Avatar The Last Airbender Reaction 3X3 "The Painted Lady"
it’s often theorized that the reason the painted lady wasn’t there to help the villagers before was because she lost the connection to the village due to the pollution
I love that you caught that kataang moment where she trusted him with her life, it's like my favorite underrated moment between them 🔥
Same here!
Yeeees
I love your discourse about Kataang's trust in each other! 😭 You were spot-on there!! Homegirl didn't even flinch.
One thing I realised I like about this episode is it feels like a resolution to the Zuko Alone episode. It isn't the same village or the same people, but it's still people coming in, helping change things and being blamed for hiding who they are, and yet Zuko is chased out of town whereas as Katara is forgiven. Just a lovely little hark back to series 2 in a way that feels satisfying.
You are one of the very few Reactors who caught Momo licking Appa's Tongue.
I thought that Aang came a long way here because the LAST time Aang was helping with an elaborate plan to help Katara pretend to be someone she isn’t, Aang wasn’t paying enough attention and she had to tell EARTHBENDING STYLE twice lol
Basically, the painted lady was the river spirit and when the river got polluted she kind of "got locked away" or "imprisoned". By cleaning the river, Katara freed her!
The owl was also a Spirit
Yeah, and technically Yue in 3x1 when she talks with Aang in the middle of the ocean, though she wasn't a new spirit by then.
Loving all the uploads lately bro you’ve been blessing us 🔥🤟🤟
Wan Shi Tong is a spirit... that big owl in the library...
Cant wait for THE PUPPETMASTERRRRR Episodee
Don't blame the victim, blame the abuser, in the case at the time Jet. He manipulated her, he actually had a very wrong attitude, but seeing the context of his past, and also showing that he has changed. Even he had redemption. Katara doesn't deserve yours? Haha 🌊🌊🌊
(Emoticon without any context🐀)
I love your channel😊
Hmm maybe she does... maybe it is time for me to move on.... nah who am I kidding. I will never forget😂 lol but will all seriousness, I love her character development. I mean we saw alot of it in the episode of the prison and many others This episode kept building on that.
Hei Bai
The Face Stealer
The Moon and Sea koi fish spirits.
Yue the moon spirit (We even saw her again the first episode of season 3)
Wan Shi Tong
The Painted Lady
We have certainly seen more spirits than only "the panda".
oh dang i forgot about the owl. Thanks for the reminder. Also, yue, i know we saw her in the first episode of this season, but is she an actual spirit? I forget if she turned into one, or just gave her life so that the acutal spirit could live on in her stead. Im still not so clear with her. But it too would make sense for her to become a spirit herself.
@@lostcausein-laws4748 Yeah i’d count Yue since she technically became the moon spirit
Thanks for 2 videos within 2 days
Wooow a double update! Love it!
Nice reacción continúe whit this reacción of the serie
I really like this episode.
It shows character development for Katara and shows what kind of person she is.
Sokka has a good point and i dont disagree with him, but this village was starving. You see that the firenation cares more about the war and such then their people. If Katara didnt do anything they would all have died.
- The painted lady is a real (river) spirit. But because the river was polluted she couldnt do anything, by cleaning the river she was freed. So she was thanking Katara for helping the people and for "setting her free".
Yes, that is the Pandas name.
There was the Owl in the library
"katara did turn her back on [sokka] when she met jet."
no, she didn't, and that comment is completely out of line. sokka has always been skeptical of everyone, including haru and aang. *three* different times sokka rejected aang in the pilot episode. katara is not obliged to go along with sokka on every one one of his paranoid delusions, thank goodness. katara believes that everyone deserves a chance, and in order to be both herself and sokka's sister, she has to discount some of what sokka says. it's the right compromise for everyone involved.
Lol why are you so mad?... Why is my comment out of line? I said what I felt. And I felt like katara was wrong for choosing jets side without knowing him at all. I dont hate her at all for it... Es mas, its part of her character development. I was just saying I didn't like her attitude towards sokka in that episode. Sokka too has had his times where he has to mature and fix his attitude towards others (for example with the kyoshi warriors) But what katara did to him could have very easily cost him his life. I mean, Jet was easily willing to sacrifice all those people, why wouldn't he do the same with sokka?
@@lostcausein-laws4748
you're letting your perfect knowledge cloud your judgment of the situation. as far as katara knew, sokka was doing exactly the same thing he did when he accused aang of intentionally signaling the fire navy. if katara were as deferential to her brother as you want her to be, they would have successfully driven aang out of town, there would be no show, and the fire nation would win the war. not to mention, katara shouldn't have to betray herself and her own beliefs and her own judgment in service of her brother. that's wrong on all kinds of levels. no, _jet_ was not an example of katara needing to mature. she didn't learn anything from it, and didn't need to. her dynamic with her brother was not only the same in the series premier, before _jet_ happened, but also in _the fortune teller_ afterwards.
Lol you got way too mad over this chill out
Katara comes from the point of view of the mother of the group. If someone needs help, and she has the ability to do so, all instincts drive her to do it.
Sokka is more the warrior. More pragmatic about how and when to provide aid. But will always jump to action if its his people (family/friends/tribe) that need help.
Im glad they didnt paint them into "the boy and the girl," or "the one who cares, and the one who only cares about himself," corners. They made it interesting, and not just dumb arbitrary opposites (obviously pretending the Great Divide didnt happen).
Yeah boiiiii
We see yui in season 3 episode 1 when aang runs away
for me this is the weakest episode of this season. this does not mean that it is a bad episode, but that all the others are better. especially starting from the next ep until the end. so hyped for your reactions :D
There is one that takes the cake for me of being the weakest.
@@horsegirl19951 I just hope you don't mean the ember island players.
@@Cera3 Oh no! I mean 3x9. I can’t say why this is the weakest for spoilers.
I can’t wait for the next episode, especially one particular scene at the end!
This episode is a great example of moral ambiguity
Nice video!
WHAT?!? Even though this is my least favorite episode of the season, I'm so excited for all of these uploads!!
Make sure you read the comics after the series. FOR SOME REASON NO ONE DOES THAT. Sorry for the caps.
There's comics?
@@lostcausein-laws4748 Yeah after series I won't spoil them but they are very intresting.
@@lostcausein-laws4748 And no body reads them so you should read them after the series is over.
