No one thought that. But the point wasn't to establish allies for war. It was the Avatar's journey. Traveling the world and learning about all the people and their problems.
Plus Azula would have told Ozai about the eclipse, but they wouldn't have bothered about random disposable fire nation soldiers. They didn't even tell them they would have no power. Or got a non-bending unit there
Yeah the one plot hole I never understood was why the earth king wouldn’t mention to the gang that he spoiled the plan to Azula when they all escaped Ba Sing Se on Appa. He knew the Kyoshi warriors were imposters, and that the invasion was a major military decision. Maybe he’s just that dumb idk lol
To be fair, there were a ton of things going on that day, and with the fall of the Earth Kingdom, the Earth King may have simply assumed, incorrectly, that the invasion plan was called off entirely, making the fact that he'd inadvertently warned Azula of it irrelevant. He's notably not involved in the modified plan at all and went AWOL at the start of the season too, so any hope of a warning was thrown out the window then. But yeah - it was still a dumb move to not tell them about his mistake, irrelevant or not. He's not the smartest guy, sure, but that's a huge mistake.
that king lived his whole life not knowing about the war and being used as a pawn. He probably doesn't have very good strategic skills. What kind of leader says upon finding out that his nation is on the brink of being overtaken "lol, I'll just go be a turist"?
Of course there’s no one in the Fire Nation Palace because the idiot of an Earth King told Azula when they were disguised as the Kyoshi Warriors about the whole plan. What really grinds my gear is he didn’t tell them before he travelled the world with Bosco.
well, in his defense he didn’t know the kyoshi warriors, so he had no way of knowing they weren’t the real ones, and sokka told him they were really trustworthy. but yeah, i also can’t seem to understand how he didn’t think it was worth mentioning he told the whole thing to azula :/
That half hour flew by. I thought maybe you had done Parts 1 & 2 as one video, but then all of a sudden I was at the end of the video. During this watch, I was thinking, "God, I love Zuko and Sokka." The amazing thing about that is that I love Katara, Aang, and Iroh even more. Anyone who enjoys Avatar deserves a good fate. They deserve to watch Avatar.
To answer one of your questions; regarding how Hakoda and the invasion forces knew about those openings their subs went through: Well, I've always thought that, at some point after setting up the invasion plan, Hakoda sent spies to learn about what kind of defenses were waiting for them. And probably some of those spies were Waterbenders (from the Northern Water Tribe, since Katara is the only one in the Southern Water Tribe), who could bend water around themselves and walk on the bottom of the ocean (like Katara did for herself and the GAang, in "The Serpent's Pass" episode of Book 2), thus remaining undetected by the Fire Nation guards, and those spies were the ones who found out about the openings and informed Hakoda and the rest of the invasion about them.
i'm honestly super impressed you immediately remembered that azula got told by the earth king, i totally forgot and a lot of people i've seen haven't immediately realized either ! 80
Public speaking does come naturally to some people, but it can be learned, or at the very least you can get used to it. It takes confidence in both yourself as someone who will be able to deal with whatever may happen in a somewhat graceful manner, but most importantly confidence in your knowledge of, or passion for, whatever you're talking about. Even the most shy kids will talk for minutes on end if you get them started on a topic they like
Watching The Day of Black Sun was like watching the last season of Clone Wars You knew as a viewer that it some how won’t end well but that didn’t make seeing it any less awesome
Bro hope we don't have to wait too long for part 2 🥺
This is the episode where you realise that all those random villages and places we stopped along the way weren't really filler hahahaha
No one thought that. But the point wasn't to establish allies for war. It was the Avatar's journey. Traveling the world and learning about all the people and their problems.
@@Itsant33 a lot of people do brush the early season 3 episodes off as filler. I don’t get it 😅
About the army guarding an empty palace, it’s actually an effective strategy to delay the invasion so they can’t take full advantage of the eclipse.
Plus Azula would have told Ozai about the eclipse, but they wouldn't have bothered about random disposable fire nation soldiers. They didn't even tell them they would have no power. Or got a non-bending unit there
15:29 Your reaction to that kiss. I love it!
Fun fact: the female prison guard Ming is voiced by the tennis champion Serena Williams, a big fan of the show.
