How I learned the front lever (0 to 15 seconds)
Cool approach. Basically what i did was get very good at weighted pull ups and then when i wanted to learn the front lever it was almost instant lol. That's not to say that it didn't take years to get very good at weighted pull ups 😂
solid dude 👍
So wouldn't doing planches or mimicking the movement with a band or resistance with slow [progression be a good way to mitigate the risk of a proximal tear
it could, but if you look at dr yaad's case he still tore his bicep with band assistance
@@Huange._. didn't he try something different by supinating his arms or am i mistaken. Maybe that increased the load on the tendon when his tendon hadn't acclimated to this new load yet his muscles could handle it.
@@Wtizreal ya he did it on floor instead of parallettes
@@Huange._. yeah this is just speculation but since the bicep is a supinator, elbow flexor and shoulder flexor maybe with that supination the bicep would of contracted a little more and the force on the distal tendon was much higher.. If he didn't have a prior injury though for that to happen the increase on the loading on the tendon would seem to be a lot higher.
I can straddle front lever, but I struggle to tuck back lever
i love it
:)
Gonna try to get a 75lb weighted pullup before the end of the year. Keep up the good work! I'll keep using you as motivation
good luck 👍
insane progress
thank you
DRAGON PRESS
you're already at a good level man, but yeah there's always room for improvement. Keep it up Huange
thank you
You now the training montage is real when chasing ghosts is playing
:)
Crazy the way you've progressed! I'm following your steps, you an inspiration. Let's keep working💪🔝
thank you, keep it up bro
those front lever pull ups look so clean :o
ty alvin, ur turn soon
damn huange you have leon edwards body
Minus the uh...
ty bro
fair
Congrats I’m quite happy for you btw I’m 11 year old and I was finally able to do front lever after all this time
wow that's an amazing achievement
Bro you are SO underrated! I wish you the best of luck because I bet you will one day explode on social media. Your filming skills are on point, keep doing what you do!
thank you
hey man, my wrist is kind of injured for a month and yesterday after doing muscle up the pain was really bad, you have tips for treating my wrist? thanks in advance.
maybe try wrist wraps when doing intense exercises, work on rehab, and lower your training intensity or find less painful exercises
That's amazing and so so so inspiring!
thank you
I'm trying to learn handstand pushups like yours, Very Impressive!
thank you
Damn dude this video is actually so beautiful, love the song choice and how the scenes look. Looking forward to the next videos, i myself have very recently had a left rhomboid injury that lasted 3 weeks, but thankfully I didn't lose much strength. Again, very nice video even if short, keep it up
thank you, appreciate the nice comment
Is the skill in the beginning of the video "a dragon flag on the floor" or just a hollow body hold
it's called dragon press
w video, I'll get the hspu freestanding by the end of winter trust
👍
we enjoy it, well done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
thank you
What did you do to heal rhomboids pain?! I had some issues with my mid back in the past when i was working on front lever and still to this day when i do F.L or weighted pull ups when i finish the workout i feel some discomfort in my mid back especially the right side i feel it when i flex my spine.
decreased intensity for working sets, stretching, light isolations, and an extended break from front lever stuff
love the music
thank you
front lever raises on a dip bar is crazy 😧
ty bro :)
what r u coming back from?
left rhomboid and right elbow injuries
How easy is it to lose skills for you? Does it require a lot of maintenance work?
front lever I didn't train this summer and didn't really lose it, although not at my best level. hspu I got back somewhat quick. those were the only skills I stopped doing i guess.
Great video!
thanks
Great work! 💪
thank you
great music choice
ty
Its ok, i'll sub so you're closer to those new camera lenses. I enjoyed the video
haha don't take it too seriously, but thank you
0:07
I do 30 mucelup, 25 L site pull up, and dragon flag. Is this enough to do full front lever, knowing that I have seen serious results without doing front lever stability or mobility exercises?
you're good to star training it for sure, you might not get it for free since you need specific training to get it
I leave for Chicago on the 18th 😂 just been listening to this all day
wow my record was 28 pullups when I was a measly 60kg bw, cant do anywhere near that anymore
:o
bro the court case 😂😂😂
:)
How often did you max out? Was it a weekly thing as part of your training or did you do it less often?
once every several weeks
@ thanks!
great form !
thank you
Congrats with such clean form this is a crazy feat. How did your dad prepare for this? I would have assumed in his youth it was not so common to do a lot of pullups? Or am I wrong here? Love the intro btw!
he was in recreational gymnastics in college so he was very fit
Fire 🔥
🔥
Excellent endurance!
Excellent endurance!
thanks!
That's very impressive my dude, congrats from Germany. I also enjoy pull ups quite a lot, maybe I should max out in reps more often too 🎉❤
thank you bro
Gz, do you think cardio have an important role in your pr?
prob not, doing general cardio prob wouldn't have helped
Brooo your content is so awesome, please upload more often
ty
did you say 2:40 sec or 3:40 plank lol. I am also in the navy.
heavy weight calisthenics! congrats man. with the EMOM i would actually do dip and pull up alternating EMOM. I used to do this all the time when i was training for my pull up comp. treat yourself and get the lens man, you deserve it!
ty doc, I was alternating pull-ups w/ wall hspu which I cannot emom yet lol. I'll grind a bit more before getting a new lens, but thank you for saying that
@ yeah HSPU is so fatiguing lol. Which lens do you want to get? I think we have the same camera
@@doctorchrisg I'm probably gonna go for the sony sel 35 mm f1.8 lens.
Good video as always. You should take a look after a guy called "Gero Arias", he is doing a challenge of "one more pull up for everyday of the year, without letting go the bar", basically by this point he is doing more than 300 pull ups per day (and adding one more...), which is insane to be honest .
thanks for the recommendation, that's mad impressive
what did u do specifically to rehab your elbows? any specific exercises or routine you would follow?
does your dad do skills
no
❤❤❤
