It looks magnificent on your layout. The smoke the sound I love going to the antique tractor and steam engine show.I love the smell of Call in the morning. Country bunker trains have helped me greatly in developing my new layout.
You simplify things explain them rationally, and it helps me make decisions on what Products, landscaping material track and other thing is related to our hobby.
Thank you for allowing me to come into the basement. Joe bell
Gotta Remember It’s Not a Race It’s A Passion of the Train Collecting Train.
I really like that set. You are sure right on the theater car. That is awesome!
What a magnificent set! That Mike Wolf Big Boy is truly something special. I think the MTH Big Boy whistle sounds closer to the real one, and it smokes like a champ! - Ryan
Fantastic. I loved the video.. Zack I wish I had your talent at planing. I have just started what may be my last layout. Due to a in incurable but treatable at this time. Due to my bone marrow transplant failed. But it did alter the cancer into a treatable form. So each day is a good day. Some are just better than others. It's a Christmas fantasy village floor layout. With a spot for me to sit in a low beach chair. Please keep up the great videos. To some of us they are bits of time that take our pains away. Thank you very much Tom S Cape Cod Mass
Hi Zach
Great video. After watching your video I decided to get a Lionel vision line big boy plus all 7 cars. Also preordered the 2 auxiliary tenders from Legacy Station.
Thanks Ben
100 percent unadulterated AWESOME Zach!
Thanks Joey!! Hope your doing well!!
That's cool Zach!
Very nice train.
What an impressive passenger consist, Zach! That Big Boy MTH O scale is a beauty and a real smoker! The passenger car consist is eye popping. It shows how patience pays off in the end. You've really hit the target with this one!
Hello Zach from Minnesota. I LOVE THE TRAIN!!!!! On Behalf of our family I want to wish You and Your Family a Blessed Thanksgiving and the Best Christmas Ever. I have reworked my layout to 036 and love it. Its been a good year and that 4014 is the BEST AND BADDEST EVER LOL!!! Take Care my Friend Dan Betsy and family.
Thank you Dan! I hope you and your family have a blessed thanksgiving as well! Amazing it’s that time of year already! This year flew by! Glad to hear of the updates on your layout! Sounds like your having a blast! Great to hear!
Seriously impressive! Beautiful engine, beautiful cars and sounds great!
MTH locos are great smokers.
You done good their son, it looks great 👍👍
Hi Zak! Congrats on your new Big boy by MTH. The Union Pacific passenger cars look great. Your layout has come a long way and it looks fantastic! I have watched you create this layout section by section and it's turned out to be a really nice layout. I enjoy your videos and want to thank you for sharing your videos. Please consider puting a camera in the cab can some of your trains. Great job! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to watching more videos of your layout. 🙂👍
Thank you Robert! Really appreciate the kind words! Will have to dust off the GoPro again soon for some up close action!
That is a nice big girl you put together. Sometimes to get what you want you need to mix brands. I enjoyed the video.
Very cool! Great set!
The baggage car isn't just any baggage car, it's the head end tool car for the excursion fleet.
Thumbs Up!!!👍,Lionel whistle 👍, just like the real deal 😉Zack, always enjoy your updates, take care bud, see ya! 👋😎🛤🚂
Great video! Are you running the Big Boy on 060 or 072? The boiler hangover is pretty demonstrative. I need to catch up on the rest of your videos…
That is a great set, that theater car is so cool!, I wish they made more sets / sizes of those for people like me with a smaller layout. I'm with you on the Aux tender, not sure why they take so long to make and are so expensive, they are just a diecast car basically.
Awesome score Zach! Looks great running around on your layout. I pre-order my up pass cars from Legacy Station. I find they have the best deals on them.
Both are awesome as far as I'm concerned country bunker trains 😊😊😊, definitely one heck of set and well worth the wait/price. Ps 4014 clip the tree with her long nose 😂😂
Pretty sweet looking set! I really do like the restoration sound set and they whole PFA golden spike sequence that’s what separates that model from the rest. Just can’t beat it.
Thanks man! They for sure did an excellent job with the golden spike sound set!
Zach I run mainly HO (, can't afford much O gauge) 😂 but I have some O gauge trains and a big old Lionel and Marx track on the floor around my HO layout. Love your layout and trains. I love your videos.
That’s gotta be quite the site! Sounds like one fun train room!! Thank you!
Thanks, I agree with you on the Big Boy whistle too.@@CountryBunkersTrains
The baggage car that you got with the theater car (the Art Lockman) is actually the baggage car that always accompanies the 4014 and 844 pretty much immediately after the water tender (ignoring diesel helper)
So when 4014 runs you typically will see art lockman baggage car behind the engine because it is a tool car and then the experience UP car will be typically somewhere near the middle of the train
Appreciate the info! Seen a couple people comment about that. I’ll have to keep that in mind for possible future videos!
Killer set!😊
Great Video!! Thanks!
When it comes to model whistles
Mth always sounds like someone is stepping on a duck
Lionel comes off with a deep and haunting sound (especially on triple speakers)
😂🤣 I can’t definitely see it! That’s gotta be one big duck in 4014! LOL
Hey Zach couldn't help but notice the numberboard on the fireman's side of the big boy seemed bent, like it was facing down. Did you bump it into something or did it come this way? Love the videos, keep up the good work!
I had to go look at it, and your right. Both of em were a little droopy. Just moved em back up. Thanks! I recently took it up to the shop for some work, and they prolly got bumped during their visit
hello zach it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks zach friends randy and the union pacific big boy 4014 thanks zach
Thanks Randy! Happy Railroading!
Great set Zach. I still think the Bigboy whistle is the best steam engine whistle. I do like the sound of the Lionel whistle better but one couldn't go wrong with either in my book. If you didn't have both for a side bye side comparison I'm not sure one would even notice. If you ever get tired of it I would gladly take it off your hands if you decide to donate to a worthy cause.
Very nice !
Awesome video 😊
Holy cow that’s close to 2 feet long each. They almost look like they are coming off the tracks around the curves. The gray one sounds better. Realistic or not, still better.
That “other” baggage car is NOT just another baggage car. It’s the Art Lockman which is the steam team’s tool car and this is the first time it’s been made in 3 rail O scale. I have that same 2 pack on order, should be here soon. After i get my 2 pack on order then my excursion train will be at an even 30 passenger cars not including the 2 auxiliary tenders and the 9336 boxcar. Personally i think the nicer observation car is the Lonestar with the rear patio. Atlas makes the parts car (boxcar #9336) in 3 rail O scale and Lionel and MTH make both auxiliary tenders for the steam excursion train.
Impressive set. Is it time for another smoke out? 😎👍!
Getting there!! 💨💨💨 😂
Nice passenger cars Zach. Who would you say makes the best passenger cars? Lionel or MTH?
That’s a great question! If $$ were. I object, I think the old aluminum 21” K line cars might be best. That our golden gate depot. Between MTH and Lionel, personally, I think MTH made a nicer car for the $$. Beautifully detailed and have passengers included in them. The Lionel 21” are nice, but don’t seem near as detailed or have figures already installed. The size is nice, but I think your paying more for the name then the actual car..
MTH stuff always seems to be a bit more prototypical. Nice set!
Very nice group of cars. However, 21" seems awfully long. Maybe too long to go through a lot of tunnels?
I like MTH'S prices better but must say Lionel's Big Boy whistle is hands down cooler sound
Which ever engine makes you happy has the best whistle boy I will say that mth is the king of smoke I have the the rail king version I just got the aux tender and am still waiting on the u p cars as always from DT Shortline
Absolutely!!
There is an old Union Pacific Song, (like the Southern Pacific song) you need to google it and use it when you run these bad boys….
How Many People Got their Fill at the Train shows Nearest you guys? My Wife And I Missed our opening show But We Have 1 Or 2 to Go But If we Get what we Are Looking For On The One Show We May not Go to The Next show. Has Anyone Got what They were Looking For.?
I haven’t been to the close one in a while (Deland FL). It’s usually not the best for o gauge. Decent turn out for the HO guys though! 🤞 the next couple shows are a great turn out for you!
The hobo union approves of this video...❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Greetings Zach, I know that you’re spending money again well don’t feel too bad. I’ve just paid big bucks here in Melbourne Australia. I’ve never been a DCC person. My brain cannot handle electronic gizmos how to use them so I’ve always stuck to analog my feeling in life is if I’m gonna have a hobby I need to enjoy not to be confused by Electronics that way I can enjoy my hobby and have fun with it. Yours, Jeff
Hey Jeff! As long as your enjoying what your doing, can’t go wrong IMO! Hope you continu enjoying it and have a great rest of your week!
This Is Model Railroading Season Till April.
Still think it looks better as a frieght engine
Definitely more in its element in front of some freight. But think it’s pretty cool to have something that’s a current/real steamer pulling an excursion set running the rails here. A “sign of the times” if you will. If that makes sense?
Are you drunk filming or do you just go back and forth?
