You'll need both. There are spots the pad can't get into.
Very true, but for big flat areas like door cards and door sills the brushes are pointless, especially if they're those ultrasoft ones.
I ordered some wash plus. I want to read clear my vehicle. I tried to sand and polish it but it looks bad with lots of white Haze, so I'm hoping to get off all the haze and then resand.
Given your problem, are you expecting Wash+ to help solve that? Or just to help you strip it all off?
@SuperchargedLlama I want to strip it all off so I can sand and re- clear it.
@bbsal4031 the sanding would be sufficient without the wash plus, but it certainly won't hurt to do that stage too 👍
@@SuperchargedLlama cool, thank you 👍
Hey just going Off topic a little , Did you do a normal A2 licence or did you / or can do a full A2 licence full auto ? Looking to get a Honda Rebel ( like yours the DCT ) Thank you darling
I did a direct access full manual license. I just happen to like riding a DCT due to a dodgy left knee that I only discovered riding a manual bike. I had an CRF1000L Africa Twin DCT which was good, then went to a manual VFR800F, which wasn't as bad at aggravating the knee as the CB500X I started on was.
Good review I agree with about 2 months on a daily driven car ,Squid ink do a good plastic dressing I’ve been very impressed with there products .
I mentioned the squidink one at the end as an alternative, I'll definitely give that a go when I've used this up...which will be a while as a little seems to go a very long way!
Sorry mate didn’t watch the end bit 😂
Super helpful…. Heading to in2detailing now ;)
Apparently the Kaimazib product is much more effective when combining it with the Mini version of their elegance pad.
It seems plenty effective enough already to be honest - I could have rubbed it in more here, which I now do. It's a mighty product.
Spot on! Plastics contain oils in varying amounts and types, it's not surprising that products can't adhere to some. Also physical abrasion takes it's toll. I put a cheapie trim dressing on a sheltered trim on the car and it's still going strong but a fancy trim dressing can only last a month if it's hit by rain at speed etc. Keep the videos coming please, your take on products and their use is interesting and informative.
It'll be interesting to see how a full ceramic dressing lasts, won't it? I think for an easy to apply product, this has done really well compared to some of the other options in the market, it seems to "drop off" fairly consistently too, which is nice. I don't ever seem to get streaking from it which is almost a reason to use it in and of itself! So many other ones look terrible after the lightest bit of rain.
@SuperchargedLlama Yes, you are right, some products can streak or need multiple coats...and still fail early. All the best.
Off Topic: What kind of durability do you see from Infinity Wax Supergloss+ Spray Wax? I have a bottle on the way and the paste wax too.
I'm not sure actually, I've put it on my mum's car in October but I haven't really seen the car since (always been dark). It's garaged but driven multiple times a week so I might be able to get some sort of answer. I think my dad has washed it a few times since so I'd imagine it's gone now.
@@SuperchargedLlama oh, i thought i read somewhere how you thought it was very effective...the spray wax..losing it lol
up to 3 months i get on my daily driver in Scotland with it.
It's always really nice to hear from other people who've used it and has similar sorts of experiences to me. It validates my findings!
Interesting review, quite possibly something I might try.Very nice bike too 😎
It's a great product, if you're not going down the ceramic route then this is an absolute breeze to apply and really durable. It's one of those ones I'd recommend and know most people will get on with it. As for the bike... it's alright 😅 I miss my previous one as it was a VFR800F, but this does the job and I'm just pleased to have one.
Someone filming on a pocket 3? Great footage dude
I got an Osmo Mobile 6 in the Black Friday sales, I was thinking about getting a pocket but it's so much cheaper with a mobile gimbal (plus you get to use your phone's camera). Working out how to use it when it's useful and leaving it out when it isn't... that's the tricky but!
Nice one, Adrian. I've got the infinity Wax plastic wax, o personally rate that and, in my use, I also get a couple of months and that is also very easy to use.
That's got a bit of dye in it as well, hasn't it? It does get great results from when I've seen other people post about it.
@SuperchargedLlama Honestly couldn't tell you what's in it 🤪 but it definitely works for me but there is always room for another product 😀
I kind of wished I'd bought that now. I tried Raceglaze Colour Enhance. Lovely product, lasts well, but its so gloopy that it doesn't spread well. Great on Mini style wheel arches. Right pain in more intricate areas like grilles and honeycomb effect platics. Looks like a 4yr old was involved. Thanks for the info. I tend to buy whatever you recommend, so no doubt I'll get this one day. Sigma v3 is a firm favourite
I've not used that one - there's so many products out there aren't there? I reckon I could put this in an airbrush to do the intricate areas...which has given me an idea for a future video!
@SuperchargedLlama go for it. Sounds like a good idea
Llama back with another gem 👌 I'm looking for a good interior qd that can be used on leather steering wheel as well? 🤔
Thank you darling! I really like infinity Wax interior QD actually, but ONR and garage Therapy Rinseless both do really well.
Thanks Adrian, will go for the infinity wax coz it's handy from Halfords now 👍
Very Nice review. So 1:4 on the wheels you would of used 800ml water to 200ml water is this corrrect
That's right 👍
@SuperchargedLlama Really helpful video going to use this dilution on my last wash to dissolve the road salt
@tripsingh3642 is that just on the wheels? That should be okay - if you're going for the paint then I find 1:30 is usually more than enough, anymore than that and it could damage the trims. Wheels are fine at 1:4 though.
@@SuperchargedLlama Thanks for confirming really appreciate the help 👍 It will just be the wheels only and the wheel arch lip, as of the snowfoam I have 3 litres worth of Autofoam I still have to use but I've been slightly more impressed with Autoglanz Spritzer this is the only citrus based cleaner that works I have found valet pro citrus is a complete waste of money, its just I use less product but cleans well
@@tripsingh3642 VP citrus is absolutely rubbish isn't it! AutoFoam is sublime though, yeah Vb is marginally better but you have to have a completely ditched car to be able to see the difference on the paint.
That's a car wash not a detail.
True. Not according to Americans though!
BH Touchless and their Surfex HD APC are just brilliant. And great value, which makes them unbeatable.
An so concentrated too! I prefer Koch Chemie Greenstar as an APC that I can use everywhere as it doesn't leave any residue behind or gunk up my triggers (Surfex doesn't do it so much if you use distilled or DI water), which makes it better for exterior cleaning....but I've still got so much Surfex that I'll be using that for ages anyway, Greenstar just on the interior if needed.
Strong enough for a one stage contactless wash with careful pressure washing?
It could be. My go to for that at the moment is Koch Chemie Vb, but this got it so clean that I reckon you could get away with it. Something you couldn't say with GT Snow V2
@SuperchargedLlama Yeah, I've seen that video with Vb but since it's very alkaline Im worried it might leave some of that white film/lines on my black car, I dont think touchless would do that at all.
@Cypress_green Touch-Less is also a strong alkaline, but it isn't caustic (it's also not as strong alkaline as Vb, I think it's about pH 12?)
Wonder if it fits an AVA?
It won't as it's a different connector, but they also have an under chassis lance too I believe.
Top little add-on there. Worx do a similar one for their Hydroshot and i wouldn't be without it
More useful than you'd expect, right?
hey man, have you ever tried greenstar in the snow foam lance? im wondering how Gs would compare to Vb
I have, but not on film. I did try it here mixed with GSF as they suggest ruclips.net/video/_Qeg-fORPr0/видео.html I've found GS works alright, but Vb is far more powerful (as it should be, given that it's mildly caustic) - Vb isn't something you'd need every wash though, it's for really dirty cars.
@@SuperchargedLlama thanks for getting back to me on such an old video. appreciate it!
Do you have an updated code? I missed out 😔
Unfortunately you've missed out and the promotion has ended.
Tfr's definitely have their place, but not for me. I went on a road trip and the car was super filthy. Used Tesco jetwash and their tfr killed 1 month old Stjarnagloss Parla completely. Lesson learnt. These are powerful chemicals
@@pigeonpoo1823 I have a feeling this is more like Decon Shampoo and Koch Chemie Vb at this point, but I need to find out more 🤙
I would be keen to know this as well
Touch-Less won't be able to do what a caustic TFR like this can do on really bad traffic film IF the instructions let you up the dilution. This only has instructions for 1:10 max, and at that ratio, compared to Touch-Less at 2% PIR then I think the Touch-Less would win out (because this, in my setup, at 1:10 is about 0.6% PIR for the iFoam Max). It was mega effective though, given such a weak dilution.
So Thankyou for your detailed message really appreciated 🙏 I am going to order bottle soon and give it a go, I wanted to say Happy New Year to You and Your Family Thanks once again
How would you say this performs again touchless
Me too! If you run Vb at it's max strength it beats Touch-Less, but what I don't get here is that the max strength of the iFoam Max is as I've used it here (1:10 in the bottle), I'm trying to find out from them if I can safely run it stronger.
Excellent review. I like the Easy model but when I looked at in B&Q the hose just seems far to keen to coil back on it's self when fully unwound. Perhaps its better with water pressure inside. Like the look of Evolution model but it's a lot heavier and more expensive.
That definitely happens! Less so in the summer when it's warmer, but it definitely happens in the winter. You can, I believe, fit the steel reinforced hose if you fancied.
Hi. Is the S20 safe on rubber trims? Or if hit black plastics ( mirrors mounting triangels... ) ? Or its better use masking tape?
It's best to use masking tape. The seals it will largely come off from, but the trim is hot and miss, even if you wipe down with a Rinseless like Feynlab Pure Rinseless/Garage Therapy Rinseless, or a panel wipe.
@SuperchargedLlama thank you. Have you ever use DodoJuice LimePrime Plus? To compare it with medium- one step compouds like S20black for lite corrections. I like LP plus becouse its safe for every purpluse ( without white marks on rubber, plastics..) for lite correction. I would like to know if DJ LPrime plus is little bit competitor for something like scholl S20 or similliar medium P2000grid onestepers.
@zzo28 I haven't used LimePrime Plus, but I can say that you should reach out to The Hairy Housewife as he's well versed on dodo Juice products (works for them now actually) and he'll be able to give you a much better answer than I'd be able to.
@@SuperchargedLlama Thank you.
@@SuperchargedLlama I will try both on bonnet after winter. Have ordered scholl navy spider pad for my extremly hard flat black benz.
Hi Adrian, looking to get some Tar remover do you have any favourites / opinions. Best wishes for the new year.
Autosmart TARDIS is really good, but hard to get hold of as a domestic used (although there's plenty on eBay...5L might be too much!). Detail Bug's one is really good, but I really like Koch Chemie Tea - www.in2detailing.co.uk/products/koch-chemie-teerwasche-a-tea-tar-glue-remover?variant=40497410867279&ghref=3377%3A373130
@@SuperchargedLlama Excellent, thanks.
Can you give me a bit of advice. I’m looking for a pressure washer I’ve narrowed it down to 2. either the Nilfisk 140 or the Ava easy p50. Not too worried about the hose length or accessories.
Hmmmmm I'd probably go for the Nilfisk as they're more reliable I think, by reputation at least. Buuuuuut I really would consider the hose lengths and accessories here, 12m Vs 6m is a huge difference. And that little stubby gun that Ava do is really very good. Why aren't you too bothered about those bits? Reliability Vs usability is such a balancing act isn't it? The Core 150 has a 10m hose, I'd be going for that personally, but it's more money again of course.
@ I will rethink my decision about accessories now. I was basing it more off of flow rate and cleaning power
@lewisnewman3443 that's a fair bit to be looking at, it's important for sure. The issue I run into is that with a 6m hose you have to move the machine around a lot. Where are you thinking of getting it from btw? I can see the P50 is at B&Q for £189 without all the bundled kit, or £269 direct from Ava but with the XL bundle and loads of accessories
@@SuperchargedLlama I was looking at B&Q for both. I was thinking of getting a longer hose and a stubby gun for the Nilfisk
@lewisnewman3443 I can't remember if you can change the hose on that built in reel for the Nilfisk, but I imagine you must be able to and then that would be an absolute banger!
Did you ever try to mix gsf with VB to make a less powerful prefoam. When you lower VB in foamlance below certain amount you won't get good foam. Or even to mix them both for a slightly stronger contact wash .... Does this make sense ? I want a safe prewash on my car that I can use every week or every other week, but I want it to be safe. In winter I want a little more bite. So I will try mixing 100ml koch chemie AF and 30ml VB in 1000ml foam lance. this way you have +- 1/100 AF and 1/300 VB. in this dilution they are VBA class A certified. which is important to me. I have a Mazda with thin Clearcoat. (around 50 micron). Using strong products every wash can't be that good ..... do you think those high PH pre-washes do something to your clear coat over time? I will get back to you with my results. I frequently use GSF or AF (contact and prewash) and VB (prewash on more dirt). Hope 30ml of VB will do something? KC has guidelines about adding 30ml of greenstar to GSF as a prewash, but we both know its useless.... Maybe VB is different.
I didn't try mixing Vb with anything to be honest, as it's so strong and mildly caustic, I only want to use that in circumstances where that aggressiveness is required. If you want to boost GSF then add Greenstar as per their instructions, that's the safest way to give it some more bite. I will say that I didn't find that super effective, but I've seen people applying GS first via a pump sprayer, and then put GSF over the top of it and that's made a much bigger impact. HTH dude.
@@SuperchargedLlamaok. So you don't use this every two weeks during winter ? I am also concerned about causticity. I am sure my clearcoat had diminished over 1 year and I didn't polish. It's garage kept at home and at work. What's you opinion about biltbhamber touchless being non caustic.... I did the test with AF mixed with VB. Didn't see a difference with AF on its own. Cheers
@sebastienderidder5418 oh definitely not for regular washes, VB is for deep cleaning. 30ml added to AF would be such a small amount that it wouldn't make a difference in a foam lance. Touch-Less though, wow! I've got a video on that too, check it out 🤙
@@SuperchargedLlama I understand its not for regular washes, but in winter there is so much traffic film/grime on the side of my car. A regular snow foam doesn't do much... its a Mazda mx5 (low car), so I have traffic film/grime till right under my car window. Half my door panel is embedded with heavy grime, where as normal cars only have this on the side skirts. I live in Belgium so the weather is as bad as where you live 😄 I will give Touche-less a try...
@sebastienderidder5418 I feel ya! Vb is still probably more than you need, but Koch Chemie Super Foam could be perfect...not sure on the costs to you locally, or whether you also suffer from the fact that it's only available in 10L? You're right about regular snow foams that are pH neutral (or near) just don't have enough bite. Touch-Less should be better, but you could definitely go with the GS at 1:10 in a pump sprayer first if you didn't want to get ANOTHER product. AutoFoam from Bilt Hamber is definitely great on traffic film, you don't need to run it at a maximum 4% PIR to get great effectiveness either, 3% is brilliant too.
As I was watching your video, I notice the small building you use for an office. Which company manufactured it?
Lugarde - really pleased with it and would recommend. It's L shaped, part of it is the office, the other part is the shed.
I was going to try some incinerate v2 but have you seen ocd's recently video on it? I just watched it thinking he'd really like it but he wasn't impressed with it at all, I think he actually thought it was rubbish. Any idea what went wrong there? Interestingly, there were a number of comments that say v1 was better than v2. So, now I'm unsure...
Let me go and watch it.
Just watched it dude. I think he used it wrong or had unrealistic expectations for what it could do at 1:10. Those wheels were absolutely trashed. If you used it neat and the rinsed it off, then went and did a contact wash with a fresh application (neat again if you wanted, or 1:4) and you'd have much more success.
@@SuperchargedLlama OK so you're pretty confident its one of the best wheel cleaners (without fallout remover in it) still, right? I'll keep an eye out for it when there's a sale if so. I wasn't sure what to make of that video as he wasn't pleased with it at all and said he's already given it away... Just help me understand how to best use it, lets assume I clean my car once a month. I believe it is a strong product, so 1:10 is the normal useage ratio? If the wheels are really bad then use it neat? Don't suppose you doing a video on it is a possibility at all to show us what it can do on wheels and tyres? There doesn't seem to be any V2 vids out there. Thanks dude!
I think it's trial and error tbh but if you're cleaning monthly then I reckon 1:10 would be okay, it just depends on mileage etc. If you watch this one, the first bit is all wheel cleaning and I use V2 for that, it does a brilliant job near. ruclips.net/video/RkoRHZ3OpBA/видео.htmlsi=JOg3LtMKtAd7jn_s However, for monthly cleans i would just use Auto-wheel really.
@@SuperchargedLlama OK cool looks to perform better in that video. On the IW ad it looked like it just melts away dirt so I might take that with a pinch of salt. I'm still a bit stuck though and I know I've asked you this before fairly recently but if I've got Forst X, or will buy greenstar once that shortly finishes, then should I bother with incinerate or any other non fallout wheel cleaner? Would you? Do you have incinerate in your arsenal? I'm not sure what to do and if it'll add any value other than purely trying something new.
Lush!
Thank you! It came up so well, didn't it?
You compared the wrong product , use the Bilt hamber touch less instead of autofoam
No I didn't, the 2% PIR Touch-Less didn't exist when I made this, and AutoFoam out performs Touch-Less 5% on more types of dirt. Go and watch this one ruclips.net/video/s9dCYJcYHaQ/видео.htmlsi=fznGbE7K25Wfk56F
❤
The bilthamber touchless is way better then auto foam
That really depends on the dirt you're cleaning off. If it's really grimey motorway mileage then I always find AutoFoam cleans off more than Touch-Less did. That was with the 5% PIR version, for the sake of clarity. I found that AutoFoam cleaned a bit better than Garage Therapy Snow V2 in some situations too (when I ran the latter at 3% PIR), there are some types of dirt that it just does a better job of, but if you clean your car regularly then you'll never really see the difference, and there are definitely cases where Touch-Less cleans better - especially when it's more like actual dirt rather than grime.
and ceramic coating should last few years atleast
It's not always the case when it's on plastic headlights, it might be best to use a trim ceramic actually. This did work well though, I think we got a year out of it, but that's purely down to the coating used.
Gotcha,I just restored my clody headlight like that, and then one that looked like new looked like shit so I did both in the end. Ceramic coated with a 3 year graphene coating. Whats best in my opinion is that you can easialy polish coating off in say a year and reapply to keep constant protection on there. 800 1500 2000 2500 3000 compound and polish and coating and headlights look awesome, beside the billion dings(which feel smooth so probably unrestorable)
Really interesting watch and handy tips with the cotton pads , look forward to seeing more results 🔥
Me too! Last wash it looked like there had been some degredation on the Synergy 2 but I really need to check again... haven't had a chance to wash the car for ages again!
Great video some handy products being used 👍🔥
I think that chemical guys waterspot remover is the only good product they make...but holy crap is it good!
U have ava easy i see. I like its lightweight and offering variety of spreads. You end up using nilfisk or ava? I know nilfisk is good built but just too limited compared to Ava
I've got both but I use the P200 the most because it's so powerful, but also the 15m steel reinforced hose is a lot nicer than the 12m Flexi one on the Ava. And with this mod I have all the accessories I want on the P200. ruclips.net/video/SRZ-gRrFTxs/видео.htmlsi=DvzhXhffa4Ez2yRc
Fenylab is surfactant heavy, Its great for slightly oily surfaces or slightly dirty levels. Interesting to know more about Garage therapy. It's starting to engage my interest. GT have made the dosing to appeal to the US market. UK market is small in comparison to the growing US. Doesn't 60°C ruin microfibers? Tbh I've not ever gone passed 40°C. Labocosmetica Idrosave is a really nice rinse-less to use if your looking for a wash and seal without using up your time. Amour detail supplies Hero is the one I use the most as its more polymer based but the surfactants are good and they vape out easily. Good panel by panel in the sun. Polymer spots mop up easily too. It's a fantastic rinse-less wash if you've not tried it 👍 There's always room for a different type of rinse-less like this in my cupboard
I think GT are looking to launch in the US in '25 I believe, so you may well be in luck! Absolutely brilliant products to use, I think you'll like them. I do really like Feynlab Rinseless though, that level of surfactants makes it really good at Rinseless Washing something that's more than just dusty, which seems to be the case most of the time in the UK. You've piqued my interest on the Armour stuff there though, I think we can get that so shall give it a punt! With regards to washing the cloths at 60 - I've not had any issues yet. I never tumble them on high of course.
@SuperchargedLlama OK 60°C is good to know. I don't wanna mess up my drying towel when using Labocosmetica Idrosave rinseless wash. Armour is great- Pilot is a good interior detailer, like Carpro inner QD. I've just bought Ghost which is an outstanding long lasting tyre sealant that dries to the touch, giving you hydrophobic properties that last 3-6 months. Although the satin finish (1layer) or glazed doughnut finish (2-3 layers) comes off after 2-3 months but then 1 layer to top up the gloss level- the protection simply sits there underneath still. Their glass coating is good. Wheel cleaner is exceptional- buy it in the gallon format as its more cost effective to the average wheel cleaner. It has iron removing chemistry too. Armour detail supplies is a good brand but it's expensive. It does work well though. Hero is an outstanding rinseless wash. 🙌
@79blustone I feel like I'm going to have to get in on some that action! If you get Garage Therapy at some point I can also recommend Tyre Serum - it's not a dressing as such, more a conditioner and it leaves a lovely factory fresh, new rubber look.
Great transformation on that filthy Tesla. Your detailed narration on this video is well done. Keep uploading your informative content.
Thank you darling!
Im looking for a good pre wash to clean tractors and especially grease and oils... Would Vb get the job done or should i go the degreaser way thats way way more harsh on paint?
Hmmmmm interesting. When you're doing tractors, do you blast the much off first and then foam? Or do you go straight in with the pre-wash? I'd imagine the latter, which I probably would. I tell you what I'd try first, Bilt Hamber Touch-Less - the sugar based surfactants do something with breaking the bonds between the dirt and it falls off. You can buy 1L to try it out, you use it at 2% PIR, I'd say that's absolutely ideal for this activity.
Great product information as always - cheers. Interesting that you feel the product has improved other than just the concentration being changed. I look forwards to trying some. Just a note regarding the many comments on using sprayers for snow foams. My experience with using an IK sprayer is very positive (mainly with BH products), sprayers do have some limitations such as when the weather is warmer due to the product drying out quickly (although pre rinsing mitigates this), plus they are not that effective in windier conditions, i also find areas like door shuts are less likely to see any product - snow foams seem to get blasted into these areas when jet washing helping the cleaning process a little.
This is good information you share. I definitely take a different approach when I'm using the pump sprayers, being much more methodical in the application as it doesn't run off (like you say). The saving grace with Touch-Less is that it works so quickly that you can probably get away with a couple of minutes of dwell to reach it's effectiveness, so the drying out isn't as big of an issue as it is with stuff that needs 5 mins.
Touch-less v2 in a pump sprayer, it's crazy how little product you use.
I feel like a side by side test of pump sprayer Vs foam lance is required, isn't it?
Great video thank you. I currently use Autofoam but think I'll be giving touches a go now. Thi is the best review I've seen on it.
Teacher by day … detailer by night?
Ha, nope! I'm an Agile Coach and work in software development (but I'm not a dev).
