Yeah it's crazy how fast calisthenics has evolved. I remember when a front lever and a handstand was considered a decent level, now it's like the most basic beginner level on social media lol. Every kid is out there doing HSPU and maltese and front lever pull-ups. For me, I'm 6'2, so front lever is close to the max of what I'll ever be able to achieve, but I still think it's a great element and enjoy it a lot. Great video

I think from my experience basics are the key if you're extremely strong like if you can for example pull your weight and plus you gonna get the Front Lever in no time by just doing full negatives, and something that a lot of people don't pay attention to is nutrition you have to eat well in order to get strong keep it up.

Then i use bands. 🤷🏻♂️ My weighted pull ups are at 135lb for 2 reps also. I could do 3 but i heard ian barseagle say 2 is better. I used to follow dominic program and had great progress for a month or 2 and then it stopped working for me. So im trying 2 reps so far. Well see how it goes
I usually do weighted pull ups with less weight and more reps. Instead of doing 3-5, i do 10-12 reps. Its like a middle grouns between strength and endurance. Also, Its hard to progress on front lever pulls especially with inconsistent technique when u moving to the next progression.

false grip deadhangs help with the false grip aspect of flpu, not the movement itself. flpu regressions with minimal momentum and touch fl progressions helped the most with the movement I'd say

imo opinion front lever is more of an advanced skill for people that are taller than 1m 85, progress is just so slow. It's not because you see it so often on social media performed by shorter athletes with a way more optimal weight distribution (small calves) that it should be considered as an almost entry level skill.
Which skills is harder front lever or human flag ? Geek climber think front lever is impossible for me because I’m 5 ft 10 . But I know a guy 6 ft 1 he can front lever and a rock climber and swimmer . But listening to geek climber he think I can learn the human flag
For most people I’d assume the front lever is harder. Go for the human flag or front lever if that’s what you wanna do! I’m also 5’10” by the way, and you shouldn’t judge your ability to learn a skill based on height alone. I don’t think geek climber is saying that the front lever is impossible for anyone. He’s just saying that everyone has their own unique genetic predisposition towards the skill.

Amazing progress bro but imagine how good it could have been without the fatigue and injury issues. Less is more and to me it seems like you are training for too many things simultaneously.

It didn't help that much for me, but there are some sw pull athletes who probably have insane pull-up 1rm
