Congrats on the renos. Looks amazing! A bit concerning hearing you're unsure about exact costs though. That $50K variance alone represents a 16.6%+ spread. Assuming that real estate comps generally use more data points like similar square footage, no. of bedrooms/bathrooms, area/neighborhoods, recent sales etc. - estimating a valuation of $1.8M versus a comparable in an apartment building that's also zoned for AirBnB in this context is borderline "trust me bro" territory. But I don't know your market so I'm rooting for you. Enjoyed the vid and I hope you make lots on it either way!

Just comparing that to a $1.8M home in the States, it's lacking tremendously in size. Your head is almost touching the ceiling. For north of $1M ceilings need to be 12ft or higher.

How could this guy say such a lie about the architecture in the US? For God's sake, don't say things to get views or clicks. The houses I have seen in South Florida are at another level. 10% of Colombia might look like 1st world but the majority of the country does look 3rd world. I was born in Colombia and lived there until 22 and I have been living in the states for 26 years. I can easily compare both worlds because I know them very well. The cost of living works for those that earn in USD and Euros. That's not the reality for those that earn COP. The majority of people in Colombia earn between 2 million COP and 2.5 million COP and even less. That's around $600 USD and it could be less than that.

This apartment without the view, on average, in the US would be more like $3k. Add a view that's comparably stunning and you're at least doubling that. I live in Missouri and rent is below average here. There apartment in my city would be in the $2k-2.5k but no great view
