reading my emotional college essay that got me into princeton, upenn, duke, and brown

Finally here. Reading my college essay that got me into ivy league. This one essay can be worth so much, and I honestly believe it was the only reason I was accepted for some of these schools. The one I read in the video is a 800 word version that I used for Questbridge. My common application essay was essentially the same but just shorter. Also sorry for the erratic upload schedule, I just hav...

*Hey. Jesus loves you.* ❤️
This is UNC-Chapel Hill lol. The mental health crisis there was real. Crushed my dreams of pursuing anything in healthcare before I even had the chance to explore it. I graduated and now work at a different university of a similar size, but it has a less “prestigious” reputation. The culture is so different- people really love it here and it shows. Professors are great as well and really care for their students. Also, this is a PSA to not join Greek life. Just don’t do it.
12:16 😭😭
You’re so laid back I like you
As a prior TA of ELE 206/COS 306 who has already graduated in 2021, I strongly agree with you and I also played your video to my now students. Respect!😀 Stay safe and take care.
Bro is the mastermind of the tik tok rizz party 💀
it could be any other school this kid is depressed
so why still staying in Princeton if you hate it?
guys i think 500 dollars is 500 dollars
when you are a straight, while male with no past trauma/military relations:
Hey! Your essay was so beautiful. It's takes guts to write that much personal things❤
are u infj?
I was unable to apply for a scholarship because I couldn't get a passport before the deadline and I cried my eyes out but am not giving up 🥲🤞 thanks for your advice
Wishing you well and thank you for your honesty. I hope every day is better. But you are onto better when you have the wisdom you possess. You are not alone and you are correct about this toxic culture. Good luck to you.
Here's my take on the Princeton experience from a couple of years ago (along with a few other alums' takes on it): ruclips.net/video/BQoIQ9gUsSM/видео.htmlsi=IYJ30BOCF02Lzuyp
gen z is going to change the world!
You are a brave and insightful and honest young man ❤
I've taken a 4 year Applied Computing degree because of my parents. I had a LOT of health problems and mental health issues they refused to let me address. I graduated with no internships or experience. If your parents attempt to force you into college, show them the job market, and SCREAM at them. DO NOT GO FOR THEM!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
im happy i came across this video. im going to graduate this semester and kinda lost with what what industry i want to enter into, but i do wanna work for a company with a deeper purpose, so im glad i watched this video!
Appreciate the honesty bro. Stay up
WOW this is great advice, thank you!! And I can't help but say that everything you've said is something you can learn from the Bible. God bless you!
there are for sure some snakes and very hurtful social climbers
I'm wondering where to start research culture and environment as an international student ToT
I love that you are so young and already aware of this Quon!
There are so many things much more valuable than money. Health, relationships, and a meaningful purpose are what truly matter. Literally sacrificing your life for a company is not worth it.
This was incredible insightful to hear. I'm a student at ucla right now and I'm also beginning to reevaluate some of my choices so this was so refreshing and mind-opening for me. great vid
I got a likely letter from Columbia and from Johns Hopkins for the bme program. My dream my entire life was to go into medicine and research, and I truly felt compelled towards Hopkins for that reason. My dad agreed, but all my friends said that medicine would not make me “rich by 30” and I would be in debt. They told me to go to Columbia and study finance, as there is a strange fixation with youth over jobs that allegedly would provide the quickest path to riches, morality and true substance of the career aside. I am heavily leaning towards Johns Hopkins now after watching this video. I want to be a doctor, I want to truly add to this world, not make my career off of exploiting people. Thank you for this video :)
Thanks so much, this is exactly the coaching I needed these days 🙏🙏.
Can someone please suggest to me whether I should join TKS (The Knowledge Society) for their 10 month teens program?? Is it worth it?? I got their acceptance mail last night...🌠
Thank you for this
THANK YOU I NEED THIS
In 5 years bro will be wiping his tears with 100 dollar bills. But seriously, I hope you'll feel better eventually, take a nap or something. (Obv prestigious college = hard and elitist but in my opinion thats just the type of people the ivy league etc attract, the tryhards opportunistic egomaniacs who wanna make big money or the children of those people)
Thank you. I sent this to my 12th grade son.
The only thing i regret about only focusing on grades in highschool is that i dont have any scholarship money lmao 😂😂😂
Bravo bro…bravo
You're mentality is so rare nowadays you actually just inspired me so much You should really look into islam. Try reading the quran, I think you'll resonate with its teachings.
I went to duke and had a great experience, so glad to hear your sister also had a positive experience.
I agree with your suggestions for alternative career paths... mostly. Unfortunately these fields (like medicine, agriculture) still face the same brokenness to the core of being infiltrated by people fully invested of squeezing every last cent they can out of their fellow citizen. I just completed my bachelor's degree and clinical year as a medical laboratory scientist, and like many others who chose medicine, I went into this with the goal of helping others. Now I am starting to see that my skills are being reduced to nothing more than a pawn used by the financially ambitious to appear more legitimate while they swindle the masses. This is done by some part by the hospitals themselves, but the much larger player in this are the insurance companies. Doctors, in spite of their decade + of highly skilled training, get it far worse in the agency they deserve to act on being revoked. Similar wars are being waged on those who desire an honest career in agriculture, though I am not too familiar with the ins-and-outs of that. I wish this idea of "leave and pursue goodness and those who work maliciously will leave you alone" truly happened, but anywhere these people see as a place to make money, they are there, working dililgently to suck that pool dry without a care for the future. It is egregious behavior and I don't see any solution that does not involve extreme conflict.
If you ever get to any decision making position In The future pls remember to make some good
@lynako2546 any position you're in requires you to make decisions that will affect others, though. I guess that's the shittiest thing about entering this stage of life, is realizing how a lot of choices to change anything for good requires swimming upstream, but you don't have the time/resources to choose that path every single time.
Bro, you know you can transfer to a different college right?
change your name to Daquan and move to a rich black neighbourhood
i needed this
I moved to thailand at age 26 and have slept with 300 women in 5-6 years
Sounds nasty and evil.

When I was your age I had the same opinion, now I realize that everyone has a certain lifestyle standard below which they feel undignified. For most people that's the middle to upper-middle class lifestyle. To make the minimum $80 - 100 k reliably you need a corporate job or be really good at machining. And if you come from a family that has never done labour, corporate it is. So people pursuing corporate jobs may not be chasing status, just normalcy. And steady money is important for things such as starting a family and allowing your child to be able to pay medical school
Uma still isn’t impressed.
Awesome vid Quon!
As a pton junior, I feel you 100% I rly do not even want my brother to go here
Third year in another “prestigious” university. You have no idea how much I needed to hear this
Try doing manual labor, construction, farming, or join the military. You will connect to the earth and what it really is. Highly doubt you will have the same viewpoint.
Wow. Carlton Banks looks different.
