The Plymouth Sports Suburban Corgi Toy seems an odd scale compared to the Rolls Royce, and even the Olds Toronado - I doubt it is 1:43, but they were smaller than you’d expect: there is one painted in Corgi colours, bizarrely, in the Sharjah Old Cars Museum and the roof didn’t even come up to my shoulder! The Dinky 1100 looks to be a nice challenging project with a huge contrast between ‘before’ and what after will look like.. and if the Corgi Toronado doesn’t restore, the wheels will do nicely. Maybe on the Thames? Nice Oxford, and a cracking spraying setup. Good start to the New Year!
