- I met up with members of the DMC and fellow RUclips restorers at Stafford in August 2024. Martin Dare at Martin Dares Dinky Toy Restorations, Luke at Diecast Outlaw, Paul at Mid Life Models and Lee at Die Cast Fixer Uppers
Great video Andy, it was a fun day ,that early one is a dinky bedford tipper ,the base has been cut and the winding mechanism is missing but thay did do a fixed bed version, the big Lincoln, the battery works the light for the tv screen ,that you look at through the open rear window. All good stuff .
Thank you Martin I bought that tipper for the headlights, so no big loss. It was a great day out 👍 Thank you for your contribution to this video. 👍
Fantastic video Andy great purchases and bargains love them mate cheers
Thank you John. Some are already on the bench. I’m on holiday in October and need to get 4 models ahead. So they are the simpler ones. If such a thing exist.
Glad you all had a great time at Stafford. 😅
We certainly did. Maybe more will join us next time. It is announced on the DMC Facebook page before we go.
Nice mix of models there Andy
Yes it was a great day out meeting other RUclipsrs and restorers. We could have saved a lot of money if we had searched through each others scrap boxes first. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
HI Andy great selection in this part 2 video ,thanks for the mention , the toyota gt 2000 is from you only live twice not dr no , the end of this video looks like scrapyard diarama
Thanks Kev. It’s only good for spares that Toyota 👍
@@andysgaragediecastrestorations ok

Thank you Mick
Party time 🏁 All the time
Yes some great restorations to do 👍
Nice haul there Andy 👍🏻
Thank you Mark 👍
@@andysgaragediecastrestorations you're welcome 😊
Some nice early Dinkies there, Andy, especially the two Austins, albeit the truck with no chassis, and those Land Rover trailers are rich if the tow hook is intact! Two doors on the Commer is pretty surprising too! I have to say that I am not keen on those Dinky Transits: their style is a bit clunky, I think. Neat little Corgi Bedford in an unusual colour - nearly Son of Green Goddess! - and the Rambler's nice and complete.
That Carrera 6 is CRYING out for a clear rear glass so you can see the engine detail. I used to get to cane those Scoobies at Autodrome - what a hoot these thing were! Nice catch on the Land Rover wrecker. Your ERF is a Cement Powder truck.
Corgi Capri? Straight to the scrapyard diorama - everyone should have one! Your Continental isn't a 55 - might be nearer 67/68 in the real world - they had 6.6 or 7.6 litre engines. The two Dinky Triumphs are handy enough... I had an original Dinky VW painted to match his actual car, by my neighbour, when I was a kid. I got my first speeding fine in a Landcrab, though yours is surely an 1100! I've just stripped a Corgi Vanwall to sort, along with a steel-wheel Cooper Bristol from Dinky! Should be good props for the racetrack Paddock diorama.
Comprehensive! No other word for that lot! Thanks for sharing!
As always a big thank you for watching and your extensive knowledge and feedback. Some are already on the bench. The easy ones so I have some videos to load when I’m on holiday.
🤗❤️👍💯
Thank you 👍
@@andysgaragediecastrestorations welcome dear Andy and thank You so much for the great video 📸
Good haul mate
Cheers Graham. It was a great day out. You always come away wishing you had bought that one model you were unsure about buying though. That’s life 😂
@@andysgaragediecastrestorations I know what u mean. We only got one swap met here in Brisbane Australia. Every 6 weeks, it is $5 per person just have a look. I don't know what they charge the people with a table. But a lot of prices are very high, but I can always find a couple of bargains. I think a good coin entre would attract more people through the doors.
@@theaussienurseflipper.8113 At a car boot here it is £2 a car to get in normally. I think it was a fiver at the show. I know stall holders are paying up to £10 at car boots but at toy fairs I bet it is £30-40. They have to pay all the other costs eg fuel . So probably have to sell 3 or 4 models to break even. We were lucky that day a few sellers seemed to just want their wreckers gone.
4:53 it looks like a Morris Commercial
Thank you Ian 👍
The Superior Ambulance is based on a 1961 Pontiac
Thank you for the information. I didn’t know that. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
