Went from a dt50 straight to a nc30 at 17, in 1997 was a ex performance bikes mag project bike, as the writers lived on my road, I had it sprayed as smoking joe! Ended up putting into the bk of a bmw at 95mph, amazing bike, sure I remember the blk parts being gloss

That’s some step up, fair play 👏🏻 shame it ended up where it ended up but love that it was a ex performance bikes bike. Cheers for watching and reassuring us on the gloss black issue 👍

I was wondering over the last few weeks, what happened to you guys. So nice to have you back and the NC30 is making superb progress. Keep it up!

Hey chief! We are absolutely toss at consistency, winning RUclips we are not. Saying that, episode 4 shouldn’t be too far away. Another project bike has been obtained to add to the list so lots more too come.
Thanks so much for the comments and the continued support pal 🙏👍

Loving the resto! I’ve just rebuilt a Honda CBR250R MC19 1988, straight 4 cylinder, not a full resto but more a tidy up!

Thanks and welcome! MC19, was that the one that revs to 22k!

I bet it sounds mega when it’s screaming at 18k. Stay safe on it.
We are filming the next episode on the NC30 this weekend so keep your eyes peeled.
Ace to have conversation with someone about bikes in Oz! Bit bonkers really but exactly what our channel is about. 🙏👌👍

I have a soft spot for the NC30, it was my fourth bike after an NC24. Unfortunately it was stolen a few weeks into ownership. Shame, as it was mint, not a grey but an official import, which if you want one now, they are ridiculously rare and expensive.

    • @raceandretro
      @raceandretro  Год назад +2

That sucks. ☹️ You are right about the UK bikes, super rare and very expensive. Different lights and indicators I think, probably a few other changes too. Cheers for the comment 👍

Are the red wheels factory painted or powder coated. ?

First one we have had and we can’t wait to test it once she is finished! NC35 has been ridden and raced but never the 30. Sounds like it could be mint fun then! Cheers for the comment 🙏👍

While I'm down with re-zincing bolts in general personally I'd go for replacing the brake caliper bolts with new. They're such an important bolt that it's not worth risking it for the sake of ~£12.

Well it looks like the thousands we spent on elocution lessons was wasted then! 😂
But yes, two clay heads and Keith, we are not sure where Keith is from, he just turned up. 👍

Painting things is just the worse, I'm putting off painting my track fairings for over weeks now, but hey its a trackbike not a restore like this so I'm just gonna rattlecan them myself

Certainly has it challenges mate. We were really pleased with how the top yoke came out, really smooth finish with no blemishes…however, when we tighten the top nut up it marked the bloody yoke so it’s now gone off too the powder coaters 🤦🏼‍♂️ Good luck with the fairing painting! 👍
