Had a great time man! Was my pleasure hosting you! Welcome to head back north anytime, hopefully next year the sale is back to what it normally is! I know many people were disappointed. That cab forward is pretty sweet! Was definitely meant to be yours haha! Great addition to your big and oddball locomotives!
Hello country bunker trains, nice haul on the weathering stuff, awesome find on the trippy trolley and like you said waiting on shaggy and scooby to pop up,and finally super sweeeeeeeeeet find on the Cab forward, she's a beauty and number 5 on my list of engines to get.. Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊😊
That cab-forward from Lionel is a real keeper for your collection, Zach. Just hope it has a good 'track' record as time goes on. The trolley is lots of fun! I have two regular size O gauge trolley made Industrial Rail. The predominant colour is purple, which I didn't like, but then I decided to call the trolley line 'The Purple Eater'! A little bit of entertainment for otherwise non-model train friends. Thanks for this thought update.
Zac! Gotta luv the cab forward. Hope you have many years of enjoyment with it. I have the TMCC Lionmaster version and MTH Daylight version with PS3 Love them both! Take care my friend Joe
Nice cab forward! I do know a little history of the real cab forward. But if you ever seen the pentrex DVD the last running cab forward over Donner pass, it will fill you in on everything you need to know
Does the S.P. Cab-forward have an air-horn option in the whistles. The S.P. engines equipped with them (GS-2 thru GS-6 Daylights), most of the later cab-forwards and Pacific types were equipped with air-horns. They were used more often than the steam whistle.
Hello again Zak you know that Lionel trippy trolley would look really nice running around your Christmas tree just a thought you could acquire the Lionel fast track that lights up to go with it SALUTE GOD BLESS ENJOY ;-)
Nice addition to your layout i really liked the southern pacific cab forward beautifully looking engine! And I should think about weathering my model trains too I only have chalk for my freight car on my o gauge layout yeah it is so cool
Thank you!! Yea, the weathering has added a good bit of fun and realism to the layout. Only planning on doing one train of it, but have really been enjoying it, and the pieces my buddies done for me.
Nice addition your colle tuin Zach. The trolley is pretty cool. The cab forward is a beaupiece as well. Didn't you send in your Sante Fe DD35 for repair? It looks great running on the layout.
Zack, Iam 3Hr And A Half From There . Been Three Times Yea Great Deals There, Since Then We Have A Shop Open 10 Mi Away, I Just Bite The Bullet, Pay Full Freight, But Iam Back Home And Up And Running It Within 30 Min.
Yea, that’s not a terrible drive to get there. Would definitely try for it more often if it was a little closer to us (around 6 hour drive). Hope to get back some day!
Hey what's a cab forward doing in Florida lol. I have one of my own since I live on the west coast and I've seen the real 4294 in person up in Sacramento. Lionel did a really beautiful job on this rendition of the models this time around. Enjoyed the video! P. S. Fix the blowdown spreader on the engineer side if you can, it's quite bent.
Was just looking at the real 4294 today! Didn’t know it was the one that survived! How cool! Might need to try and see it some day! Is it? Not sure what is “correct” being the first time owning one of these. I’ll have to look at it. Thanks!
Hi Hal, these are a woodland scenics product called risers. Believe they are more intended for use with HO scale track, but do work with O scale if you double them up, or add cardboard like I did. Hope this helps! woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/item/RISERS
Can’t make it back to York this year unfortunately. Hoping to try and make it back next year. I’ve quit going to the Deland shows, it’s just too far a drive and not enough there to really make it worth while for me… I’d rather head down to the store for the day.

Yea, it has 2 different air horns in the sound set, this whistle is my favorite so far out of the lineup. Love the way it sounds/fits the engine.

Love the cab forward. Do you have a sound car behind it to give the freight sounds? I still can’t find one.
Trippy trolley!!!

Thank you! Yea, the DD35 was in for a little bit getting repaired. Luckily running like a champ so far since it’s been back.
Where did you get triangular shaped support under your elevated section?
They came from an MTH bridge I have on the other layout. They worked out good for this bridge
