I agree. It is a great set. My only complaint, I wish it had the 18” passenger cars, not the 15”. However, even the 15” look pretty good. I also have the Neil Young Texas Special set. I plan to make a video of that set soon. Thank a for the kind words.
Nice one Don. You've got some great units . . . thanks for sharing. And thanks for the descriptions of what is being presented. Those snippets are entertaining and instructional. Much appreciated!
Great video Don! I was going to ask you about the green trucks on the one car but you took care of that before I could ask. Love your NYC Pacemaker consist! 💯👍
Thanks! Those green trucks are indeed different. Stay tuned, I am working on a video of just the Pacemaker cars. I should post next week. Thanks again for watching.
Hello Charles. Thanks for the comment and I am glad you enjoy my videos. Now that the Holidays are behind us, I should be making them on a more regular basis.
Great video, Donald! I enjoyed the on-camera intro. I don't think I've seen you do that in any of your other videos. Great passenger set. I had not seen olive green trucks before. Interesting to see they are prototypical. Thank you!
Hello my good friend Jason. I appreciate the kind words. Yep, the REA box is indeed real. I think a strange combination of colors. But, just last summer, I photographed the exact same car in Strasburg.
Me again. This is my first video where I went in front of the camera. I plan to do it more! Just seems awkward taking to the camera. You make one little mistake and you have to start over again.
Thanks! My ground cover is actually foam. It varies from very fine to course. I use Woodland Scenics brand but there are a lot of others. Most of the tall trees are over 30 years old. I made them from wood dowels and Caspia fern glued to the dowel. After all the years, they are extremely delicate. I hate to touch them. Check out Scenery Express. They have a lot of different ones. Hope that helps.
Hi Don, Nice video ! I really enjoy your train layout videos and your OGR magazine articles. I'm learning a lot from your videos and OGR articles, as I'm retired now and hoping to start on my own layout build. Nice to see you in person in this video, is this your first appearance? Paul
Thank you Paul. It is nice to hear that someone actually reads my articles!🙂🙂 I am glad to help out and thanks again for enjoying the videos and articles. You nailed it Paul. This is the first time my face made an appearance in a video. It was a recommendation from a friend and a way to connect more with my viewers. I plan to do the same in future videos.
Hey Travis. It already has one. I had the sounds turned off. Those cars are the shorty 15” guys. I do not run them a lot. I wish they had the 18” cars.
Beautifull video and layout !!!
Love the whistle and sound of the steamer .
Thanks for the kind words. I agree, the steam whistle and sounds are great!
That's a beautiful ABA set. I always thought it was cool because it had Neil Youngs name with it.

@@DonaldKeiser1981 I can’t wait for this one. I made one of all Marx Pacemaker boxcars. Thanks for the reply Don. Frank
@@TwistedMacGyversTrains I really like all my High Cubes but that Pacemaker paint scheme just looks great.
@@DonaldKeiser1981I don’t own any high cub box cars yet that I know of. I will have to take a look and see what I can find.
Nicely done. Always enjoy your train videos!

Thank you Roland. I am 15 years older but has been my hobby most of my life!
Nice run.Good Trains
Thank you very much!
Neat Donald.
Thanks Hunter!
Very cool running session Don, love the Pennsy F Units and the NYCentral GP30.
Hey Roger. Nice to hear from you. I am such a “modern era” kind of guy. It is nice to run some older stuff in the Fallen Flags once in a while.
And this was a very special video to see those older locomotives. Thanks for posting the video.

Real nice layout. How do you get your ground color? Is that sawdust? Love the tall tress as well!
Thanks! My ground cover is actually foam. It varies from very fine to course. I use Woodland Scenics brand but there are a lot of others. Most of the tall trees are over 30 years old. Hello Donald , trains look great !
Hello Ray. Glad you like them!
Those penny cars are especially nice. Gary
Thanks for the comment Gary. I appreciate your support.
Great upload. Subbed.
Thanks for the sub! Much appreciated.
Cool video 😊
Thanks for the visit! Glad you liked it.
Great layout. Are the trees from Woodland Scenics?
Yes and also Scenery Express. A mixture of both. The really tall pines were made by me 30 years ago.
Nice video! Are you shure your not the real Santa Claus???
Thanks. I will never tell. Just make sure you stay off my “naughty list”!
Are any of those Pacemaker Box cars a Tin Plate Marx? I have one in my collection, plus two Service Merchandise.
Hello. Thanks for watching. No, none of the cars are Marx. They are either Lionel or MTH.
Awesome. could you use a diner sounds car for that passenger set?
Nevermind, I see you have it, but its not turned on.
Hey Travis. It already has one. I had the sounds turned off. Those cars are the shorty 15” guys. I do not run them a lot. I wish they had the 18” cars.
Wow.
Crew talk is a stupid feature. Steam locomotives never had radios. Even so you can't hear them talking on the radio.
