Did you ever make a video on how to test etec injectors?
Beautiful work, should be wrapping up on my transom hopefully by weekend then on to the stringers so this video is timely. What is your stringers layout schedule? Keep the great content coming .
Great job bro 😊 can you tell us what cost estimation for such project. So someone can be prepared. Thanks a lot for all the videos.
Bought a 60 year old Aristocraft several months ago (first boat) and didnt even think to look at the keel. Back 1/3-1/2 of the keel looks like yours did. Been looking for a video on how to repair similar damage. So glad i found this. Unfortunately notni have to wait until spring to actually do the work but definitely saving the video. Do you have links to the products you used? I'd really appreciate it if you do.do you have a video on how to do the gel coat ? Thank you and great video.
Dude I wish you were my neighbor! I’d bribe you with cash, barbecue and beer to work on my stringers and transom!
Unreal job as always Dylan, this things gonna be awesome.
Small bit of advice. If you’re using epoxy resin 1708 is not ideal because the CSM layer is soaking up alot of your epoxy and making it very difficult for you to wet out the glass. Get some 1700 glass instead that doesn’t have the CSM layer and it’ll be significantly easier to wet out the glass. FGCI carries 1700. Epoxy has a much higher chemical bonding strength so the CSM binder layer isn’t required also the CSM is going to soak up about 30% more resin than is necessary making the lamination resin rich and more brittle. 1708 was designed for use with poly resins. 👍🏼
good job bro
Rear caps came out awesome!
Very Encouraging!
another great video...
Nice work man 👍
How do you like that brand of epoxy? I've only used West system and have been happy with it but I''m open to other alternatives.
I’ve been loving this rebuild. Great work man.
I’m actually using your method on my project. Looking good so far .
coming along.
Looking good! Keep at it!
Thanks man, getting there slowly!
Newbie question here but what is the hatch for? What will need to be accessed under there? Great job, been following along as I just bought a 32ft panga that needs a bunch of work
Thanks man appreciate the views! So the hatch gives me access to the bilge area under the floor so i can get to my bilge pumps, livewell pump, and engine mounts.
@@dylanbefishing of course! Did I miss you installing the pumps or is that installed after the floor is laid?
Nice work
Appreciate it! 🤙🏼
Thanks
You really like epoxy, looks solid man 👍
Hahaha this is true 😅 … I get decent pricing on it and never have to really worry about bonding issues
@@dylanbefishing what you putting on top Awlgrip and none skid
Starting to look like a boat again! That deck is rock solid. Nice job reusing the hatch!
Thanks man definitely a lot of cleaning up and shaping left to do 🙏🏼
Im always happy to see a new video. Keep them coming 😊
Thanks for watching, more coming soon!
I wish I had seen your video sooner, I just re-did a 20 foot mako: Tank, transom, floor, replaced engine with newer 150 Honda, I filled all the holes in the console. If I had seen this I would have put a live well just like you did, I think the small cooler in the front of my console is a waste. Unfortunately its too much work and plumbing to go back and change now.
Can I get your WhatsApp contact number? I will soon start my own of boat Project...
Do you have a discount code/affiliate link for FGCI?
im going to work on getting one. ill keep you updated
Love this series! Keep posting them !!
Thanks man! Working on the next video this weekend 🤙🏼
Awesome work. Did you use coosa or wood for the deck? Do you need to lay 1708 over a coosa deck? redoing my mako 19.
I went with Coosa and yes i did 3+ layers of 1708
I'm enjoying this project, looks like a lot of work, but fun!
Appreciate that 🙏🏼 Definitely a lot of work 😅
What’s up bro where you located?
Fort Lauderdale area
that deck is not suppose to have any air bubbles in the fiberglass
Im aware. Next time I’ll be glassing it outside of the boat and then glass the edges into the hull… hard to get every air bubble out using epoxy.
Why does it look like it has bubbles or that the way it is?
It’s a little of both. the roller I used kinda tinted the resin whiteish and then some of the air bubbles was nearly impossible to remove… I already glued the floors in so I had to do the best I can… next time I’ll be preglassing it outside of the boat and just tie the edges in. Live and learn.
@ Thank you!👍
Could it been better with regular laminating resin for bubbles?
Looking rock solid man! Did I get a peek of a 25 Bertram FB in the background? Next project??
🤫🤫🤫 thanks man
Your content making is nice. Any plan to grow your channel?
I enjoy watching what you’re doing. You lose me with “grinded down” though. I just can’t get past it 🤦🏻♂️
you really make fiberglass look fun. Nice work.
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it.
great job mate
Appreciate that!
What happens if it shows “check the engine kill switch the communication cable” there was nothing wrong before doing the replacement on the injector
At my age I never tear something out and throw it down. It goes straight in the trash. One step.
To be honest you're right lol.... I need to just buy a large trash bin to keep next to the job site
Great Volog! I have a Mako with slight damage from trailer in same spot, wish we could have seen Gelcoat application and hope to see how you made trailer bunkers Really enjoyed watching
I’ll be making a trailer bunk video… since it was an epoxy repair I prepped the surface with 545 to adhere with the gelcoat
Nice job
Thanks! Appreciate that 🤙🏼
Leave cap off when trimming …
Nice Work. I might have taken off the trailer cross member, since it looks like it's bolted in place
A bunk making video would be great. Glad to see you came thru the storms ok!
Yes got lucky down here lol and I’ll be working on that video soon 🤙🏼
Pretty work 👍
Can this be done with laminating resin?
I went with epoxy resin knowing it’ll adhere the strongest. Being in the spot it at I wanted to make sure of a solid repair
@@dylanbefishing Thank you keep up the good work
Disc quality of tool and your quality of work is going to bring your game to the next level. Good job congratulations
I have been a marine technician for over 30 years. I have worked with a lot of fiberglass and gel coat guys. And you clearly have a good talent for this best of luck
Appreciate that man 🙏🏼
I’m a handy guy w an 1980’s Mako with almost no Glass skill but encouraged to try after watching
Another good one my man! Thanks!!
You bet! Thanks man 🤙🏼
You glue the lip under livewell with epoxy? Beautiful work man👍
Another awesome video...man I wish I were closer to you...we are still in demo mode over here 😢😢...I wish I were as far along as you are!!...That is gonna be an awesome build Man!!!
