Thank you so much! I have a 2006 Evinrude Etec 90 . #1 cylinder wasn’t making power. This was verified by pulling the spark plug boot and seeing no RPM change. I did have spark and 121 psi compression on all cylinders. I tested the resistance of the fuel injector and it was only 1.7 ohms. Should be 2-3 ohms. So I bought the diagnostic software you used, new fuel injector and had the fuel injector dat file emailed to me. Installed everything and bam! Engine is running perfect again! Thanks a million! Couldn’t of done without watching your video!
Thanks bro, this was helpful! I didnt need to mess with an orange ignition wire, my etec was just plug n play swap the injector. Used a QR scanner on my android to get the coefficients to load into the EMM, no need for the dealer. Thanks man
Great videos brother, keep them coming-very helpful info! nice Mako 231/Etec, I have almost the same setup lol, got a 88 231 with a 05 Etec 225, just found out my EMM is bad keeps faulting a #18 code reading 55 volt circuit above range, have you ever dealt with this issue, or do you know of anyone in the Miami/FL area that might repair these emms or sell used ones-im stuck on this one-appreciate the content-I'm a fan!
Hi great video. Can you do a video doing more troubleshooting with the software. Like taking codes from the ecm it would be helpful. I ordered a set of cables to troubleshoot my engine over heating problem from Amazon .
Hey. great video. Learned a lot from it. I’m trying to get injectors done now on my 2007 175’s. They’re telling me they need a check sum number as well as the serial number? Any truth to that? What does the cs number do that the sn couldn’t? Also where did you find the injectors? Lol completely agreed that they’re hard to find.

Wish I seen this before spending $900 at Barnicle Bills and them still not sending me the .dat file that I am still waiting for. The software from them is $345. Looks like the same software on Amazon like you got is only $60.

i love it... never let me down as long as you listen to the engine because the injectors... 5 out 6 have been replaced and they're not cheap but other than that i cant complain 23ft mako goes 45mph on a flat day and pretty good on fuel
yes, then email it to yourself. After that, when the software asks you if you want to or have a scanner tell it yes. it will open a dialog box and you just copy and paste in the scanner boxes. The system will think you used a scanner and there ya go. all done after clicking the right boxes yes.
Hey Dylan, my engine is a 300 etech February 2006 , the injectors only have 2 wipers and your saying 3 wires ,there is no orange wire , I have twin 300 ‘s same dates , one has injectors with the orange wire , which is now a spare engine, and the one I have one my boat has 2 wires on the injectors, no orange wire , I was going to swap out a couple of injectors,as the 4 and 5 injectors have stopped working and I can’t get replacement, for the 2 wires, I see that the housing are interchangeable but the injectors are not , do you have any ideas , as you seem to be more knowledgeable that our local dealer. Thank you Eric Buckley

scan the qr code on the injector you bought, email that file to yourself, when the software asks you if you have a scanner. say yes. copy and paste THE ENTIRE THREAD of numbers you emailed to yourself into the two dialog boxes and follow the instructions.
sure. and there are several guys that you can send them to who will clean, replace the screens and test for about 35 dollars or less per injector. Very reliable and worth the time to ship ... just look u on google "who in my area does etec injectors"
the software will have a popup dialog box asking you if you want to use a scanner to get that code. say yes, copy and paste the number thread from the email into that dialog box (two times, one below the other in the second box) and then follow instructions. The system will assume you scanned these numbers in.

What happens if it shows “check the engine kill switch the communication cable” there was nothing wrong before doing the replacement on the injector

the orange wire is for the coil.

there is zero info on how to take the dat file from email to install on laptop. tried many times. it doesn't down load
