What an amazing emphathetic human you are and I am in complete awe...I have a question, what can be done to release the Palestinian "Mandela' who is locked up in an Israel jail...Marwan Barghouti? If he was released, it would be symbolic re-enactment of the way Mandela was released in South Africa to lead his people to a democratic state of South Africa?

I follow and appreciate your work jeff but i felt your answer regarding orthodox jews was lacking and essentialist. The talmud does discuss elements of social Justice, and there is a strong history of orthodox communities that reject the policies of the state of Israel, going all the way back to it’s earliest foundations. Including an objection to ultra-nationalist right wing religious groups in Israel. They view these manifestations as an abomination from a scriptural and spiritual point of view.
