In 1984 I was working on the Castrol Motorsport sponsorship PR account. We sponsored Team Bike and I got in with their social life, which was pretty full on. Great times with Howard, Matt, Zed and the guys.

I really like that streetfighter apart from the matt grey 'cheeks' at the front, on some of the colour schemes. I think it spoils the whole thing. Bin the wings off too. i'm with you lot of the R9/R7 too. Just does nothing for me and I can't quite put my finger on why. i think i'd rather them stick a high revving inline four engine in it. On the subject of helmets can we get some more manufacturers that cater to people with long oval heads? The list of (race style)helmets to fit my head is miniscule.

I went on suday 17th and spent 6 hours and 12250 steps and i'm seeing stuff on all these various YT bike show channels that i missed !,.Great show this time, far better than last years, i wasn't looking forward to it this time after last years let down but there was a good atmosphere this time around,. Some fantastic bikes and trade stands, even a good spread of places to eat & drink, yes its expensive but it's only once a year and breaks up the winter,. Cap it off with a couple of shandys in wetherspoons on the way out and go back to car at 6.30 and drive out without paying £18.95 as they dont man the booths once most of the cars have left earlier, saved me a hundred quid or more over the years,.. Happy days,.......

Cheap race bike prices, bargain £2000 fireblade, Rc30’s still strong money, R7,.! Didn’t sell “boo hoo” all that bling thrown at it and it would have been better left alone unmolested, I think “Lamb chop rides” road tested it with Bruce Dunn fairly recently,. Ducati’s £40k for desmosedici isn’t great, and they are not nice to ride either,. That old classic demo that went for £122000 is stupid, and the £280000 Vincent is mad money,. Surprised how little the track 2T 250’s went for.. And a ‘98 Blade for…£1500, and that ZXR H1 for just £1700😮 Values have definitely dropped.. Bargains to be had for sure.. who knows where the market will be again, 5 years from now 💁🏻‍♂️ You definitely have to play the long game if money is your objective. Me, I just love 90s bikes..so the fact certain bikes are cheaper at the moment is a big plus. Buy em cheap, & pack that garage out! 😁👌🏼

Those Ducati 900SS would blow up at 20000 miles from new. Big ends would go..However the 500cc pantah was brilliant. My mate had one. It was reliable too. He increased the CC and had big valve done. What a great machine it was
