The new bridge and mountain look AWESOME !! and I agree , I’m like you I don’t model for the Smithsonian so if the signals arn’t correct or something I don’t care its my layout and I like it ( LOL )

I use the spray foam often with Halloween decorations, you can mist it with water and work it, tool it. You can cover walls or forms with packing tape, Saran Wrap, mold release, wax, oils…then de-mold it. Spraying with water also makes it set faster….

I have the same loco and ❤the thing!! Grabbed it from my older brother.

Hi Zack. It looks great. How do you access trains in the tunnel should you have a derailment?

A large part of a hobby of model railroads is learning how to fix Electronics. God help you if you ever try working on N scale that's a nightmare. Working on o scales of pleasure in comparison there's so much room. I agree with you on Lionel just about everything I own and Lionel comes apart something breaks something needs repair something's not working. I've only been into o-scale for about 4 months. I think I have about 20 steam engines. Very little time on any one of them five of them are already laid up playing on their side waiting for repairs. Mind you they're all used so it doesn't bother me. You pay almost half or less for used engines in most cases. You should see my hoe collection I must have 50 engines waiting for repairs. Talk about a scale that's unreliable. The nice thing about ho is the electronics are dirt cheap in comparison to O scale. Mth is actually the better bargain by far. You can retrofit the most modern electronics that MTH offers and proto 3 for 200.00. Try that and Lionel. I think the update smoker is around 40? So you can update your favorite diesel or Steam logo for $200 and have the most modern sound and lights. Very little soldering pretty much Plug and Play. My next step is to see if I can convert my Lionel Legacy or any of my Lionel's over MTH Proto 3s. I might even look into converting post-war trains into DCs. I can take my old guts from the MTH Trains and put them into post-war trains. It's well worth you learning a little bit about Electronics it's going to save you so much money and give you an ability to immediately fix broken engines. Great video and I don't think you hurt anybody's feelings this is all truth. Shame on Lionel shame on MTH. We need a new player to come out with economic DCC control systems for both. Don't be shocked if that person is me one day. I dislike both companies it's a monopoly. Binopoly. Lol

Thank you for your videos! A lot of great ideas on creating things and using cheaper items. When you have a chance can you do a deep dive into installing the MTC controllers and your Lionel controllers? Great layout Great ideas . Getting ready to start my O gauge layout!

About time! Soon as I saw this, I grabbed a cup of joe , and, as usual, was greatly impressed. I appreciate your frank explanation of your thoughts and processes. The results are fantastic. While the sculpta mold rock is sharper and more scale, the foam is more than adequate representing rock. This journey you have taken us with the progression of your layout has been nothing less than stellar.
