Private insurance is hardly the reason for high medical prices. Where I live I pay a third of my income every month for medical and social insurance and I will never see even a 10th of that. And the wait lines are basically: if it's not serious it will go away before your appointment, if it's serious you'll probably not be around to make the appointment.

Sims 4 taxes are absurd if you're housemaxing. For long term players though, rush the "shrewd" trait from the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration. This gives you 5% of your cash weekly from "investments," which is just free money. The richer you are, the more you get paid. This bascially lets you have generational wealth, and once you have enough to live your family can make money by doing nothing just for being rich.

I would totally like a blend of Sims 2 and Sims 3 (both are sharing the top spot of Sims-games for me) with a sprinkle of Sims 4 added in. I loved the gricery and clothing shopping, the private schools, the amount of hobbies and the rather difficult social interactions in Sims 2 (also the overall stability of the game). I did love the quirkiness and open world of Sims 3 (especially considering that Sims 3 felt like you were looking at a living and breathing world with sims behaving pretty unexpected most of the time). But I do love some features of Sims 4, even thou some of them need to be tweaked. The Infant lifestage, the milestone system (as opposed to that intrusive memory system of Sims 3) and even their way of the now overhauled relationship system works well for me and my playstyle. The build mode in Sims 4 is nice and I actually do like the financial struggle the game introduces if you choose to play with a low-level or side-career. I also love the gazillion options to earn money in that game, too. And Unions are a great idea! I'm totally down for this! (BTW: As someone who was in South Africa during the height of their water crisis I don't necesarrily think that the water consumption fine is out of proportion. It's just nothing Western countries are really used to. What Sims should do, however, is communicate better on how to lower your water consumption. And probably tick off "allow NPC voting" as the standard for new games).

Sims4 clearly the easiest to earn money. I earn 9.999.999 simoleons without cheats just list my masterpiece painting to ploopsy 😂😂😂

I am glad I am not the only one to want to do the math on how the Sims' economy and cost of living compares to real life! What I am most curious about is how the cost of living/wage changes over the four generations have kept up with changes in the real world over the same time period. Basically, do the Sims have to deal with cost of living hikes, inflation, and stagnant wages too?

Jim Farley didn't make 21 million dollars in pay, he made 1 something million and then got 20 worth of stock awards which he can't sell for a time, the reason they get so many stocks is because that is the incentive the board gives them to well.. make the company remain profitable, it's their "skin in the game" and what ensures they don't just tank the company for personal profit. Though i understand the unrest, comparing stock awards to simple monetary compensation isn't a direct apples to apples comparison and it's malicious to pretend that it is, stock awards come with all kinds of restrictions and limitations, Farley's are time-vesting restricted stock units. First of all they don't vest all at once, so he can't use it, consider it a promise of stock earnings if he stays long enough, some are performance-vesting so they rely on him reaching key metrics the board sets for him in order for him to earn them, it's the carrot the board places in front of him to make him run basically, but it's not direct pay immediately spendable in a bank account like an employee might get, on THAT front Farley got 1 something million pay, still a lot but when you add the stock options it makes it sound far more ludicrous than it really is
