d only go for a long range/performance model just for the performance 😂😂😂

I went with the SR RWD Highland on PCP. I couldn't justify the additional £10k for the LR 4WD based on my needs. I've had it a few months now and it's been faultless. Great as a daily and on long journeys - my daughter loves the screen in the back.

I live in Dubai and finished my lease on a model Y in July and switched to BYD. Will never look at Tesla again. The difference is night and day. There's a good reason you all in the US are forced to pay 100% tariff on Chinese EVs.

Tesla needs a Cheaper Variant. Model 2/Roadster 2 should have be prioritized. Also Tesla should focus on Small Cargo like Ford Transit Connect.

From all the tests I have seen, whatever wltp gives you, substrat around 20% and that is the absolute most you can get out of it

I'd love to have seen a fair test, but from the start it was obvious this was not going to be fair in MANY ways. First, you start with a Cybertruck that cost almost three times the cost of the base F-150. Take an F-150 with a 6" lift with drivetrain built for off-roading and the driveshaft is protected, it will crawl over the logs and pipes with ease. (Not to mention it was obvious the Ford was driven over the logs faster than the Tesla). Finally, look at which of these will run for 200,000 miles under NORMAL usage without MAJOR repairs... my money is on the Ford -and I'm not even a Ford guy. This was not a Cybertruck v F-150 test, this was a clown show doing foolish things to vehicles that has no value but might amuse 12yr old kids who have no comprehension of vehicle cost or value.

After looking all the comments: Tasla has 3 problem: 1. Government grants 2. Winter cost 3. Reverse ideas users The video is not solving this problem when it comes to cost vs convenience. If you can't afford a new Model 3 used Model 3s are now very affordable with many for sale under £20k here in the UK and the reliability should be a lot better than an ICE vehicle due to very few moving parts (around 20) versus around 2000 in an ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicle. Plus with an EV your brakes last much longer due to one pedal driving from regen braking.

I prefer my Model Y because the higher riding position makes it much easier to get into and out of - perfect for the elderly owner like me. When I went to sit in the Model 3 refresh the first thing I did was bang my head getting in due to how low it is - compared to the Y.
