We had a wander around the auction on Saturday. A nice CBX1000 caught my eye. That went for a fair bit below the guide. That multi cylinder Whitelock was just ridiculous. Amazed that someone paid that much.
Great site guys! I was a teenager in the 1980's (in particular 82-86) and really followed the golden era of the big 2 strokes. I'd love to buy one of those TZ 250s to use as a museum piece at my house. Nice to see a site dedicated to the restorations, values and auctions of these wonderful machines.
@@raceandretro sub'd👍 .. BUT .. can I offer a tip to consider format .. start your vids with an intro of the content .. akin kinda to news reports .. tell them what you're going to tell them .. tell them .. tell them what you've told them .. intro, topic, summary .. otherwise things can go wayward & lose track for us viewers.. AND .. more pics of the bikes while you're yacking rather than you's guys just yacking .. more eye candy than custard😷 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿nz
@Errol.C-nz wait.. so you're saying us 3 aren't the eye candy?! 😁 Welcome aboard!! It still blows my mind a bit that people are tuning in from all over the world! Make sure you check out part 1 (if you haven't done so already), then this video might make a little more sense 😅. Thanks for the input and hope you stick around 🍻
@@raceandretro mate .. don't take it the wrong way but id rather listen than look .. just consider an intro .. "what we've got today" .. sorta thing .. poached vs scrambled .. steak .. or mince patty 😵 .. 🇳🇿🇳🇿
@@Errol.C-nz seriously though, we do love a bit of feedback and its absolutely not taken the wrong way as you have been positive, however as Ant has said, who in their right mind wouldn’t want to look at us, must be the finest looking trio on YT 😂 All three of though really appreciate the input and sub, especially from NZ. 🙏👍
Beautiful GSXR & gorgeous Ducati 851 that went for only for £6100.. and yet that Whitlock multi cylinder monstrosity goes for £80k! The world has gone mad…..🙄 I’d have bought both the 851 & Gixxer
My favourite GSXR was the GSXR 1100, I'm not sure if it was the L or M model in Black with Silver or Grey stripes and badging etc on it! Back in the early nineties, I was riding my Black 1988 1200 Sportster which I bought brand new in May 1988, And that Black and Silver GSXR 1100 always reminded me of a balls out sporty version of Toecutters Bike from Mad Max 1, Freaking Wicked as Hell!! 👍🤘😎
If I was a bit younger and single I would have sold the house to have the RS500, TR750 and H2R in its own collection. Can buy a house anytime but this stuff is rare as rocking horse shite.

We know we are terrible at guessing prices but surely no one saw that price coming for the Whitelock!! Bonkers.

Really appreciate the comment chief! We love that era too, especially the two strokes..except for Keith, Keith likes the big old diesels 👍

Best Honda I've seen is Freddie Spencer bike, owned by John Chapman
That must of been a stunner!
@@raceandretro I'm hoping I get to see his new Honda 6 this year, you should ask him for an interview 😊
Nice vibe gents and admirably restrained too. If you're not on 10k+ subscribers by the end of the year then I'm a Dutchman.
Cheers buddy, that would be mega 🙏👍
Now, are you a Dutchman?

I think the old 6750triumph daytonas will be worth big money in the future. They are so trick and beautiful.

Need to see some Slabsides
The slabsides are shite compared to the sling shots the m model i sent you was the best out of all of them
The slabblies definitely have a classic endurance look about them though.
forfeit........yard of ale!
A yard is a long way! It’s in the hat 👍 cheers for the suggestion
How did Bonhams get jimmy carr to do the auctioneering?
😂😂👍
Was Jimmy Carr the wooden mallet?
Forfeit… Go to your local bike meet dress as a pantomime dame.
i already saw that ina r. crumb comic
Members of RR cannot suggest forfeits!
Forfeit... for next video to wear makeup.... done by a child!!!!!
@@nell9750 this could be a winner! We have a very willing child with little to no experience of applying make up ready to go.
And wear a pink polka dot dress before going to the local bike meet 👌🏼
you lot dont know nothing about bikes give up trying
