Lovely restoration andy she looks fantastic the yellow is a really nice colour ,what i do sometimes with the hubs is heat them up it tends to shrink the axels enough so its easier for the puller and to put back them back on, once the metal goes cold again the splines swell back to normal i use one of those long match type lighters with the trigger and gas for lighting oven hobs etc look forward to the next one best wishes jay

Nice job Andy, colour matching, we can only do our best, I have done cars I have actually owned, on the more modern ones I go the extra mile and get paint matched to the registration, but that works out at £20 a can.

Quite a few bonkers models there, Andy, but a few nice projects in the makinhg. The Mini Traveller is nice - I have wanted to get one of these and Code3 it as my Dad’s first car, though his was an Austin Countryman: Fiesta yellow and a blue interior: what were they on, I wonder? Handy wee Milkman. The Marshal Tractor will be a challenge, but you’ll work round it with a bean tin, I’m sure!. The Beetle is rescuable if you can find better wheels for it.

The Plymouth Sports Suburban Corgi Toy seems an odd scale compared to the Rolls Royce, and even the Olds Toronado - I doubt it is 1:43, but they were smaller than you’d expect: there is one painted in Corgi colours, bizarrely, in the Sharjah Old Cars Museum and the roof didn’t even come up to my shoulder! The Dinky 1100 looks to be a nice challenging project with a huge contrast between ‘before’ and what after will look like.. and if the Corgi Toronado doesn’t restore, the wheels will do nicely. Maybe on the Thames? Nice Oxford, and a cracking spraying setup. Good start to the New Year!
