Two things about this episode. One, those airbender kids were DUMB. Aang finding out hes the avatar changed absolutely nothing, yet they think playing a game with him will be unfair for whomever plays against him. Thats their reasoning. You're telling me that him being the ONLY master airbender at their age mattered less to them than him discovering he was the avatar? Please. Second thing, I LOVE the parallels between Aang and Zuko here. Aang began his story with an act of selfishness. Zuko, by contrast, began his with an act of compassion. This episode is also where you start to realize that perhaps Zuko never was truly a villain, but a victim.

Okay, so basically to become a master airbender, you must master all 25 (i believe) airbending forms. Aang had mastered 24 of them, and the he invented the air scooter. That earned him his master rank.

I never liked the Lion turtle stuff, too Deus Ex Machina and just letting Aang have his cake and eat it too. Everything else in the final is great.

I'd love for you to watch and react to The Legend of Korra. You're the best kind of person to do so, because you have great intuition and genuine interest. A lot of people prefer ATLA to LOK, but in my opinion, LOK holds its own and I love how it expands the world. As long as you are open to it and view it as a separate story to ATLA, then you'll enjoy it immensely. You should totally react to it on here, we'll wait! 😊👍

The way that I interpreted the lion-turtle was that someone who is' pure of heart' can do something "bad" and not be afflicted by it. like even though avatar aang wouldnt kill firelord ozai,, he still _could_ and not completely give up his kind of inherent 'goodness'.

Alot of the use of the Avatar state is not to be more powerful. As we know the Avatar state is mega powerful. However the Avatar permanently dies if killed in Avatar state. So i think they enter the Avatar state to access there knowledge and learn different moves and techniques. Then exit the Avatar state and do it. Like when Aang in the end access it then turns it off before stopping the fires and grounding the fire nation ships.

I would have liked seeing blood bending used for good. Well as good as it can be anyway.

I timed this really well, (or rather RUclips did), I just found your videos and watched the show in the last week. Your reactions were amazing! So honest and great, and honestly, your memory? How do you do that :D You had great insights, and a great laugh at the funny parts. For me, Korra was not that good, at least I started watching it and I couldn't get through the first season. Many people say it gets better, but IDK. I would honestly watch you watch Atla for the second time around :D Just as you said, to see which details you spot that you missed for the first time. Or at least one reaction vid per season, haha. What do you think about doing some movie reactions? That might work better with your hectic schedule. I am kind of tempted to suggest you watch the atla movie, but I don't wish that travesty on you. But if you are looking for a series that is both funny and with a good story, I can't recommend Ghosts (BBC) enough. It also has short episodes, and I've never seen anyone react to it on youTube and I think you would have a blast with it.

I love the music under the Last Agni Kai so much! It could be triumphant. Azula in many ways feels more of an enemy than the firelord, seeing as we saw her more, and we are rooting for Zuko. I know when I was first watching it, I was way more invested in this fight. But it isn't. It is tragic, because it is two siblings who had been formed and abused by their monster of a father, and Azula is just 14, she was groomed into a monster, and here she is already crumbling. The fight between the firelord and Aand was "meant to be". This fight should never have happened.

It's probably not Roku's crown, after all that was lost in the volcano. Iroh used to be the crown prince, before his birthright got stolen, and if his son lived, the little crown would have gone to him. By giving this crown to Zuko, Iroh is giving him a chance to be the heir of the "original line" and not of his abusive father's. It is also another sign of how much he sees Zuko as his own son

this series is sooooo good at giving every little detail some significance. Like you pointed out the energy connection thingy that Aang learnt in the swamp, and here it is being used again. It gives the whole world such a real feel

As you are pointing out that for Kyoshi Air would have been difficult, it jumped into my mind that Kyoshi' (and consequently her warriors') staple is a fan. Which is a tool used to move air. Maybe to help her concentrate moving an element that is so hard to grasp compared to earth

I agree that if you are visiting a culture, you have to respect it, even if it seems backwards to you. Like muslim women covering themselves might seem sexist for a casual observer, but you still shouldn't rip their scarves off. If you want to challange a culture's ways, at least try to understand why they are like that in the first place. The interesting twist here is that in her own culture, learning waterbending would have been appropriate for Katara, but is a part of her culture that was solen from her by the fire nation, and this is her only chance at accessing part of her own heritage, so it is much less clear-cut. Is it wrong for her to practice part of her heritage? Atla does a lot in challenging the line between heritage and progress and I think it does a good job at showing the many nuances of that discussion

You should look up ALL the comic books of Avatar. They explain what happened inbetween episodes, what happened to Zuko's mother and way more. They are very good and enjoyable! All the answers are there. Have fun! Loved your reactions. I have personally never been able to get into Korra. Not that its not good and its written by different people, for me its the time setting. But if you want to watch the series you definitely should! Because i hope im able to watch it someday as well. Its good in its own way. I tried it 5 times but i just couldnt. I hope you can!
